As a sewer and quilter I love to dig around in any thrift store craft section. I've found several uncut vintage sewing patterns from the 30's and 40's, buttons and fabrics. They really are treasures to me.
Love that you found your cardinal!! A few years ago I saw a "Glenda the good witch" hat in the Easter section I knew it was a salt and pepper set and my mom LOVES and collects Wizard of OZ memorabilia ..anyways I bought it.. and held onto it...always searching for its counter part the "Wicked Witch" hat...which wouldn't you guess was in the Halloween section months later!!! It was a glorifying amazing thrift moment! My favorite to date haha
Omg that sewing machine box , i would have bought.. The rack at the begging is for silverware..I've seen meny of them sold at Kmarts , walmarts , and other places..tfs cant wait to see what you hauled..👍💛
That tall, fluted blue glass vase you found is very old. My mother had one similar to it, but her's is red/orange. She told me when I was growing up that it was very old and never to touch it. Although highly collectible, it's sentimental price is far above what it's retail price could ever be. This kind of glassware is something to be passed down in the family to recall the special memory of one who once cherished it. Glad you got the cardinal, I love them too. Wish you had looked at the wooden open cedar carved bible that had the illustration of Jesus on the right side... curious the price. Beautiful!
I love your videos. it is interesting to see things through someone elses eyes. You pick up things I would never think to look at, and sometimes you pass by stuff that I am going "please pick that up". I am looking forward to your haul video!
We received two bun warmers for wedding presents in June, 1973! We didn’t use them much, but we moved them five times! Sadly, our Goodwill does not have a year-round Christmas section. I love Christmas decorations.
I would have also loved that sewing machine box! Too cute! My goodwill is small and I don’t believe they have a place for crafts. I could be wrong of course!!!
My mother had a bun warmer in the 70’s. Hahaha. You just took me back to Thanksgivings of my childhood. It’s Holly Hobbie. My whole room was done in Holly Hobbie. Also the cubby tray I would use for storage, either sorting crafts or in the pantry for condiment bottles or baking goods.
That happy anniversary glass tray is probably 1960s - the french have a term for these called a vide poche, meaning empty pocket - a little tray to the stuff that's in your pocket on when you come home...keys, loose change, etc.
So glad you found the Cardinal. I've collected bird figurines for years and would like to share my favorite way to dust them. I use a 1" paint brush with long enough bristles to get into places to avoid the metal part. I also touch up chips on them with colored pencils.
Any time you serve Mexican food sour cream is a great accompaniment - a dolop on a taco, burrito, or tostada is great - especially if what you are serving might be very spicy- so yes, a bucket of sour cream would be on my table...that one is more of a party size, but having that name on it also is great for someone who might otherwise think it's whipped cream..
Oh my goodness!!!! There was a lot of GOOD stuff there! 🤩 Did ya see the spring blossom corelle? That white n gold mid century lamp to the left of the double globe one you pointed out!! The brass! The nice wooden items! I woulda been in heaven that day if I were you!! Wonder whatcha got?!?!
I just bought the same horse candle two weeks ago at GW for $4 ...I was thrilled I have horses and anything horse is always expensive would love to have another! In the Christmas those ceramic Christmas trees are popular right now!
I will definitely watch the haul to see if you heard me screaming, Lol. Soo many neat things there that day. Hope you got a kazillion things. Happy the cardinal can join his friends. Thank you for sharing.
youre makin me go back to one of our million thrift stores today in glendale/phoenix☺️we get soo much inspiration from “crazy lamp lady” too huh! she always says to stay away from most milk glass even in lamps😉
There are a lot of people who collect and love milk glass and it does sell still for me here locally. I haven’t tried online yet. But I will soon. Everything comes in waves of popularity. What one person doesn’t like doesn’t mean no one else can. Thanks for watching.
Now,that i did a video marathon watching your. Videos, I think I know your style. You seem to go for nature /natural items. You like Early American. Learning that you are in Main, helped me to understand, your buying choices. You are very young, that i figured from your questions. You do, have an eye for nice things but basically stick with traditional items. How is your reselling? Do you travel to different cities or states. It seems you stay mostly in Goodwill stores rather than other thrift stores. So,I figured ,you are more vintage than trendy. I do love, how you point out flaws in your items;although, you look for perfection. It seems, you rarely buy anything that you think you won't sell, yet your home has shelves of pyrex. You showed us your collection in the one video I saw of your buys. Keep up the good work in educating us. I would buy soo much from your stores , but you seem to be practical. God BLESS you and your family. Must get some sleep. I have done a marathon with you for several hours 🤗
1. I am so impressed with how you can pick up the items with your left hand a film at the same time! 2. That is a lot of Christmas stuff! and 3. The Bristol glass vase and Fenton vase, they were very pretty. You have great control not buying things that are so tempting...but not good resale items.
The buns taste a lot better when they are warm. Including the hamburger and hot dog buns.! Holly Hobbie love! Also the rack w roses on front to hang on wall w flowers or greenery. The W may have been a Military Signia for certain Careers in military. Ie flightline. The cubby box can use for mason jar glasses to serve ice tea or lemonade! Or silverware in each cubby hole.
I sometimes wish I could get into your video and pick things up :) I saw a couple interesting Christmas cups and I think I seen a green ceramic Christmas tree that I would have loved to see closer. I love your thrift shop. Where is it? And I also would love that craft section. I like our thrift shop but it is a lot smaller. Thanks for the videos
My girlfriend uses that type of cubby in her guest bathroom for towels. Toothpaste, new toothbrushes, floss, etc lotions, shampoo/conditioner, Pooparie for the toilet, etc. everything a guest could need if they forgot theirs Do you take into consideration the size of the object for shipping when you purchase especially odd shapes?
I need a sewing 📦 so I'd turn that cubby into that. Lol I was hoping that bun warmer u found was one. But oh well. They are expensive on etsy n ebay. Vintage sewing items in general r too. Great vid! Sue n ky
🎉hi from DENVER/DTC! Just found your channel and became a instant subscriber because....Thrifting in the hometown of STEPHEN KING, it doesn't get any better than that! I'm interested to see what's available around Halloween 😁
Wish he lives in DTC but I meant he lives in Bangor, Maine. He was hit by a van while walking there years ago and took a long time to recover. "It" was based in Derry, Maine. Since "The Stand' is being remade I'm hoping we might see some filming in Boulder soon, who knows?
I would have picked up that porcelain (I think it was porcelain) sewing machine that you picked up & put down...it was at the end of your video. It was painted darkish gray. I love sewing machine related home dec & art pieces. I have a cute metal sewing machine pencil sharpener and the needle & wheel actually move up & down and some sewing machine earring & bracelet. Fun!
I love the bun warmer and the glow in the dark flamingos ha! That is one reason I love thrifting! You never know what you are going to find :) Just out of curiosity are you going to be selling your seasonal birds? And if so, how much are they going for? Great Video!
My eyes need to stay on my kiddos, i really don’t have the time to look everything up while shopping. I like to go on my own instincts and experience. Every once in while I will check on something, usually dish ware patterns. There are just so many of them out there. Thanks for watching!
I do sometimes but I have my two toddlers with me and I’m filming so i can’t look up everything in my cart. I have decent hunches on most things and I don’t mind taking chances on some things. I usually just like to buy what I’m drawn too.
As a sewer and quilter I love to dig around in any thrift store craft section. I've found several uncut vintage sewing patterns from the 30's and 40's, buttons and fabrics. They really are treasures to me.
I would turn that cubby on it's side and use it for a shelf - good way to display a small collection using more vertical space 👍
Genius! 💕

I think that metal piece was a silverware holder. I had one similar, the silverware was different colors and had a ball on the end.
Yes we had one too used in our r v
I would have also loved that sewing machine box! Too cute!

Yay!! you found the cardinal! be still my thrifting heart lol
The cubie box. You could put mirrors in the back, hang it on the wall, and put figurines in it
We had a bun warmer just like that!
The silver thing is a silverware holder.
That happy anniversary glass tray is probably 1960s - the french have a term for these called a vide poche, meaning empty pocket - a little tray to the stuff that's in your pocket on when you come home...keys, loose change, etc.
That little sewing machine was so cool...your Goodwill is really nice.
Oh my your little one is adorable! ❤️ the hat
I have a cubby tray. We use it to put our ketch, mustard and mayo and other BBQ items for our outside cookouts.
I have a giraffe candle similar to the horse candle in my booth. It has been there over 3 months and not sold, but it is gorgeous!
Loved the crystal Santa sleigh and reindeer.
I envy your Goodwill...mine is horribly overpriced
So glad you found the Cardinal. I've collected bird figurines for years and would like to share my favorite way to dust them. I use a 1" paint brush with long enough bristles to get into places to avoid the metal part. I also touch up chips on them with colored pencils.
I just love that horse candle. I would never burn it either.
Thanks for showing all the snowmen. Wish there had been a vintage one. Love the cardinal. I would put crafting supplies in one of those cubby holders.
Love the channel. The blue china at about 2:42 is Dansk. Goes for a pretty penny on line! I would have grabbed all of that!
Loved the round floral tin, the pink Happy Anniversary tray, and that glow flamingo!
Love the sewing machine box!!
LOVE THAT CARDINAL.HAVE A BLESSED WEEKEND.

Was that a Fenton vase? I wish you we had a crafting section at our Goodwill! 💕
Maybe you could tell us more about what you are looking for, especially on the bottom of the glass and ceramics
That candlestick looks a little like military hump jump wings without the parachute
The buns taste a lot better when they are warm. Including the hamburger and hot dog buns.! Holly Hobbie love! Also the rack w roses on front to hang on wall w flowers or greenery. I want that sewing machine box!!!
Minnie is not old. I use my bins for my hairdryer and curling iron in the bathroom. They could be for utensils too.
Need that anniversary dish!!
I wish my goodwill had half of the beautiful items as yours does!
Interesting stuff. I hope you bought the light blue bristol vase. Great video.

🎉hi from DENVER/DTC! Just found your channel and became a instant subscriber because....Thrifting in the hometown of STEPHEN KING, it doesn't get any better than that! I'm interested to see what's available around Halloween 😁
Hehe thanks for subscribing! I tend to get a lot of clowns! I wonder if it’s because of Stephen I find so many 🤣
Wish he lives in DTC but I meant he lives in Bangor, Maine. He was hit by a van while walking there years ago and took a long time to recover. "It" was based in Derry, Maine. Since "The Stand' is being remade I'm hoping we might see some filming in Boulder soon, who knows?
I wonder if the blue stone on the brass vase was turquoise? Might have been worth a closer look.
And oh yeah, love that bucket of sour cream !!!!
That silver stand is not a necklace holder but a silverware holder. The silverware have plastic handles.
wood tray would go home with me and puffin mug
I would have picked up that porcelain (I think it was porcelain) sewing machine that you picked up & put down...it was at the end of your video. It was painted darkish gray. I'm in So. Cal., I very rarely need my buns warmed (lol)😉
🤣
I like that simple 'Vacay.' mug. I can relate to it since I always want to be on vacation. Haha XD
Most of the Christmas I find I end up keeping... it's hard to part with vintage Christmas!
Same with me, Renee! I seem to be able to let snowmen go but everything else I battle lol
I like Western and wood frames, a bit. Guess reminiscent of eagle...
I love the bun warmer and the glow in the dark flamingos ha! That is one reason I love thrifting! You never know what you are going to find :) Just out of curiosity are you going to be selling your seasonal birds? And if so, how much are they going for? Great Video!
Loved the horse candle!!! 😍
I believe the caddy was to hang flatware for table when entertaining.
Oh okay! Thanks! I’ve never seen one! 🤣
Oh my gosh!! I need those skeleton flamingos.
The sour cream had flowers in it at one time.
only because you asked what we thought-that milkglass lamp was hideous
🤣
The base was definitely ugly but I liked the way the spheres looked. 🤷🏻♀️
Is the blue hobnail vase Fenton?
Some of those double globe lamps go for a lot on ebay.
What kind of device are you using to record your footage?
“They warmed their buns!” 😂 the candleholder looked a bit like jump wings, but not. 🤷🏻♀️ I’d be interested to know what it is too!
Maybe tell us a little bit about the vase?
Check back in my haul video later today. I talk about it a bit more. 😊
@@NestingHaven Okay, thank you!
