The mileage he suggested at the beginning of the video is for his 4th gen . For a 3rd gen i change it every 5000 or every year if I don’t hit the mileage. I am not changing any vehicle sooner than recommended by the manufacturer its a waste of

Yes and no . If you have an egt probe that wire would also have to go into the engine bay . The only wire I have there now is for the shift on the fly .

Grid heater is used for cold climates to help with starting . I live in a cold climate area and can’t tell the difference in starting .

Most LEDs should have built in resistors to prevent any error lights on the dash . My Jetta had cheap eBay ones

@@3guysgarage Today I installed a horn like yours, about $60, and grid delete plate, also about $60, both off Ebay. I commented because I was looking at other people's work before I started. I'm slow and it took ALL day; the injectors were difficult. Front four not too bad. I finally used an open end wrench, hose clamped to a 2' long metal bar 5/8" dia, and I was able to get the fifth injector nut loosened up, but #6 closest to firewall I left attached to the injector and just loosened the nut on the fuel rail. I'll test drive it tomorrow, started it today, pedal/engine seems a LOT more responsive. A couple years ago I did all the other deletes, and installed a limited edition SuperChips Race tuner. I installed a Banks Pedal Monster a couple weeks ago; a BLAST. My truck is an 06 Laramie 2wd, its limited slip differential helps a lot.

@@3guysgaragethe video helped me check the levels. I had a tranny flush done 3 years ago at the dealership when I had to take it in for a recall. I tried to use a 10mm Allen socket it wouldn’t fit right. I tried the t55 which fits nicely and able to get a bite. I tapped the plug lightly to shock it loose. When I drained the fluid initially, I measured 6 quarts. It was practically overfilled. I refilled with 5 quarts and drove around and checked the level, less than a quart came out through the level plug. It shifts smoothly.

Mine also still has occasional hard shifts . I think it’s just how they are . I don’t know if ford came out with software for them but I’ll change it one more time and then every 30k . It can shift hard til the end of time as long as it holds together
