They really gotta add a notification whenever a report is successful and the bot is banned. I lose morale when I see that 95% of lms players are bots and they never get banned despite me reporting them all. But I especially lose morale when I see vids like this 😔
You want jagex to have good customer service? You're insane, that'll never happen. You gotta be an important youtuber with an audience to get anything done.
They used to do this so long ago back in classic. It takes so little effort for them to implement this again and it raises so much morale to see a report you made actually worked.
Pmods have a page in the Pmod section of the forums which shows status of current reports, but its not even updated correctly.

The best solution: once Jagex flags the bots they let them continue running, they change the loot table for those accounts flagged so they can only get useless items, and then they attempt to use those flagged accounts and IPs to link other bots to the same IP/accounts. Someone running a ToB bot will be running other bots too, no reason they wouldn't diversify. Its a win win because they can catch more bots and the ToB bots wouldn't know they've been caught so theyll just keep wasting time and resources running that character instead of a new one that would actually be able to get the drops.
This would result in the bot getting only mega rares and all other players getting soda ash. Have you seen Jagex try to fix or update anything?

These bots use proxies and SMART clients.
The soul wars thing is something known as Taxi games. Basicly a carrying service. All you have to do is follow the main person (the taxi), and he leads everyone to areas to capture to maintain your activity bar and give points at the end of the game. When you get to the boss, you stop following and attack the boss for some additional points and you're done. This is very useful for grinding the pet with very minimal effort, and also for xp for snowflake accounts. I've seen Rendi use it on his defence pure because it's his best xp/hr

I LOVE finding and crashing these. I love bot busting in general, but there's something even better knowing I'm hurting people who use RWT to skip content. I also usually end up with max points on the winning team. "Hooooooooooopppppppppp" "outtttttttttttttt" xD

I didn't want to do the mini game so I payed like 10m for them to do the work so I could get the fighter shirt for diaries. There's no rules in the game against using in-game incentivization to have people do things for you. You're paying for a service, in game. It all happens in game. It never leaves the game. Do you even know what RWT means?

I know two of the different groups that run the soulwars games. One of them has a bad staking addiction and I get the impression may rwt. The other uses all the gp to pay for mega scales and leeches on his 10hp hcim.

There's no way Jagex isn't just allowing bots to live. They must make money from bot loot.
Jagex knows bots keep the game alive. We are all adults, we don't have time to waste gathering resources in the hundreds of thousands for training one skill.

Runescape is the exact opposite of instant gratification so the people with money waste their money paying for things they could do themselves. There's a lot that can be done in runescape with minimal effort that people pay for. It's less that people don't have time and likely more that people find the things they need to do to get where they want boring.

OSRS is doing very good for itself and with that more and more players join. those players look at the price of a bond. and realize with a single google search there is 10 websites selling 4x that amount of gold for less money. why on earth would u buy a bond that goes for 11 mil if u can fetch 45mil instead so fighting the bots just gets harder and harder. for every ban wave they do gold farmers have 100 new accounts ready to go. also i think jagex bot detection is @ss. pardon my french but i see 12 year old andy's getting perm banned for auto klicking those 5 mage lvls yet there 5 zulrah bots per world XD
sadly quite few player base is bots and they pay money to bond up say quite few bot accounts, so of course jagex wont stop them.

Jagex aren't doing much if anything about the bots, just go to lunar island bank and u will see an endless line of vorkath bots with around 41 slayer and max combat stats, some with 50k+ vorkath kills and no other boss kc. obv bots and nothing being done about them.
As somone who plays on a private server I can confirm it's easy to make the bots go away jamflex won't do it because the world's will be emptier

Those accs are pr9lly buying a massive amount of bonds for all the other bots that they are being ran with so jagex don't ban them , also at this point I'm thinkin jagex runs their own bots just to buy bond they make the company millions a month and I bet if they reach a x amount quota they prolly get big bonuses a month

I'm someone who had emailed you regarding the Soul Wars bots but it wasn't at Soul Wars - instead they were trading a mule account below the GE on a certain world. Not just 1 mule, but 2 of them ended up showing up and the 2nd mule traded the 1st mule to get something. It was an obvious bot farm because they each had hundreds of thousands of zeal and wore the same outfit, with the same silly name and there were probably 50+ accounts. Normal people won't really have 50+ accounts just to farm Soul Wars.

I found and reported a farm of bots killing lizard men shamans in the lizard men temples. The usernames all used the same naming structure and were across multiple worlds.

The solution to bots in runescape is to start mandating a digital ID where creating an account is tied to the person's verified identity IRL. This can be done privately using zero knowledge proofs and start having control over which accounts are connected to individual botters. Once one bot is banned, the player is banned.
They need to start doing a sort of shadowban for bots where they just throw them onto a god awful loot table. Botters would never know and just think they're getting terrible RNG

Idk what corner of the internet you’re in where you’re finding people defending jagex. I’ve never seen a single person brain dead enough to think that jagex is actually doing everything they can to ban bots. They aren’t. They purposely let them roam free because they bloat the player count which looks good for investors. Jagex only bans the ones that make a huge difference to the economy (like the CoX bots getting constant purples driving the price of rares into the dirt). I’ve been doing barrows on my iron for months and I’ve seen the same fucking 13k kc bot on w485 the entire time. I reported it so many times and nothing happened so I just leave it alone and consider it a friend now since I see it every single time I go 🤣

So many bots doing blood runes. All with around 1400-1500 total, 200-500 guardians of the rift games for the runecrafting set and 93 agility for the shortcuts. Some have slightly lower agility and always eat and then drop agility pie dishes in the exact same spot
COX always had bots but it was risky to do because jagex had an eye on it, that changed. i told it many times jagex made it REALLY easy to bot in the games in recent years.

@@ivog2256 Well i did bot on my main account when i started (i only had 1 account at that time) now i got 6 main accounts 1 played myself the other 5 are botted to max, i never caught a ban on any of my bots i got a warning ONCE when i started and was still learing how to write stable scripts that i dont have to touch, now i own entire farms and automated the account creation i sell the accounts when im done with them and while i my farms are active i already bot the next generation for my projects up, its a circle at this point.

The whole sunfire splinter situation is created for botters.
There's no reasonable alternative for where to get sunfire splinters, each main that gets a quiver needs to buy 150,000 of them with most successful runs only giving you a couple thousand (before accounting for the other uses for splinters), and most mains won't do more than 1 kc of the Colosseum.

They won't ever truly fix it because it helps boost player count which improves business. I'm betting they actually have a competent system that won't ever be put into use because their numbers would plummet.

Idk when you started playing, but back in the day I crafted Nature runes for money. They were around 500-700 each, depending on who you were selling them to. That was before the abyss, after the abyss came out they went down a little, but not too much still got around 400-550 if I remember right, I quit playing a couple months after the abyss came out.
Come nex's bank and stay on any world for couple minutes u will see many bots login in for a secound and immediately log out cause they see u, u need to be quick and right click them so u got their nickname. I reported this bots everyday when im searching for teams and the problem is that im checking for example bots which i reported months ago and they have thosunds nex killed and still are not banned, okey i know, in this game are so many bots and its impossible to ban them all, but its one of the best money per h if not the best and they didnt get banned for a months its rediciolous

it would be easy to have a ML model to spot bots, they simply don't want to tackle the problem. It's profitable there are no incentive to attack all bots, they just need to make sure it doesn't go out of control. The biggest issue is the people buying gold for money irl, if there's no demand there won't be any offer.

We need people like Sir Pugger and all of you RUclipsrs to make a coalition, and to have the ability to make a difference. Because we are the ones who really truly deep down care about the game, and the vast majority of the players are people we need to keep safe from what they don't know..

At 0:45, the claim of instant bans is inaccurate. From my own experience, using the right robots at ToA doesn't lead to immediate bans.

Jagex has to do something about the revenant bots! It's almost impossible to kill any revenants, there's 3-4 bots in every word at every location wtf.
AYOOO idk if you read these, but there's a MASSIVE corp botfarm going on world 351. I teleported to Rimmington house portal on accident and there's at least 100 bots teleporting there to go into someone's house after they do a corp kill. All with more than 1k corp kc already

Just logged in for the 1st time since Christmas and found my 200 hour character banned for “macro/botting” I’ve never once done either so I’m pretty pissed :/ apparently happened to a lot of people in January? I play every few months for nostalgia so only just noticed :’( last thing I did in the game was that ice skating chekpoint Christmas event in December then was banned near the end of jan. Would this be a false positive to the bot detector or was my account hacked and used for botting??
appeal, if you were compromised and are telling the truth you will be unbanned. Botters use proxies on their accounts to achieve the same thing, they run a proxy and if they get banned claim they were compromised and get unbanned, ive heard of people doing this up to 10 times on the same account.
With that bit pray flicking the entire time while perfectly moving and never really taking unnecessary damage, I’m not sure how it’s not just the easiest thing to detect and ban

Mine got 10k kc and toped the ironman charts before I stopped, detection only matters when Jagex is loosing money.
It is easy, they just refuse to implement those systems because they all bots would be auto-banned and their sub numbers would no longer be artificially inflated.

I've played since Aug 2001, over 20 years jagex stance on botting has never changed. Was a Pmod for 4 years as well, would personally report 100s and see little action taken.

Not that its very serious, but a little while ago, i got a konar task to kill blue dragons in the ogre city dungeon and there was 100% a bot farm in there. several randomly named accounts all wearing the same gear on any world i logged in on.
Im a friend of that soul wars clan, and they are not bot. They play legit one person per 8-10 account manually moving each account one by one. They have higher level accounts with bis gear to pk anyone thats not part of the group. Follow the taxi rules, and you will be fine.
the name of it is zealgains no need to hide their name. and yes they bot. anyone with a pair of eyes will see how obvious it is.

ive seen a lot of really shitty bots, or super good trolls that really commit to a bit. dude at priff iron ore, was bashing away until suddenly he moved north too far, now it looks like "hes off track" idk how else to describe it, he clicks in a pattern, click north (click 1 rock, click 2 rock, click rock 3,(til invy is full)) click south to bank, click deposit all. i witnessed him click too far north, then he 1 2 3 stepped right out the mining area up into the trees in the middle of town. where he stayed for 2 raids and a star because i came back and he was still in the trees.
another dude was just yesterday, did another "off track" situation, at the anvil, then i see a dude walk up against the varr bank wall and thats when he broke loose, now hes stuck in a loop of trying to bank but also zero out on the anvil that he cant locate even tho he walked right next to it 4 times. eventually he back and forth walked himself into varrok castle. i got him to click outside the wall of the castle heading toward the wildy but one of the stupid castle doors closed on him and started him all over so instead i shut the doors on him and told him he was the most commited troll ive ever seen

I can’t imagine what jagex has to go through to develop their bot detection system. Players think that jagex can fix issues as simple as adjusting setting but actually it takes some trial and error complex coding.

SirPugger, you do not realize the viscous cycle that goes on. Sure the account can get banned, but it was hacked or phished in the first place. When the owner of the account reaches out to Jagex they will get their account unbanned or they wont. If they do the account owner will most likely have a cleaned account with low amount of GP on it. The amount of people who change their password to something they have previously used or is already leaked is mind numbing. So they recover their accounts. It gets unbanned. Then it gets hacked again. Repeat over and over.

Just to correct you about your profit/day stats for those TBOW bots. Drop chance is a little different that what you described. Lets say 1/1000 drop rate, that means at 1000 kills, you would have about a 66% chance to have had drop within that time. So while the chance is still >50%, over a 100 day period, the bots would average about 60-70 TBows. Still a ton of money but less profitable than what you are implying.
This goes for all drop rates btw, and why its so common to go "over" the drop rate
100 bot fees + osrs membership + inventory runs + account bans - this is an incredible feat and in the 1000’s of costs

Hey Sirpugger pls investigate the vorkath bots at free world ge. Those bots have like 32k kills for vorkath and the trade a low account then log off. They wear full bandos,dfs and dragon hunter lance.

world 489 has a skeletal wyvern bot farm 110-122 combat all in torags with whip and mind sheilds along with minimal stats for ele workshop and 72 slayer

Some of these groups are definitely bots, you can just hop a few worlds and find them. The ones I run into usually speak Hindi and have prayer switching bots.

When they speak, it's probably the service seller trying to get the buyer to hop worlds because other people are in it. They have to have private off so people don't follow them and they might not want to use discord. ZealGains may be legit, but the issue Pugger is trying to show definitely exists.

Just go there and hop down the list. Sometimes they'll be in an active game, but I don't personally think it's worth waiting around. Just keep hopping until you find one. Note down the world and time.

There’s an actually absurd amount of Vyre pickpocket bots right now. Every world has 2-3 bots in it. Most running 24 hours a day. They all have over 99 thieving and many are 110+. I can only imagine how many blood shards have come into the game from them.

The reason someone isn't taking care of this at Jagex is because someone basically is the replacement "Mod Jed" right now. Including the zombie pirate update that they had to then make a justification blog post about "we're not supporting bots"
It's only a matter of time before we find out who the replacement "Mod Jed" is that's f'ing all of this up
I think the bigger reason is cause the bots inflate the player count which looks good for investors. It wouldn't surprise me if jagex actually has a banning system that would work perfectly, but won't implement as it would decimate the number of players
There seems to be a ton of bots doing Vorkath, constantly seeing them teleport to Lunar Isle, banking, talking to the next banker to get kicked off the isle, and then running over and taking the boat that goes to Vorkath. Some of them have different gear, and have slightly different paths, but its all just repetitive behavior.
I don’t doubt there’s bots that do this but that’s just the normal way to get to Vorkath after resupplying.
Prices have also dropped from around 11k for the bones to around 9.3k for the bones

Not necessarily true. I bot for fun; I don't even transfer gold to my main account. Botting something like a boss is just as fun as doing it on your main account. It's really cool to see some script beat a boss so easily after you struggling with it. Then you bring in the lower levels, and see how low you can go. Or sometimes you bot it so you can learn the strategy. It's not all soulless geepee-making.

How about they make it so when you report a bot you get a small percentage of their bank shared with other people who also reported the bot if it gets banned.
That incentivizes bot hunting and reporting.

@@sprungs no, zealgains are people. They do collaborate with Royals to get multiple worlds going, but it all seems to be clicked manually. Otherwise games could go much faster than waiting on the Royals guys to click out of the portal one account at a time lol
It’s not big but I feel there’s a lot of bots at blast furnace, every time I hop to a world someone mid run logs out or hops world themselves or sometimes they hop to my world and leave a dynamite and leave😮

only problem with your gp calcs is that some of the bots are getting banned before they get a rare drop like a tbow, which accounts for a lot of that gp/hr.

PvP bots in wildy / lms are wild. Jagex does seeem to be banning some of the LMS bots that are usually sporting like a first and last name type of username
