This was so great to see all the greys in action. I'm annoyed at myself for feeling like I had to have them all! I pretty much only use my Cool and Warm greys!

What a great example of the warm, cool and neutral tones - thanks! - I just ordered some of the Copic grays - can't wait to try them out

Outstanding video, Antonia. Thank you. And of course, wouldn’t you know, the grays that I have collected so far are the Neutrals. :-/ Ha ha ha. I’m not totally clueless though. I had noticed that you and other artists I admire seem to only use Cool and/or Warm so I halted getting the Neutrals. So you can see why I am so glad you are publishing these videos. Thanks again. 🙏
I hope you have a happy, happy Merry Christmas! 🎄

Great detail, love that you used exact same image and explained it all. I haven’t bought a single marker yet. Still on the fence. I like them, but I have SO much stuff. 😂

Hi, Antonia! Yes, I'm back to commenting. I felt embarrassed by my last post. I have a difficult situation as caregiver to my chronically ill daughter and you touched me with something you posted. I generally stay off all social media to avoid enraging my ex-husband, who resents financially supporting us. So, Merry Christmas! LOL. I have a question about the shades of Gray..... The colors, not the metaphor. Or the novels. And that is: How do you use them to shade other colors? I have sets of Spectrum Noir markers and your copic explanation generally applies to those grays as well. I am just learning to use them, and this tutorial helps a lot. I think I'll stamp and color my own images to visually represent those gray families as a reference. Thanks again for demonstrating these.

You have nothing to be embarrassed about...we all have our struggles we're dealing with and thankfully we have this happy little hobby to keep our spirits up! Turning to your question, I don't often use gray to shade other colors...unless the color I need to shade is the darkest version of a particular color (like an R89 deep red copic marker). To shade colors, I just use a darker version of what ever color my main image is..so I would use blue to shade light blue, or dark blue to shade medium blue, or dark grey/close to black to shade dark blue... Hope that is helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions...am happy to help if I can! I wish you a very happy, healthy, and prosperous new year filled with love, sunshine, rainbows, and puppies!

Dear Brenda, I’m a mother and also a retired nurse and I know how difficult it can be caring for a sick loved one. I feel it’s even more heartbreaking when it’s your own child. It can be an exhaustive task. Then having to deal with other dilemmas not to mention life in general makes you a pretty wonderful person in my book. I’m glad you’ve chosen such a positive diversion such as paper crafting eg card making to help raise your spirit. You are a kind and caring person. I’ve read all the lovely comments you sent to Toni. Bless you!

Antonia, you never finished your sentence; ‘Set C has 24 grays, 12 Toner grays and ..’? What are the other twelve gray Copics in that Set C??
Loved your tutorial, and thanks for sharing! 😘🎄👍🏾❄️💫 Adorable bears!!

Hmmm...not sure what happened there. I don't know offhand, but I was looking at the marker sets on the copic website when I was narrating. I think Set C just has whatever grays were not included in Sets A and B...

So do artists have ink refills for every single marker? Yes copic's are expensive, which I can handle, but ink for every one of them? Yikes.
I guess I don't know how long a single copic will last before needing a refill.
