Leshansaurus vs. Agilisaurus Hunt | Paleoart Process with COMMENTARY | Middle Jurassic Dinosaurs
Another paleoart commission featuring animals from the Lower Shaximiao Formation. These Middle Jurassic Chinese dinosaurs are always very fun to draw and figure out! Process is a timelapse drawn in Procreate and Photoshop with my somewhat minimal narration, especially in the middle.
I hope you enjoy watching it and don't mind my choppy editing and mouse clicks too badly, I'm still working on improving my narration and video editing skills. Also I'm sure I'm butchering lots of the pronunciations because I trip over words even when I'm familiar with them and there's plenty I was trying to say out loud for the first time.

A collection of four speedpaints from July. The Valley of Gwangi, an interpretation of Toon-Rex's Utahraptor, a scene from Dark Age 1987, and finally a quiet moment of rest with the Father T. rex from Primitive War with a family of red-shanked douc monkeys. All art drawn by hand in Procreate for iPad using an Apple Pencil.

A lot of the main elements other than different Godzillas come from the bull dragon from Reign of Fire.

Yeah but there's debate around if it was originally intended to be during the production of the movie.
I'd like to think that it was planned to be a Giga from the onset. Given the time this entry was released and how it wasn't too long after Giga was discovered and described.

I thought the dinosaur was called ashatyrannus although it would be a fitting name as the dinosaur looks like it made out of ash.
What better for draw paleoart, digital draw or pencil draw? And how to learn draw dinosaur poses?
Whatever you're most comfortable working in is what's best. Basically digital or traditional both have their strengths but if you're fighting the medium then you'll have a hard time also learning extinct anatomy. Draw lots of living animals based on photographs and those skills transfer right over to extinct animals.
