    It's like that in a lot of relationships. That's the part of a lot of people don't understand in the relationship that you have to grow as a person. No one is perfect in the relationship, but you become perfect for each other. Things may not work out but at least you will have respect for one another which is completely different from how a lot of relationships end.

      the point of relationships is to find ur imprefect half to grow together, grow together, learn about eachother, communicate with each other and try to make it work. the reason why there are so many failed relationships because this requires alot of patience, empathy, and concious effort. people arent generally willing to do that. people think they can find the perfect person, the perfect relationships with little conflict, and ride off into the sunset. unfortunately this is not true and not how different human beings put together work.

    Sounds like my recent past relationship :/ I’m the type who wants to talk things through & he was the type who wants to leave & ignore the issue. I told him the exact same thing lmao I can give him space but that we still need to communicate about the issue after. Unlike Leslie who took accountability & learned & understood the importance of communication, my ex still would rather ignore the whole issue and wished it would magically go away. And then he’d get frustrated when I brought it up again after I’ve given him time. I’m glad I ended things with him. He wasn’t a bad person, just never dealt with confrontations or anything before so I understood. He’s never really talked to or apologized to people before so I’m glad I was able to help him with that at least, but he never progressed passed a simple “sorry” & continued to ignore issues, I could only be so understanding & patient for so long. If anything, im glad he showed me that I will no longer settle for anyone who does not have any sense of emotional maturity, awareness, or intelligence. I won’t tolerate poor communication either. Okay yeah this has gone on long enough lmao really just took this opportunity to rant about my ex bc that relationship took a toll on me

Like if x was the norm in your first relationship, you accept it as fact and assume that's how relationships go, when they're just one of many experiences and ways that relationships work, and just because it was the norm in one relationship, doesn't mean it is for another.

    People don’t realize that talking out your problems helps a relationship better between partners so you and your partner can have a better relationship. Some are not so lucky running away only escalates the problem more. Then you realize later on in the years like damn i’m the problem that caused this. The opposite partner realizes what they did wrong and you learn later on that you had a part to play in the relationship as well that caused the problem in the first place. I’m not a psychologist I just know how the mind works and i have experience in recovery almost coming up on 6 years of sobriety on the 28th of April but I did have 10 years prior to it before I relapsed. That family relationships when I was drinking to my father who’s now in recovery as well. I used to hate my father so much because of what he did long ago divorcing my mother. But then I realized later on as I got older that I caused it. I did something between me and his relationship as father and son that i caused us to fight like I needed to step back and really take in what I did. Relationships will have ups and downs but running away doesn’t solve it. Talking it out helps alot. I know I’m not talking to Fuslie here but this is for everyone who’s in chat. I would love to see relationships works between partners who are having problems. But if your in a toxic and abusive relationship and you can’t sand it anymore by all means leave get away from it. But if your in a relationship that is not as bad but verbal fights please talk it out you will get a better understanding on how your partner feels and you will see how it benefits you to get better in the relationship and your partner will see how much you truly love the person. I’m going to shut up now sorry everyone. 😅

I've learned that if you're partner & you are both mad that's no way both of you can get to an agreement or communicate if both are mad@ the time is better that both take a break calmed down think about it. When both can talk without having to scream @ each other is the best, but it takes much Communication for both that's all.

    When i was in my teens, my bf would come to my class and sit in front of me and talk to me during breaks, one time, i was eating and he sat there and started to talk about a common interest with a girl in my class.
    I got mad, abruptly stood, and stormed off to the trash can to dump my trash, they were shocked because of my pretty dramatic movement, when I came back, he asked if I was okay, completely oblivious that i was jealous, and i was extremely prideful so i passive aggresively said no, feigning to be fine.
    Yet, he accepted it and went about his day completely clueless of my feelings.
    It was after many observations of his personality that I realized that my man was the densest man alive. He could not get social and emotional cues, so much so that I was starting to think he was kinda autistic. (That would explain how he always gets the top grade for any subjects relating to maths and algebra, like i would get a 60 and the guy would get 95, like, how? Snd he would flunk a lot of the other subjects so it wasnt like he was a hard working student) That was when I realized, if I don’t say anything, he will never get the hint.
    I went from running away mad without explanation to running away mad before giving my explanation to just telling him straightforwardly how i feel about anything without feeling overly emotional or dramatic in the span of a decade.
    It may be character growth or just my maturity kicking in, but once i started to open up about my feelings, he did too with issues that he was never able to discuss with anyone else. And he said what we had must be extremely special because he has never felt this open and willing to talk in his life, which i find sweet.
    As we grow as people, it doesnt mean we get less emotional, he has encountered a lot of trouble as an adult that makes him rage more and more, and i felt obligated to soothe him by trying to help him work things out, he says he is grateful to have me during his horrible times but it was he who taught me that talking things out and accepting my feelings is always the right thing to do ☺️

    How is "I was trained by my bf" a good defense exactly? If you behave badly, it's you who is responsible. No need to blame some other guy for your behavior.
    It's good she admitted this but c'mon even now looking back at it, your response could've been better.

    • @talialalalala
      @talialalalala Год назад +117

      Why does everything have to be seen as a “defense”? It’s an explanation for why she was the way she was as a young person. She acknowledged that it was a mistake and unhealthy. People aren’t born perfect, dude.
