Years ago in an interview Paul McCartney argued that the lasting influence of the Beatles was positive because the message was love. At the time, when I thought myself very cool and superior, I scoffed at what sounded to me sentimental and kitchy, but getting older and following the cruelty and cynicism of poltiicans and religious fantatics, then listening to this much loved song again and watching the reactions of the audience here, I am coming to the conclusion that he was right.
I was a Stones fan not a Beatles fan though I certainly did listen to The Beatles a lot but I find that the Stones music has not aged nearly as well as the Beatles music and no I haven't listened to the Stones for decades but I still listen to The Beatles everyday.

My favorite part of this video wasn't the performance of the song itself, but seeing how many generations were all brought together under the same roof, united by the music of The Beatles. That is the magic of music.
I find it increasingly harder to listen to not only McCartney, but the other wonderful guys without tearing up at such beautiful, inspiring and meaningful music. I feel blessed I grew up “at just the right time” for some of the best music this planet has been privileged to experience. Watching the generations floors me. I was twelve when the Beatles appeared on stage in America. It hooked me into music, changed my life, and liberated something inside I'll never forget. To see youngsters so taken by his music is beyond belief.

One of the great highlights of my life was taking my then 15 year old daughter to see Mr. McCartney in concert. I'm one proud dad who can say I helped my kids discover the amazing talents of the Beatles.
I was 10 when my friend Steve invited me over to his house. We sat on the couch in his den and he showed me a new album and on the back were all these different pictures of the Beatles and we were deciding which one was who and there is one picture that does not show any face just the back of the head. I remember it like it was yesterday. We understood at 10 how special this new eagerly awaited album was. It was a Hard Day's Night.
I've always loved this song and sang it to my children from the time they were infants . Now my daughter sings it to her children. It's still makes my heart happy.❤

One of the great highlights of my life was taking my then 15 year old daughter to see Mr. McCartney in concert. I'm one proud dad who can say I helped my kids discover the amazing talents of the Beatles.

I was 10 when my friend Steve invited me over to his house. We sat on the couch in his den and he showed me a new album and on the back were all these different pictures of the Beatles and we were deciding which one was who and there is one picture that does not show any face just the back of the head. I remember it like it was yesterday. We understood at 10 how special this new eagerly awaited album was. It was a Hard Day's Night.
