One of the greatest songs of the 20th century.
The power these words had over an entire generation.
More than one generation really ✊💞
and a new generation who have so much to lose if we don’t change.
@@faelientrashvlogs1495 thats what i was gonna say..."and counting"
They still do! I think they are more urgent then ever.
Dave the true power in a poem is that it never loses its power or RELEVANCE.
The song itself is a masterpiece but this cover puts it into another dimension... Unbelievably good
Beautiful song by Bob Dylan.
My favourite.
Her cover is the best I ever heard!
Yes indeed😢❤
Not really, u must listen to shatty music, 😅😅😅
@jonizornes5286 I pray your being, sarcastic.
Please... tell me your being sarcastic 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Why does she always make me cry? Jesus, Brandi. Never stop, please
That commercial brought me here i had to hear the full song ..💯💯 For the times they are changing
Same here. Such a beautiful voice!
Me too 💯
Reniece Jones me too
Written by a Nobel laureate!
Covered very nicely. An almost worn through guitar means commitment. Nice!
Me the same
Brandi Carlile--I love you more than you'll ever know. My husband and I were at your open air concert in Boise the evening you came out and told us about your life. You are forever.
Lovely
Brandi's passion + Dylan's genius + perfect timing = MAGIC
10yrs ago I'd say that's a good song. Today it's everything.
Great job Brandi... we need to hear these songs more... the young kids don't see what is happening to us. oldster73 here.
Well done. One of the greatest songs ever written (In my opinion) and she did it more than justice.
One of the greatest songs ever
This song is my 2020 *Pandemic* anthem.
And mine.......and the world’s
TOTALLY
So true!
And MINE! xoxo
For me as well.....and all people
I don't know that I've ever seen a performance where the band is just all so energetic and into it and passionate. Just wow.
Brandi crushed it. I wept for the beauty of this simple anthem. Who would have thought it would take a worldwide pandemic to get us to change our dysfunctional world.
A few people saw it coming, though their words always fall on deaf ears it seems
Hmmm I kinda think we just got more dysfunctional, unfortunately
Lol, it’s not dysfunctional now? Men can get pregnant, democrats are the pro war party. No baby formula, highest inflation, gas and food through the roof.
Yeah, it’s just great. Thank god we elected a lying, career crook with dementia.
Things are alot more dysfunctional now thanks to bidens sky high inflation and 10 dollar a gallon gas
I first heard this song sung by both Bob Dylan and Peter, Paul and Mary, way back in the 60s. I must say this. Brandi Carlile's rendition here is beyond wonderful, she has not just sung a favourite song of my generation, she has sang, and bought up to date, what the people she is singing about today. Thing is, Her vocal nuances, Her subtle mix of voice, the language of her eyes, and much more, ..very pleasing.
Yes I agree. Outstanding 👏🏻🙏🏻
With all due respect to mr Dylan, this version is right up there with the best,
Mat Kramer it’s a good cover but u bumped ur head thinking she covered it as good as Dylan did it.
Tracy Chapman got me here and SHIT!! This ranks Mat.
dylan rolling thunder version is awesome
why? because it sounded like what you already know?
I have listened to her forever. WHY is she not a big star? but I would follow her anywhere. GREAT VOICE.
Brandi Carlile is so underrated!
Some people have said already said that this song was calling them. I really hope it rings in their ears for a long time.
Finally! Someone who takes a classic and makes it live again. Awesome Brandi!!
Brandi breathes new life into this so important, timeless song.
I get some real Joan Baez vibes. So gentle but so sincere and unflinching.
Terrific treatment of this classic - very passionate... Understandably, given how the world is now
I have loved this song since I first heard it in the 60's. It has been performed by many, but this is among my favorites. Brava, Brandi!
Your voice rings like a bell deep in my soul. This is the best version I have ever heard. Thank you.
RANDOMACTS58, WHAT A CRACKING WAY TO PUT IT. PEACE MY FRIEND. 🙏✌️😎🏴
Loved Brandi since 2008. And with her talent, she is just getting started. A true gift.
This needs to be played very loud outside the Houses of Power. You know where they are.
Outside my parents house?
have to disagree with an above comment about how proud bob dylan would be? hahaha.....fuckin musicians.......label added with all due disrespect.
I have such respect for this woman after watching the kindness and compassion she extended to Kris Kristofferson at the Joni Mitchell 75th birthday concert. Class act.
Best version of this i've ever heard.
My god, this is good.
Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you is worth savin'
And you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'
Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'
Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
The battle outside ragin'
Will soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'
Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agin'
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'
The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is rapidly fadin'
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'
this woman should be famous............god bless her.
Absolutely outstanding cover! 👍👍👍
So chilling and beautiful. What a great cover 👏
Good to see someone who understands the feeling, the impact of a song like this. The clothes, the flashy lights, the dancers - if they were there it would lessen the atmosphere. Great job.
I wish I could download the full version of the WGU commercial version. Every time it’s on tv it makes me stop and listen.
Yeah, that got me here.
The WGU version was done by Sonia Solorzano and it stops me in my tracks to appreciate it.
Powerful cover and yes the Times they are a- changin'
ty captain
Casey Crocker how long have you waited to say that pun
Casey Crocker the ad just reminded me what a powerful song this is, and worth listening to in full.
Truly powerful . I like when she sings with power. This song is not a lament. It is a call to action.❤
One of the first songs that I heard by Bob Dylan in the mid sixties. Thoroughly impressive then, proved timeless and supremely relevant over the generations. He has stamped his messages into me for fifty years and I remain pleased to have been one of his avid listeners.
I've been around a long long time. I was 7 at my first concert, it was in a park and the flower children loved me & I loved the music.
I am completely head over heels for you❗
I saw my first show at 5, been addicted ever since!
Never fails to move me to tears.
This is beautiful. I just feel so great.
Hope it does the same for everyone!
The commercial bring me her I thought it was a beautiful clip of this song and I was right geezzzzzz!!!!!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
tasha knowles it brings me too🌹
Well done Brandi each generation can sing this song, living it is a bit harder, for life is rarely easy. It requires patience intelligence and strength, and if you are lucky, you will live happily ever after every now an then, Peace yall.
What an incredible bellowing voice, very nice rendition.
I listen to this at least once a week (if I haven't already listened to it ten times in a row). How this masterpiece has fewer than 1M views is beyond me. It's inspired.
To everyone who fought and still fights for human rights. Thank you.
That is how to perform live!!
Amazing!
I also think her guitar is Willie Nelson worthy with it's battle scars!
A perfect cover of a great Dylan song. Brandi’s in tune in your face growl of this true protest song is priceless.
Brandi has the perfect voice for interpreting Dylan.
But can she play the Harmonica🤔
@@tuckman315 lol!
dear lord this is beautiful 😭
More on point every day. Wonderful rendition.
Another gem from a group of true artists!
These lyrics are still so relevant. Well done BCB!
This song makes me sad for some reason every time it comes on TV❤️😍🤷🏿♀️
Change is only scary if you let it scare you. It can be good and exciting. You wouldn’t want to eat the exact same thing for every meal, everyday, would you?
Love Freely Great response!
Same for me
Me too
Been looking for this song for the longest time...found it tonight...wow, no time better than the present
Came back to listen to this again. After this last week (4 years), it's good to know that Dylan was right. The struggle is never over, but we ever so slowly move forward.
Her voice is so beautiful!
Hi again. Thanks so much!!!
I heard the commercial and it stroked me - times are really a-changin. Bad news for those who wants to dwell in the past as they are being left behind. Embrace and adore life and humanity and live happily! That's who I'm striving to be!
The times have always been a-changing, it's just a matter of seeing how it is a-changing for the better and now dwelling on the bad a-changes
@@nigelgrolla2268 😹
A uni commercial brought me here. Good singing. Thank you.
WOW!!!! What an amazing voice, thank you, beautiful!!!!!!!!! xxxxx
Nobel Prize winning Bob Dylan brought me here. Brandi and Co. performance is BRILLIANT.
Great version Brandi. One of the best I've ever heard girl ❤️😊
Bob would be proud, you guys do this dynamic song justice!
Look at the beating that guitar has taken. What stories it could tell.
the most beautiful tribute a legend!! Bob Dylan should be proud!!
amazing cover. Powerful and gorgeous arrangements
The loser now will be later to win. "It is never too late to become who you always wanted to be," George Eliot. I became a pro artist and advanced figure skater in my 50s. Do it!
Thanks for the inspiration.
Such a beautiful, powerful cover
Amazing cover & how too well it speaks to our time now!!
My girls and I just love her we've seen her several times in Seattle. What a voice. Xxoo
She sings like sh¡t.
Thanks KEXP ❤️🎤🎼 Greetings from Mexico
Hi Mexico, can we be friends just in case I need to get out ? From NY
Thank you Bob Dylan, thank you Brandi Carlile. Your words bring me much solace in these days.
A beautiful version of one of my favourite Dylan songs. Nice dedication, too.
KEXP has exquisite taste. You guys have a great ear.
Bob Dylan would be proud. They kept it original and didn't mangle it like some other bands
Bob Dylan is shaking his head in shame that they took out the harmonica.
Bob Dylan is a fan of genre's so I doubt he'd frown on different renditions
I absolutely love bob Dylan but sometimes it's nice to hear it without that harmonica lmao

@@payton2872 Consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds. So is correct spelling, grammar, literacy....Yeeesh.
I will bnever get enough of this haunting melodic voice-destined to be a classic singer!
That voice gives me goose bumps
A perfect song for today. Thank you.
I've alwasy said this is the perfect song for Bernie's 2020!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, it is perfect!!! Bernie, 46th.
literally why I'm here. :) called to this song on the day of the Iowa Caucus
Bernardo Medrano yes! I agree! Today is 2/5/2020 and this song is as fresh as it was in 1965.
79 year old heart attack candidate for president. Just what we need.
Mr. Pete Channel is 75٪ away 2 the big time! Organizer in chief with a mass movement of young people ready to fight for big change, just what we need!
So good to hear Brandi singing this Dylan masterpiece. I recall marching in the streets of London UK in the sixties singing this same song. We thought we could stop atomic war and other destructions. Unfortunately the Masters of War are still very much in charge, but that doesn't mean our young ones have to give up. Seek out your true worth in the beauty of your souls by reaching out to others in need. I love this woman she sings truths.
Ah but he gave hope when he released this song and ur generation gave hope to the next generation by never giving up. The circle of life never stops so be glad u did ur part and kept it going. We only lost when we give up.
@Penelope S. Thanks Penelope S.... truth and beauty is all we need to know in this life so keep on going sister....
Worthy inheritor of the finest inspiration.
what a great voice!! AWESOME
This is a beautiful cover
so much YES to this sweet perfection.
Beautiful song, beautiful voice. Thanks Brandi.
Oh goodness me, Brandi brings me to tears often. Her voice has cut away flesh from the bone in my soul; it’s both pruning and refining. God bless her mighty gift.
This is a great performance by real talent. many thks.
Brandi makes this new again and ageless. Thanks
Love you KEXP thanks.
Lovely performance
Awesome job!
Just fell in love with that voice.
LOVE this cover ❤👍
Goosbumps. Very powerful.
Amazing cover!
best cover, congratulations
beautiful cover of a beautiful song
Jeez! She ripped this song to shreds! I was dumbstruck!
I havent heard that song sung with such passion.. since the 60s.
Seldom, in my opinion, has anyone recorded a Dylan song that's as good as the original (although I think The Byrds' "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" is better than Dylan's): this version of one of his best protest songs is, clearly, outf**kingstanding. I really, really thank these three performers for recording what they've done with it. This is how live music should feel.
She is an amazing talent
@@denniskane1870 Indeed.
The best is yet to come
