Great comparison video. It's worth mentioning, from what I've read in the LP4 Launch group, is that the 3rd axis will not work in trolly mode with the LP4
@@TheReformationWoodshop yeah, the weight of the LP4 was stated to be the reason. Just didn't want someone deciding on both that may have researched and seen trolly mode to be disappointed after the fact. Doesn't take away from your excellent video though. Thank you for making it
Thanks for bringing this up. When he mentioned that it worked I already was searching up how to buy one to go with my lp4 specifically for trolley mode.
I chuckled when you put it in the toddler seat in the car! Haha, I put my things in there when the kids aren't in. Thank you for this video, actually so helpful!
Great info, laser pecker did warranty my 2. Just got it back and haven’t tried it yet. Am definitely interested in the 4, I guess it might make my wish list
In Canada, the LP2 is as cheap as $1100 after tax from Amazon. It's been on sale several times in the past 6 months. The LP4 was about $2300 after shipping which is literally double the price. Not sure if the LP4 is worth the price difference. I haven't received my LP4 yet but hoping it is worth it.
Very good vid. I got the LP 1 Pro and it was good. I gave this one to my son and got a LP 2. I just want to do drink coasters and napkins. I like the LP 2 so far.
Got an LP4 on the queue, but the guys are taking a lot longer than expected to ship out all units. Can't wait! - got a lot to do and on top learn how to properly use this!
How durable.. is this setup? Will the 4 last for years? Or are these things expensive bookends that will only work for a few hours or so? Also.. can you use it to laser engrave paper? In particular coffee bean bags?
Hello , What is the finest ( thinnest ) size of line can the laser picker 4 engrave on plexiglass and how can I control the engraving depth . Thank you
hey! great video thanks, could you tell me how fast the metal laser engraver is? For exemple, how long did it take you to engrave the piece of metal at the end of the video? Thanks :)
Hello, and awesome video! This would be my first laser, which I will use for many different projects. My question is, with the more powerful laser, is it fine enough to personalize pens, which I turn?
Me parece muy interesante la comparación, los dos son de FIBRA, que medidas de corte con los rodillos correspondientes tienen y por cual me tengo que decidir a la hora de comprar
Question with these machines, is there no exhaust necessary! I've been going between diode or CO2 laser, and it seems like venting is so important! Would the LP4 cut ornaments and such out of wood and do intricate cuts?
Exhaust is definitely important. I vent out my window anytime I cut. They can cut ornaments but I suggest taking the leap and getting something bigger like this (www.xtool.com/products/portable-diode-laserbox-d1-for-laser-engraving-laser-cutting-b?ref=clSNUlHMSPHtmu&)
I'm looking for a laser in the price range to cut out toolbox foam. It's hard to find one with a build volume the size of a toolbox drawer, so I was thinking this may be a good option to just move it around and do a section at a time. Since the laser source is fixed in the center, how noticeable is the angle on the outside cuts?
If you do that max size cuts, I think the angle of cut would be too noticeable. I have heard of folks using the XTool for foam cutting and you might find one in the price range.
Curious question... I'm looking at their site and I don't see the Laserpecker 4 anywhere... I see they have a pretty cool looking LX1 Max on pre-order... but the L2 is the latest in their line it seems unless I'm looking in the wrong place? ...actually I redact that... Just saw your link... it's a Kickstarter link... so is this thing actually in production yet? Is this the same company as the one I'm seeing selling that LX1 Max? It also seems to have the dual laser and also appears to support a larger area (a larger price at $2,700 USD for all machine plus all the accessories.)
Yes it’s the same company and yes the laser is in production and currently being shipped. I’m in the LaserPecker group on Facebook and many folks have posted their packages being delivered.
@@TheReformationWoodshop So what your thoughts about the LX1 Max vs the LP 4? It seems that the former, while a bit more pricey, actually scales better to overcome the limitations that the LP 4 has since it can't fully utilize the mobile platform on the L2.
They’re available on Kickstarter and Indiegogo. I don’t think you got ripped off, they’re currently fulfilling orders as we speak. You should’ve been given a backer number and if you check their Facebook group folks are posting that they’ve received theirs and what number they had.
All I want is the ability to etch a small QR code on a dog tag sized piece of strainless steel - 2 inch x 1 inch. - any cheaper recommendations? Would be a high quality metal but a scanable QR code to go on a keyring or even a dog collar. @@TheReformationWoodshop

Absolutely, the LP4 is too large for that. Would be funny to watch honestly lol

I’ve heard they’ve been taking awhile, sorry about that. Good luck!
Sounds good simple strightfoward advice. Thank you. I am struggling with the " Do I need this OR Do I want this?"
The answer is always NEED 🤣 Truthfully though, if it makes you money… get it.
Does LP2 trolly mode work with LP4 ?
How durable.. is this setup? Will the 4 last for years? Or are these things expensive bookends that will only work for a few hours or so? Also.. can you use it to laser engrave paper? In particular coffee bean bags?
Yes to paper and coffee bags. I’ve done that before. And no to the bookends… they’re extremely well made 👍🏻
I'd like to see a comparison between the LP4 and the xTool F1.
It’s up on the channel! Check my most recent videos!
I didn't wait for LP4. It was almost ready and I bought the LP2. LP4 would have been worth the extra money
For sure.
What light burn program should I buy for the LP2?
For stainless it says coating needed? Anyone know what that means??

i need one for real engraving, you know, with a nice depth. i don't want a marking, which is a very light engraving. Can the LP4 make it?
excuse me lighburn compatible with the LP4

I believe it can if you first coat it with a dark color like a black paint or sharpie.

Hello there I’m new to laser engraving I’m looking to engrave on porcelain like hard Italian porcelain tiles would this works.?
I do think you can engrave on tiles you just need to coat your material with a paint or something first.

Yes! I’ve seen folks use the LP2 to get it done so I assume the LP4 does it as well (just faster and cleaner)

Possibly because the kickstarter ended. Whenever they launch products most companies have early bird pricing.
