Within 21 minutes, you answered every objection very well. The day doesn't matter; but if the day doesn't matter, why change it? God said of Jesus, "This is my beloved son. Hear him!!" Mark 9:7. And Jesus was obedient to and continued the "Saturday" tradition as you pointed out so well. Christians know very well it is the Sabbath day. Ask anyone about Easter. Who are we, then -- who am I to even think to change times and law?
Deut. 5:29, "Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and ALWAYS KEEP ALL MY commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever!" God said MY COMMANDMENTS not our ideas however good intentioned we might be in offering them. The greatest commandment is a rebuke against our intransigence.

I dont find Forerunner777 to be very helpful in (implicitly) representing SDAs. He tends to use very outdated, inaccurate arguments, like "Constantine the day of worship from Sabbath to Sunday."

You know I watched a video of Myles talking about Sola scriptura .....he said Adventists do not understand the term ....according to him he said it doesn't mean “ scripture alone" as in only the scriptures but it means scripture as the only infallible guide for the Church and all traditions can be fallible but not that we don't accept traditions ....and I was like okay
So how do we test if the traditions are fallible?
So the tradition of infant baptism , purgatory, indulgences are fallible but the adoption of a new day of worship which is not biblical is infallible ....how did you they know that those other doctrines are wrong?
It was through the scriptures but when they come to the Sabbath ...they don't want to use scriptures

Most of the traditional Protestants like Lutherans and Presbyterians are what Dr. John Peckham calls "pseudo Sola Scriptura" in that they are "Scripture + tradition" where they place too much credibility on tradition.
Most Adventists, on the other hand go to the other extreme and completely ignore tradition.
      We should NOT do that.
We should hold Scripture as our ONLY rule and source of doctrine and faith, but we should at least be historically informed.
We should be historically informed so we know not only everything that tradition got wrong, but also what it got right.
The early, post Apostolic church wasn't wrong about everything, for goodness' sake.
Again, Scripture is still our only source and rule for doctrine and faith, of course.

@@ThePreparedAdventist of course studying the history of the church is nice and knowing the good things about it ....

      @@edafematthew8406 Here're some SDA traditions purely made-up:
      1. On the sabbath days:
      a. divine hour at midday (?),
      b. youth program in the late afternoon (??),
      c. social activity at sundown (???)
      2. Wednesday night prayer meetings (vs God's open sanctuary where anyone sat/knelt in quiet contemplation at any time of the day, any day)
      3. Sunday night evangelistic meetings (now fallen largely out of favor)
      4. men wearing suit and tie, and growing beard and moustache (vs Jesus' tunic and trousers)
      5. conference-wide convocations of men, women and children once a year (vs. God's plan of 3 times a year of men only)
      6. etc.
. . . many others too numerous to mention, but I'm sure you get the idea.

Sabbath doesn’t pertain to only Saturday.. you could hold it at any day.. as long as it’s a day weekly. I will tell you, here in Australia we’re a day ahead in America. If I hold Sabbath here on Saturday, it’s only Friday in America.. that’s why it doesn’t make sense!

If you hold Sabbath in Australia on it's normal hours sunset Friday to sunset Saturday, then you kept the Sabbath. What does Australia in your local context have anything to do with the U.S.? It has nothing to do with the Sabbath, keep it according the time zone you're in. Don't complicate something simple.

  • @BEvans7

Keeping the sabbath is a simple matter to me. The whole bible is asking us to obey God to have the Character of Christ, christ kept the law of God and tells us to keep the law of God which includes the 4th. Bible says if you break one you are guilty of all. Simple, if you claim to know God then you will Keep His commandments, if you claim to know God and do not keep His commandments you are a liar and the truth is not in you according to the bible.

Here is Christ Instruction to keep the law until Heaven and Earth Pass Away:
      Matthew 5:17-20
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
      fulfill /foo͝l-fĭl′/
      transitive verb
To bring into actuality; effect or make real.
"fulfilled their promises; fulfilled her dream."
To do, perform, or obey (a task or order, for example); carry out.
To meet (a requirement or condition); satisfy. synonym: satisfy.
      Similar: satisfy
Christ kept the law he satisfied the law he Fulfilled it.
Another example of Christ preaching on the Sabbath day (Keeping the 4th commandment)
      Luke 4:
16 He(Jesus) went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, 17 and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:
the Bible says this about breaking the law of God which is the Whole law: If you break one of the 10 then you are guilty of breaking them all. If you don't keep the 4th you have broken the law of God and are guilty of sin. Sin the states is the transgression of God's law. Scripture below:
      James 2:10
      Good News Translation
Whoever breaks one commandment is guilty of breaking them all.
      1 John 3:4
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
So if you break any commandment you are sinning according to the Bible. This includes the 4th commandment. There is no scripture telling us to break the law of God of which the 4th is a part. If you break the 4th you have broken all.
Here is a scripture that say if you claim to know God and do not keep His commandments you are a liar and the truth is not in you.
      1 John 2:
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
I can provide dozens of scripture telling us to keep the law of God. How can you say you love God if you do not obey Him? While we are not saved by the law we keep it because we love God and others. The first four commandments deal with loving God and the last six deal with loving our neighbor. Christ said we are to love God with all of our heart and our neighbor as ourselves this fulfill the law of God, by loving him and others we too fulfill the law by the power of Christ and not of our own strength.

You're attempting to twist scripture, His feast days are called holy convocations too and are about coming together for worship. You can't separate the sabbath from the feast days, they serve the same purpose and none of those days were done away with. And you leave out so much about Constantine, like how he banned people from keeping the feast days and replaced them with Christmas, Easter ETC. We can't pick and choose what we want and don't want to keep. The Sabbath is his sabbath and his feast days are his too. They are all ordinances to be kept.

Sabbath day of creation outlined in rhe 10 commandments is completely different from the sabbaths mentioned during the ceromonial laws.. they are clearly described in purpose. One to remember God in creation and the other is part of ceremonies to point to Christ eventual sacrifice.

The Bible makes a very clear distinction between the 7th day sabbath and the feast days here in leviticus with the word "besides"
      ‭‭Leviticus 23:37-38 KJV‬‬
[37] These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day: [38] 🔥➡️beside⬅️🔥 the sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD.
