      For 8.7 , ertiga comes with same size extra seats and with 1.5 NA. Where as this is just 1.2 NA. It will fail in our market

      @@samshivp2358 I am just comparing the price vs what is cost of producing one + tax. First, they are in same tax bracket due to size and Size is comparable to ertiga. I don't see this price as attractive, considering smaller engine

    I think Citroen has made a car that minimises sending back for repair or parts replacement every now and then . They may have sensibly done this keeping their limited service centres in mind.
    No subroof is one example - no sunroof means no water leaks.

    Small request. Please do a comparo with a 1.0 TSI Skoda/ VW sedan. Maybe a variant which is close to Basalt's pricing. For some reason, I think Basalt is going to attract sedan buyers more than boxy crossovers.

    Base price is spot on and aggressive but Citroen please don't disappoint us with the price of mid and high end models of basalt.....

      We will only know the pricing of the variants at the end of August or start of September. Till then, where do you think Citroen would price their mid and top variants at?

      @@evoIndia There shouldn't be more than 1 lakh rupees(ex showroom)price difference between the variants. In automatic transmission variants, the price difference can go upto maximum of 1.5 lakhs(ex showroom).....

    The good thing is that cittroen was able to make the hype properly. Their marketing team does the great job here by launching it same time with curvv. Basalt gets many more attention due to competition with curvv... Whether you hate it or love it.. You will speak about it unlike what happened earlier with aircross or c3 itself.

    All the missing features u mentioned , r missing on my AX7 Mahindra XUV700 AWD (without luxury package which had additional waiting period of 4 months) but yay

    This car has more functions now. Waiting for them to introduce cruise control. At least for top automatic models. Rest seems good. Hope it will sale in some numbers

    I need to decide between curvv and basalt.. only thing thats pulling me back from basalt is gncap rating..( last time it had only two airbags when it was tested... since now it has 6 airbags ..hoping for a good score..)

    Most important section is covered here. Driving experience, passenger experience, cabin isolation, suspension... These are the fundamentals of a car and those all are positive only. Eager and hopeful for it to have good sales number.. Been a part of this project directly; indirectly.

    Thigh support and head rest is a cool and most appreciated feature as compared to sun roof. I think indians who have common sense will appreciate this.

    The great thing i liked about this car is, they give without sunroof and ADAS.
    Only thing in the engine aspect, it would have been good if it is 4 cylinder

    First of all. I enjoyed the Review. Price is little higher side. For this price xuv3x0 is offering best and most powerful engine too TCMPFI. BASALT BasE VARIANT OFFER NA engine. Safety also important. Ground clearance 200mm offered by 3xo.
    Looking at this either Nexon or 3x0 is a better option

    Like the C3 Aircross the plus turbo variant of Basalt is going to be the VFM variant for most of the buyers. Waiting to hear the prices 👍

    None of Citroen cars were cheaper they were providing “Value for money” it just perception of different mindset’s and still some people will find it not worthy.

    Seems to be a more rounded package than before, though still could use few more features to make it more 2024. Overall styling works and is much better than Tata Curvv; and maybe bigger wheels could have made it even better looking. Citroen is slowly learning and making changes, hope they find the right mix as fewer cars are anyways are sold in their top variants in this category.

    I don't care about sunroof. But if they had option to opt ventilated seats n bigger wheels n 1.5 engine. I will spend xtra. I wish u gys tend to talk more about suspension/ riding comfort. Which would be their selling point? Showing performance over bumps n holes.

    Good car if you keep in mind the pricing and it is better then some sub 4 meter cars but you can't compare it with other 4.3 meter cars like creta and seltos just because its length is also 4.3 meter.
    A lot of big features are not there and the quality of the infotainment screen and drivers display and even the audio system is just not comparable with other segment leaders

    All I heard was : It's a trashy, rubbish, totally royally ignorable car, has no sunroof (really!!), 'scratchy plastics', hasn't got this, hasn't got that, blah, blah, blah...but apart from all the above, it's a good car!!

    Baruthi Chuzuki should learn lessons from Citroen . I wish that day comes when Citroen would crush and dethrone Baruthi Chuzuki in India . Definitely Citroen build quality a lot better than tin cans

    Except for that eyesore that is the meeting point of A-Pillar with the Roof, it could have been smoother, instead of lifting it straight out of the C3 Aircross. It spoils that coupe effect it wants to have. they have done it with the C4X, why not do it with this?. Because of that Sharp angled A-Pillar meeting the roofline, many would associate this with Swift Dzire 1st Gen.

    I don't get it. You get an SUV for the practicality, coupe SUV just shortens the rear seat height and looks weird. I'd rather just get the normal C3 aircross over this

      They are not selling much, tooling cost is very high. They will come up in facelift. Stallentis is very frugal in investment. I don't think they will change it until recover tooling cost.
