Thanks for the great info! Starting once I get get my truck. I sell books online and have a full time job looking to start another biz soon. Appreciate you . ❤️
Great video. Is it possible that you could explain catalysts in detail. If you don’t know what you’re looking at it makes for expensive mistakes for the novice car scrapper. When you said “wire material”. I don’t understand. Any help would be awesome.
Is there any parts we should scrap a certain way? For example starters, alternators and electric motors we all know about. I'm thinking more like tranfer cases and stuff that's aluminum?
I personally do not break them down this far but aluminum is always worth more. You could get into a lot we’ve considered keeping the wiring harness and burning the rubber off to keep the cooper also.
I wouldn’t completely agree with that but I will say this with the market value of cars on the rise it’s making it difficult to buy them for very cheap
i know it is too late but I will try to answer the question. Everyone has to understand their individual circumstances are different. What works for you may not work for me. Before buying any average car, see what the scrap price is in your area. Do you have a contact for the catalytic converter so you can maximize profit? If you are going to part out the scrap car, do you have the space to hold car or time t8 deal with potential customers? Finally, what is your time worth? Once you have done your own research, you can answer 95% of your own questions. Good luck.
@@3guysgarage could you please specify? in Phoenix Arizona you find nothing somewhere for 500 bucks and most likely is already parted out... no tires no catalytic converter no headlights
@@gutesgelingenwe even knock on doors if we see these cars sitting around and ask them if they would be interested in selling. That’s normally the best deals

What do you do about vehicles without titles? Scrapyards in my state wont take cars without proof of ownership
How do I google those that buy used batteries or catalytic converters? Who do I sell them to? How do I find them?
Autozone gives you a credit of $10

Do you need any license to do this? In my state you need a dismantlers license.
Not in my state you do not
How do yall find the cars?
Use social media as a tool not a time waster. Facebook Instagram should be how you reach your customers
