So much in a message and played over some really simple chords. One of the most influential people in the second half of the 20th Century, period! Every songwriter from Cash, Lennon, Buffet, Simon, Petty, and too many others to mention have listed Bob Dylan as a master songsmith. Dylan simply understood how to craft songs on many levels, to the extent that they can be interpreted differently by everyone in the room and no one's incorrect. Yeah, a greatly talented musician. Great video, 👍!
Just finished up your "Like a Rolling Stone" lesson and here you are with some more Bob Dylan. My dad played his music a lot when I was growing up. Guess Ill be learning this one too. Great video!
Thanks for this Marty, I am a new subscriber. I have messed with the guitar in the past but not touched it for a long time. I have just retired so I have more time now. Love your teaching style, this is a timeless song and I can play it now thanks to you. Just need to get these finger tips a bit harder lol. Thanks again.
Coool, Marty! I'm up to 4:13,. and I think I'm getting it! Finally, able to switch from e-m to a-m to d. while hardly looking (that's very hard for me!) But, I am getting the rhythm and the chords, and that's fantastic!
Oooh! I think this will be my first, full, song..., as difficult as it is for me to switch between the e minor and the a (minor? right? oyyy, I know the placement and I think it's a minor chord, as the a-major would all be on the 2nd fret.) I do like the walkdowns, and I am sure everybody will be very impressed, if I can do this at 3 months of trying guitar! This is a great lesson. You'll see me, here, a LOT.
could you plz do a tutorial on how to play the guitar solo on dont stop me now (i need to learn it for school) and your the best guitar channel out there
Would love some Rush! I greatly enjoyed that fly by night lesson as well as my band. Maybe Tom Sawyer? Or Red Barchetta? 2112? We are open to all! Please Marty, love your vids!
Talking of Dylan, it would be great if you could do a lesson on the Byrds version of Hey Mr Tambourine Man. The Byrds were heavily influenced by The Beatles. It shows too. 😁
Good stuff here! Hey Marty! Don't see anyway to put in a lesson request other than here and now, so requesting "Tennessee flat top box" lesson, thanks!
hi! I'm new to your channel, there's a lot of really awesome stuff here! i like how your tutorials are so easy to follow especially for beginners like myself. I was wondering if you would be able to do a tutorial for one of my favorite songs, 'Hey There Delilah'- Plain White T's. Thanks for everything you do!
Marty I believe that RUclips deleted your November Rain lesson. I was wondering if you could either re-upload it or start fresh. Thanks Marty for this lesson.
Marty I know it may not be highly requested and there’s not all that much there to teach but I’ve committed to learning all of the wall by Pink Floyd and I can’t find any lessons for the beginning of Another Brick In the Wall pt 1. If you could do that it would be amazing as I haven’t yet developed the war so I can’t just pick it up on my own yet.
Another great video Marty, thanks! Very different styles, but would you ever consider doing a lesson for either Frank Sinatra something stupid (with the cool intro) or American Girl by Tom Petty? Thanks again for all the great lessons.
Bob Dylan has some of the most powerful songs ever written, while being so simple with guitar playing. Awesome work indeed man!
"You sound like you think I wrote 'em... I just passed on the music, like all good folk players do."
-Bob Dylan
@@gabestew262 Bob was such a humble man I believe. That's how I always thought of him
@@RC32Smiths01 Are you currently dead? Why have you stopped thinking about him?
still fits today
Don't think twice, it's alright lesson next please and thanks for this great lesson!

I have to say, I love the sound of this Taylor
“Tonight, A Comedian Died In New York”
"Rorschach's Journal October 12th 1985"
watchmen is the shit my dudes
"Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the Comedian is the only thing that makes sense."
That’s my line.
"Lenny Bruce is dead."

Please do a lesson for let me die in my footsteps by bob Dylan 🙏♥️
I don't know why but I've always thought this should be the song that everyone learns first.
Totally agree! Can't go wrong with Dylan, and such a classic
So you think a beginner can shift between G, Em, and C smoothly? Are you listening to yourself lol
@@gremlin9870 As they are probably the 3 easiest chords changes, yes, if not give up.
@@michaelwood3099 Em to G is one of the easiest I guess. However for a beginner it would be hard to quickly change from any to any chord
Em to C is a little tricky to get used to
I would love a "masters of war" lesson from you :0
Love the sound of that guitar....
Thank you so much Marty you really are a wonderful teacher.
