- Here's an F1 onboard lap at the Bahrain circuit endurance layout which was used only once in Formula 1 for the 2010 F1 Bahrain Grand Prix. The 6.299 km long circuit drew criticism for its added corners, which offered little in the way of passing opportunities. By the next time they returned to the circuit in 2012, they had reverted to the original layout. Good riddance.
This Formula 1 hotlap is driven in Assetto Corsa with Fernando Alonso in the F1 2023 Aston Martin AMR23 car.

The endurance layout would be nice to hold the winter testing period! So teams can test cars overall but not let them know setup for race this week's gp..
That's why I loved testing on tracks like Jerez. Nowadays, teams have too much data of Catelunya and Bahrain...

I've come to realise I have to use a form of DAS to make my G29 work. If I pull it the opposite way from which I am gear shifting, then it kind of works, lol

I'd probably be more welcome to teams if there was just one right-hander at 0:39 instead of all the tight stuff. However, taking that detour will always slow down the entry into the midfield, so it kind of takes away some of the character of the sharp right-hand hairpin.
The lap time was 1:53.747 set by Fernando Alonso in a 2023 Aston Martin AMR23 Formula 1 car at the Bahrain International Circuit's 2010 endurance layout.
So Sebring is my all time favorite track. I love this layout. Lots of challenging corners with different speeds and then some high speed straights. Looks like a lot of fun for a driver. Great video thanks

Seems like this would be better for the WEC. I know they're trying to bring back a top level world TCR series, maybe they could use this or the outer/paddock layout. I just don't like the GP layout as much.
Is it just me or do I prefer the endurance layout more than the other adds more character to the track in my opinion

Can you do the Oasis layout?
Imagine this layout but with 4 drs zones. 3 DRS zones in a row. the overtakes would be crazy. But hard to keep up through the middle sector. With these new cars where you could follow closer this layout but with 4DRS zones would be fun to me.
Use the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben in Germany 1997 that was driven in Assetto Corsa with Sebastián Vettel Onboard by the Formula 1, but is for the Non-Championship Round.
Could we see a one off race with this track? Would be interesting with the new cars. Probably 0 overtakes tho 😂

This version didn't give anything to anyone. It made the track more boring. The short track, which was used 2020, was way better

It's mad how badly three corners can destroy not one but two good layouts. Where the Sakhir GP goes straight on, it was still a good track but this is just horrible to watch.
Sometimes I wish they kept using the Endurance layout lol why did they only do it in 2010?
@@mpg1755It wasn't a boring race. Vettel's technical Problems. A Ferrari 1-2. Hülkenberg and Chandhok crash. Kubica spin.
It was way too long, the lap times used to go over 2 minutes
I mean, its a nice layout, but a bit too long for a track like Sakhir.

This would be a setup nightmare in my opinion, I could barely control the car in the slow corners. Maybe I'm just bad tho 🤷

Not good for racing, maybe fun to do, but those corners are not ideal for racing
