I was wishing the same thing! I hope some of these can be ported onto the C3 Aircross older models, such as the auto folding ORVMs and LED projector headlight.

@@Heh6ic The platform is eCMP used by all fiats, citroen, Peugot and Vauxhall and all the respective cars are 5 stars in the best in crash rating - Euro NCAP.

@@SPM_SS Thar is a rugged off road vehicle. It is supposed to be having such rugged door handle on it, but here it is a cute little delicate coupe. These handle looks Cheap on such pseudo coupe.
@prasb Wrangler is a rugged off-road vehicle. Why doesn't it have flip up handles? Why coyluldnt Mahindra copy the door handles while copying the vehicle? Because no one buys a car for the door handles.

Have you seen new Porsche Taycan (more than 4 crore worth car). It comes with similar flap type handle (yes, there is a change in the shape), Mahindra Thar, Suzuki Jimny and few of the new BMW electric models..all come with flap type door handles...
And no request sensor, no engine start-stop button

I love Citroen..always brings some feature that is novel, practical and cool. The thigh adjusted seats are gonna be a big game changer. Now everyone will follow, as usual.

Citroen Basalt is good car, good proportions size and design. If pricing goes well its good overall package.
They have been clever to keep a engine displacement low for better fuel efficiency (resulting in lower grunt/punchy pickup) as people want looks, space, pricing, reasonable mileage, good ground clearance, large touch screen, good interior space and comfort..it seems to tick all boxes to pull people to citroen showrooms.
No doubt its fresh looking car and seems to be winner on cards which may eat into existing competition for sure!!
Interior should be black if out is white. No it's real race is with TATA Curvv. Boot space very Nice. I remember of Maruti SX4. I am amazed with names of CARs coming Basalt , Curvv , maker's must think of nice names which easily come in mind of person. Rest all my good wishes.

Citroen finally is listening to the feedback and are giving the requisite features never offered at the first place. And the adjustable thigh support for the rear seat is simply unique.
The latest gen c3 aircross facelift in Europe is sooper cool and that's the one for Citroen India to upgrade to ...to set the sales chart ablaze

I have one kislux bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...
This is another chance for Indian car buyers to understand how to make a wise decision in a car purchase instead of getting fooled. I pray that this will be a big hit, that it will lead the Indian car industry in the right direction, and that it will save the hard-earned money of the middle class. Good luck, Citroen.
Tata curvv looked like a sedan put on bigger boots from the side.
This on the other hand looks like a much better balanced design aesthetically.

if they offered hybrid model oh my god citroen would have made bags of money. Honda missed that opportunity with Elevate and now citroen.
Citroen c3 was also a good car. But they killed it by cutting basic features. If they avoided cutting bits at the time of launch, then they could have gotten better sales. Indians are ready to spend money. Why do they need to cut basic electrical mirrors. I hope this car will raise good sales.

Finallly Citroen understood the indian market
The prices just came out for all the models. I think the mid range model (Plus) is the one everyone will be going for before the prices come out. I was expecting that to cost around 9 L Ex showroom which will translate to around 10.20 L on road which could've been a good deal.
But Citroen chose to sell their Plus model at 9.9L ex showroom which will translate to around 11.25L on road. At this price point I don't think it's a good deal. There are other cars that provide better features and almost similar riding experience and safety. I think Citroen messed up with pricing their Plus model at 2 lakhs difference.
All maruti lovers are deliberately loving the looks of this car😂

What about safety ratings...can we expect 5 star this time..?? Unlike Big Zero scored by its siblings.
And if not 5 Star then it is of no use.
It should score good since it has a lot more safety features than the C3. If you read the full report for C3, it had a stable body shell which is quite important. Even a 5 star rated Verna does not have a stable body shell and it cannot withstand forces greater than the ones at 64 kmph. In reality, the verna is nowhere near worth that 5 star rating is not as safe as other stable body shell 5 star cars. I am willing to bet that Basalt will be as safe as verna in real world conditions if it has required safety features & strong structure overall.

I am waiting with bated breath for Autocar review of the Basalt. Citroen has a winner. What they need to ensure it's worthiness is to market and price it right.
I wonder why the boot space, wheelbase & ground clearance is less as compared to the C3, because right off the bat, it seems like a bigger car. Would be nice to see a small sunroof in the facelift version. I do agree with some people in the comment section on the fact that this does seem like a much cleaner, no fluff design as compared to the Tata Curvv. Really hope the engine does not disappoint. As a whole, seems like a lovely package though.
