  • Another commissioned pop-culture memory vs. reference dinosaur piece but this time it's the Browridge Sharptooth (apparently an Allosaurus but interestingly usually is shown with 2 fingers other than in animation errors) from The Land Before Time VI.
Speedpaint recorded in Procreate for iPad.
I've really been enjoying drawing these pop-culture dinosaurs (and other movie monsters) that I've been sketching lately. I hope you all enjoy them too!

A lot of people who watched the 6 land before time movie aren’t going realize it, but Saurus Rock monolith is actually OUTSIDE of the Great Valley and in the Mysterious Beyond. Even though the story of Saurus Rock was referred to being in the “Great Valley” by the kids, it actually isn’t in the Great Valley it’s actually outside. The characters in the movie had to climb over a mountain wall to get to Saurus Rock and let’s remember that the Great Valley is “Sharptooth free”. And given that Cera’s dad sounded so horrified and surprised when he heard that twins went to Saurus Rock, its safe to say that it was forbidden and off limits to the children. So that explains why there is Sharpteeth like the Allosaurus residing in the redwoods next to Saurus rock, as its not in the Great Valley, and there is no leaf eaters seen or present in the area.

I am so sorry I confused with my commission request, I tried to send several responses trying to explain it better, and I am sorry if I was rude, please forgive me.
