We show you how to change your harley pin code, and also show you how to view your pin code so you can record it incase your key fob battery every dies.
Holy COW! For 8 years, I have not known the pin for my bike and have been told by NUMEROUS techs unless I already knew it, there was nothing that could be done unless it was completely reset. For EIGHT years, I was given the same answer and I happened to find your video and low and behold, your information worked! I finally know the pin and may not have to get another FOB ($200 for a single one is absurd). THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Makes one wonder are the dealerships ignorant or just shady.
Will try this tonight as mine won't start tells me to enter pin a pin I do not know since the battery failed and installed a new one.
I hope it works, was so upset at this fob junk and now seeing this vid fobs are actually worthless.

Bike wouldn't start, been stranded for 24 hours. Called harley they said I had to get it to them so they could hook it up and find my pin. Figured RUclips would have something on it. Your video saved me so much hassle within 5 minutes. Thank you so much!

If it doesn't work. The way it worked on my 2008 roadking classic was have keyfob on person. Sit on bike. Turn run switch off. Cycle ignition switch 3 times (off, ign, off, ign, off, ign). Tap left turn Signal 3 times. Tap right 1 time. Bam! It shows!

I have had this bike for 5 years and never learned the PIN. My FOB adore on me at work, at 0300 last night. I pulled the battery, reinserted it and the bike started. But now I have changed my PIN and hopefully never have this issue again. 👍🏽

Just did this for my 2017 breakout. Worked like a charm, had to try it a few times but it worked

It would be nice, if you mentioned, you have to have a working key fob present to do this. Just throwing it in the cup holder doesn't exactly indicate that.

Today, we were in Reno for a bike rally 230 miles from home and one of our riders lost his fob and key. Got dropped as we were pulling out of the hotel parking lot and he didn't discover it until we had ridden 15 miles to a gas fill-up. We attempted to locate the pin including calling the prior owner. No dice. Eventually, Two riders went back to the hotel and found the fob and key, the former of which was in several pieces having been run over by a car. One of riders took the inside of the fob with the computer chip and inserted the lithium battery in an attempt to see if it would work. The rider turned on his ignition and voila, the fob despite extensive damage was communicating which allowed the bike to be started. We all committed to setting up and knowing our pin when we returned. Set mine up using your video. Easy peazy! Thanks.
I just tried your way and it works pretty good 2 clicks on the left turn signal and I also looked at somebody else video on RUclips that does three clicks on the left turn signal and it also works Thank you. It worked for me.

I overheard this same story from the dealership yesterday. Ironically, I went out to go for a ride last night and my FOB battery was dead, so bike asked for PIN, which I didn't know ( until now, LOL )

Thankyou. My fob hasnt been connecting when i leave work when its cold or raining. But will connect eventually after i turn the key on and off multiple times then wont do it at all till the next night after work. Thankyou. Very helpful

Is there any switch sequence I can use to get in to my system? I have a 2012 Road King (FLHP, Police version) and no fob, just the tank mounted switch.

Wow!! This saved me today. I have a key lock for fuel cap. Filled up today and took off. Drove about 20 miles to store. Bike won’t start. Check my pockets for fob… nothing. I call gas station tosee if anyone found and turned it in. They did. Pulled out phone and youtube. Called dealer. Gave me my code. Started bike up.

Do you have a video tutorial on why the Trip A and Trip B odometers don't display the correct real time miles ridden after being reset to zero? While riding, both of my A&B Trip odometers jumped from 27 mi to over 9000 mi instantly.
I’ve watched 2 other videos about this- but neither of them said how to start the bike with the PIN.

Hey Fred how about when the fob is broken and smashed when I the fob fell out of my pocket and vehicles tires ran over it.
The previous owner had pass away and I didn't get the 5 pin # and when my fob was working I didn't know or check what was the current 5 pin.
How can I retreat the current 5 pin numbers without a working fob?

No, you'd have to put it in each time you wanted to start it without the fob.

I did this in the video to my 2018, but it will not pull up a saved pin number from the previous owner or from Harley. What do I do?

Excellent tutorial. Just know you cant have 0's so 80085 is unfortunately not able to be used. Its like harley davidson knew their target market too well.

Hey man my 2004 night train doesn't work with any of these codes or procedures. I lost my keys and fob bike is lock3d and armed and I can't get pin to display
This does not work for my bike. I've tried it three times and it does not come up and show me anything on my LCD other than the time after I hit the left blinker twice. Is there a different method for different bikes? I have a 2008 Softail crossbones
My 2018 Harley Softail deluxe is tipped over (hate the “jiffy” kickstand). Most of the turn signal lights are flashing non-stop. I unlocked my front wheel and took the fob out of ignition.
Next, I followed directions in user manual (quite different from your specific instructions (great video by the way!). When the display shows, “Enter Pin” should I press the Left directional first? Once or twice?
Your guidance would be appreciated.

Mine is a 2019 Street Bob and I don't get the current pin displayed. "-0---" is all I see. Last 5 of VIN doesn't work either.

You need the fob to do what he did at the beginning. Without the fob, the thief won’t be able to see your code.

Do you have to have the fob to change the pin? I ask because if you don't then anyone can get on your bike and do what you just showed and steal your bike?
You need the FOB to change you PIN. To start the bike with your PIN the FOB must be out of range (As in its lost).
