MIL was going to off herself one way or the other, living in that house is what made her heart so weak. OP Should better consider that he was going to be sending her to a safer environment however it happened, but the MIL chose to spike her own heart by physically attacking her daughter. The Daughter? Ex-wife rather, was a child of a hoarder. That in and of itself is a mental disorder, riddled with trauma and abuse. She should have taken the lead her father set and ran far and fast from that woman.
I like these kinds of reddit videos instead. Instead of 1 or 2 long posts, its several short updates. It shows the "play by play" process of the stories. Almost feels like I'm at the front row seats in a way.
I could not imagine someone that age wanting to be "pampered" because they're "old" as of writing this I am 20, and my mom is 59. She works 50 hours per week. If she spoke like this to anyone I'd never speak to her again
This was an absolute ride and man, ex-wife sounds like a real life soap opera villainess. But I can't help feeling a tiny bit sorry for her, she was sadly molded into a clone of her already psychotic, narcissistic mother who truly believed she could get anything she wanted just for having that ring on her finger. Thankfully OP got out of that marriage scot free and, most importantly, he got his keys back.
tbh it's such a sad story for both parties involved, even if Wifey was a horrible person you can see where it came from and just hope she takes advantage of the opportunity to start afresh
While I am def on OP's side (and his wife siding with her mom who is stupid and financially abusive)... Idk how I feel with the whole "she's a gold digger" thing... like she makes her own money and he even said she makes around the same as him so he's expecting a clean split. Where does gold digging come in?? Is this one of those man things that I don't understand? Like I don't doubt he has savings since he can afford a lawyer and I do think he's in the right, but ugh I hate when they pull the gold digger stuff out of their ass. It's like calling someone a motherfucker. It's used so much it means nothing.
Hate to say this my guy, but you could have saved her mothers life if it had been known the mother's house had black mold, rodent droppings and other health hazards. People with heart issues should not be living in places with mold and other things that can cause the issue to deteriorate more. But in the end, the mother-in law only had herself to blame.
The cop is either a rookie or dim. Any cop knows domestic violence calls are one of the riskiest ones they'll ever go to. Those calls don't just end when the cops leave
SEVEN UPDATES?!!! scaling stories needs an oscar
This is a classic. I remember watching videos less than 30 mins, so it means... MORE UPDATES🥰
Same here
She is lucky to live as long as she had considering her living conditions

And let’s all remember to say thank you scalingstories ❤
Story was so long I forgot we were talking about keys in the beginning lol
WE HAVE NO FAMILY damn that hit somehow
When no one comes to your funeral even when you know a lot of people, that speaks volumes for the kind of person you were

It's good that the ex realized how toxic things were with her mom and that she's starting to deal with that without pulling OP into her mess.
I am genuinely in love with you, ScalingStories
I really hope he's doing better and also doing regular therapy
I wouldn’t be surprised if OP’s ex tries to take her own life and leaves a note blaming OP for everything.
OH MY!!!! Longer than I expected!
She will be fine as her mom has exactly enough room to fit her in too.
