    Tip: As many apps use rounded image as profile/avatar, it's a good practice to prepare the logo inside the document in a way that the logo doesn't overflow the "circle boundary", so it's much easier for the user to upload their logo to social media without having to crop or manipulate the exported PNGs.

      sizing does not matter if you rasterize the logo. rasterization allows you to enlarge or shrink to logo without it distorting.

    Great video once again, thank you! I have a question though - what size do you use for the actual logo? Do you base it off the specific artboard size, is there a standard rule for what size the logos should be? Or standard artboard size for the logo?

    • @SatoriGraphics
      @SatoriGraphics  2 года назад +3

      the actual logo size doesn't matter so much. It matters when you export as you should export various sizes to the client for web use. But I typically design a logo on something like 1,000x1,000 pixels

      rgb for web, cmyk and Pantone for print. Plus black and white versions. The logo will be used across many areas of the business, so provide different file types and color formats.

      Hope this helps, it's a super quick version of stuff I've picked up over the years. Please double-check with some googling!
      Ok so..
      CMYK stands for Cyan Magenta Yellow and blacK, which is the standard for printing. Use CMYK for files to be printed.
      This is the standard colour wheel we were all taught in school - red (magenta), yellow and blue (cyan) as the primaries, etc. This is true for layers of pigments combined to create colours. Traditional painting uses the CMYK colour wheel.
      RBG stands for Red Green and Blue, which are the three types of light that our eyes are evolved to see. (fun fact, our Sun is a "yellow" star but actually most of the light it emits is in the greenish-blue wavelength. weird!)
      All images on a screen are produced with a combination of these colours. Use the RGB colour mode for files that will be on screens. Digital painting typically uses the RGB colour wheel.
      (although modern printers will have little trouble switching between the two, so really, don't worry too much about it!)
