Winter I did it! I re-installed SC2 played one game against a super easy AI, remembered exactly how much crushing anxiety this game gives me. I beat the AI easily thanks to watching you and I immediately Uninstalled the game. See you in another year! 🎉
My advice is re-install and learn to get over your fears. If a video game against an AI gives you anxiety i don’t know how you manage to work a job that feeds you or go to school.

Anyway, in bronze and silver there are different mechanics and in gold and plat they are more advanced. For e.g in the Protoss Low APM challenge he starts with stalker-colosi, but with higher ranks he starts making better army compositions. He actually tries to tech-up while climbing the ladder. I didn't notice what you are showing us, but if you watch the platinum (actually it was so funny... he was promoted to... bronze :)) lol), he starts with 2 hatches. The time gap between the 2nd hatch and the spawning pool is so small, so that a few seconds after the 2nd hatch you go for pool. You can even say that you build them at the same time. The point of "no spool first" is that many zergs stay committed to those zerglings and try to all-in so many times. Just a thought... Glhf

First game was rough, 30 minutes vs gold zerg but I starved him and remembered what you said about playing PvT vs hydras. Second game was a free win. Third game I lost to plat zerg. Couldn't handle speed lings. :) Fourth game lost to a cannon rush :) Fifth game I had a mirror match up (PvP) but guy dc'ed in 7th minute. Guess what rank I got? Platinum 3. 2845 MMR. LoL My highest (back 7 years) was gold. GL HF

I can't believe I started playing this game less than a week ago and I'm already baffled by the 1st protoss build order. Why would you ever delay cyber core to build the forge? You don't even have the economy to build the upgrades without getting really far behind by wasting gas and minerals. Is this for the cannons? Why not build the shield battery instead?

Been playing SC since it came out (was 7 & cheating), have gotten good at my macro and know my counters< balancing when to cut probe production and using my production buildings mid game is my biggest weakness... can drop $15 for analysis

Your macro isn't good - if it was you would be at least top Diamond. I guarantee you Winter will say " the build is bad"... correcting this and understanding what you're scouting is much more important than unit counters at your level. If you want upload a replay to drop dot sc and I'll take a look (4500MMR).
I'm always scared to make marines against Zerg... So many ways to get massacred... Banelings... Early Roach.. ultras... Lurkers... Face melting infester... Broodlords.,. I have Been doing a better job of getting Marine upgrades though and it really makes a big difference.. even against stuff that normally beats them
Wish it was possible to get the genuine knowledge and such out of angry coach without the 6 hours of filler that go alongside it Yes I know it's not possible and that guides do exist elsewise, just a thought
Winter's racism toward protoss players is getting a little annoying. Hatch first should start at 0:51. Map size obviously matters, because it determines when your probe arrives at the enemy natural. And recognizing something out of the ordinary, and then reacting to it, is a good skill to have in starcraft. Being so condescending toward clark about this was really a turn off.
