I just picked up my 2012 S60 T6 Friday morning. I absolutely love it, I have the backup camera, adaptive cruise control, brown leather and black paint. Car came with aftermarket wheels and I think it’s been lowered, I want the factory wheels and the ride height adjusted to factor but I absolutely love it. I think it’s a better looking car in silver.
I have the same S60, same color and trim level. I am absolutely in love with it. I do have the blis system and sometimes it’s more annoying than its worth. Although, I do love the power folding mirrors that come with the blis upgrade. If you still have this vehicle, I hope you still love it as much as you did when your first got it. Great car!
Jakeman21642 Hey bozo, imagine running a RUclips channel with 44k (questionably deserved) subs and STILL finding time in your day to antagonize a loyal viewer, smh. I got an AdBlocker specifically for this channel.
Hey Jake, great video. I have the same car that you used to have (2004 Honda Accord). It was a good car for a while, but it has become a money pit as well. Congrats on the new ride
great video Jakeman. I too love Volvo and i am a panelbeater by trade so get to work and understand the whole build quality aspect compared to most vehicles old and new. The Volvo build quality is immense, although i am only talking body wise- i am not a mechanic. imo Volvo is equal to Audi or maybe fractionally behind; i don't rate bmw, mercedes or most other euro( most French is pure junk) Toyota- variable, weak but generally good. Subaru was generally very good and my favourite Japper, on the whole excellent quality and only spoilt by home handymen upping the boost and generally fkg the manufacturer's build with amateur stuff like that. I've just bought a 50k mile 2011 S60 T6 with Polestar upgrade and it is a masterpiece, i do love inline sixes, though this is transverse as you prob'ly know haha. The 5 is truly wonderful and i have had a couple, love the sound, but horsepower and torque with durability walk this walk. I just need to improve the exhaust note a tad- way too subdued- it'd be nice to decat and through-pipe it but prob'ly not a sensible option in today's pc world...i need some expert advice here haha. I do think the '11 T6 is the cream of Volvo's crop, it's an absolute blast although not with quite the same level of clever refinement as my old (10 yrs ago) 08 S80 3.2. I have all the bumf- BLIS, adaptive croon control blah blah blah and although ultimately redundant, if you can actually drive, it just tells me the previous owner was a softcock with loads of money and i got his pampered(every dealer service stamp) cast-off for a pittance- well, thank you brother, can i have another. As i say, imho, it truly is a vehicular masterpiece-chic, well appointed and 6 cylinderly responsive and quick..very quick
My Volvo S80 insurance would only be about $60 per month, how much is a 5 year old S60 T6 generally over there? You must pay through the nose:( Not that it even looks this age, it’s like a new car. We have identical in the V60 which is a T4, plenty of power. They all come standard in UK with reverse sensors. There’s a cool matching chrome strip for the lower centre grille that came with the V60 plug in hybrid, that and a piano black grille respray over the dull grey grille really livened ours up. The mud flaps are a must too. Cool inline six made in Wales, UK Volvo engine design put together in Great Britain.
Brakes were cooked, tires were at about 40%, shot motor mounts among other little things any 15 year old car would need. Final straw was the car basically becoming impossible to shift/drive smoothly once it was at operating temperature. 166k so I just didn't see any of that being worth it to me.
I'm looking at a used AMG 63, 10-15k for a 2008 model if I do well financially. It gets similar numbers to the SRT 392 Chrysler products. Right now I have a manual 4cyl and it's pretty fun but loses juice after 60mph. Another interesting car I may get is a 300c with the 5.7, 3k for a used one.
I plan on buying one of these. This car seems wider than the others in it's class is that true in terms of interior volume? Also will this be more reliable than a 13 VW CC? I'm deciding between the two.
Check one out in person and really decide that yourself but I can say that I am not a small person by any means and I don't find the interior of this car claustrophobic at all. Also all around for the same amount of money this car is insanely nicer than a CC and definitely more reliable with a better CPO warranty available.
United solar on west broad street! Not only are they pretty much cheaper than every place around here but they've tinted 4 of my cars now and they all came out amazing.
I have a 2005 Honda Accord v6 and am looking at getting a new car. How had the reliability been? I’m looking at the s60 and XC60, but am concerned about high maintenance cost and how they hold up at high miles
Good choice, man!!! I *might* be in the market for an S60, considering they're affordable on the used market, having found a '14 for under $13k. Keep us updated on the car, because I'd love to hear your ownership experience before I make the move to purchase one! :)
That’s a really nice car but I hope you realize how expensive maintenance costs will be since things are more complicated than necessary and not Japanese
Henry Pacheco ours have been maintenance free. In year two and only an oil changes. I have owned 6 Volvo’s and mainrainanve May be SLIGHTLY MORE, but they have had about 1/2 the issues of other friends cars...
Great review, does your model not have the “Sport” mode when shifting into manual with out moving the leaver... An easy fix, I put this in both our Volvo’s... www.ipdusa.com/products/8081/115209-sunglasses-holder-c30-v70-s60 There are many places online you can get it... My dash cam went into the rear outlet, that way we can still shut the cup holder lid
Yeah I sold this thing for a Mercedes like two years ago at this point but it was flawless. First car I’ve ever owned with a warranty and I beat the living shit out of it. This thing never skipped a beat in the 50k of hell I ended up putting on it lmao.
My family is wealthy, we classify as the one percent. My mom daily drives a fully loaded new Volkswagen Passat. I have a 2015 Volvo S60 Polestar as my daily, and a 2013 Audi R8 5.2 for my weekend car. My dad daily drives a 2016 fully loaded GMC Sierra 2500, he owns a beautiful 1963 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud with a two tone maroon on grey paint job. He uses his 2016 Ghost when on important meetings, and a Ferrari 458 Speciale for fun. My brother daily drives a 2018 Honda Accord Sport with the manual transmission, he owns a 2017 Aston Martin DB11. My family owns several businesses and has made some smart investments, for those of you who are curious as to what we do. My family also owns very nice estates around the world, and we rent them out when we aren't using them.
I like the S60s but I prefer them with the 5 cylinder. Love the way they sound.
I have one. I did a review of mine on my channel and a acceleration test. my first European car.. loveit

I have a 2005 Honda Accord v6 and am looking at getting a new car. How had the reliability been? I’m looking at the s60 and XC60, but am concerned about high maintenance cost and how they hold up at high miles

@@Jakeman21642 Thank you Jakeman.
How many miles were on the accord
It was pretty much right at 166k.
You live in Richmond va?
Great car, I'm going to see the same car in a few days to buy used, a 2013 same colors and look. I hope all goes well.
nice 2012 Volvo S60 T6 AWD
If you don't mind me asking, how long have you had the accord for?
CHARLES OGELE 3 years in February.
Jakeman21642 can you please if you find one do a tour of a 1991 Ford Aerostar Eddie Bauer?
@1:27 is that Doug? 😂 @dougdemuro
Do you leave your lights on?
Luke Hall They shut off automatically when the car shuts off. On our 2015 Ford Escape you can leave the headlights on, and just get out of the car.
Get a T6 R-Deaign

23 minute ver view without a test drive...
Hey Kid, if you "love the T5" with its rattlebox engine you really don't deserve an S60 T6!
Rich people don't drive Volvos.
Because poor people buy $50-80,000 XC90's and S90's? Most of the brand new cars they sell start in the upper 40k range.
Jakeman21642 i hope u got a decent apr
Jakeman21642 great upgrade tho
