Summer Rains Sacrifice - Paleoart Process

A simple little summary video of the process for this piece.
“Summer Rains Sacrifice”
The rains have returned to the Lower Shaximiao Formation, approximately 166 million years ago. A young Datousaurus’ first river crossing with its herd has ended in tragedy, and an unexpected feast. Floodwater swept away the inexperienced sauropodlet, striking rocks and filling its lungs with the muddy torrent. In the morning during a break in the storms, a group of mesopredators gather to enjoy the bounty. Chuandongocoelurus, Kaijiangosaurus, and Gasosaurus coexist peacefully during this moment of abundance.

Commissioner here: When I was a kid I bought a Scholastic Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs that was noted for two things, 1 for its truly awe-inspiring in all the wrong ways reconstructions of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals (they included all eras of animals in it for some reason?), and two for the colors which did in fact always stick with me.
One example, was the Gasosaurus during the Jurassic section that stood out heavily amongst them for being really pretty in colors but god-awful in its reconstruction. Years later, when I decided I wanted to commission Emily I decided to on an impulse make a Gasosaurus (the guy on the right chomping Datousaurus Leg). But, things evolved and given Emily's good rates for purchase we decided it would be accurate to draw most of the small theropods in the environment (The Lower Shaximao).
Taking inspiration from Wildebeest crossings and the feasts that animals such as crocodiles have on them while they do, as well as the fact that even today Mesopredators gather to to eat, we decided to imagine a scene wherein a Datousaurus herd crossed a river and its youngest member was swept away as it flooded the night previous. The name of the work which I decided upon 'Summer Rains Sacrifice" is that despite the loss of a possible great Sauropod, the Podlet still gave Mesopredators food.
Hope you all enjoyed, I intend on commissioning Emily again for another thing but it all depends on the money I am able to save and if College Starts up for me.
