This is literally like the Food Network of witchy cooking. Great video.
I light my candles with a match. I use a tweezer to burn the rest of the match that didn’t burn. I keep it in a little bottle. When I have enough, I use the burnt matches to make black salt
Oh my gods that is an amazing idea!! I also use mainly matchsticks and I always feel sad about having to throw so many away!! Now I can use them more in my craft!!!
uh wow! u commented this a year ago....but thank u! This is a great idea im starting to do right now. TY 👍
Wouldn't hardwood be better
@@timway6839There are matches made with wood.
Wow that's an idea I'm glad your hear to share thanks!
I keep & use ashes from our fireplace. The wood is harvested from the forest by my husband. He is the “keeper of the flame” here - his way of protecting & caring for the family. So in spite of every marriage’s ups & downs, this is one of his acts that always feels nurturing. I like the idea of using it for protection. I add dried rosemary that grows in our garden, ground eggshells from local free range chickens, & sea salt. I like to keep as local as possible. I love the idea of also adding in incense ashes and burnt matchsticks.
Thank you for sharing. I love how you call your husband the keeper of the flame. ❤
You can use fish tank activated charcoal so your fingers don’t get messy.
For many years I was the fire keeper for my spiritual community. When I made my black salt I collected one piece of charcoal from every ceremony that I tended the fire for a year and a day. I then blended the charcoal with a course sea salt.
wow that is an amazing wat to make it!
❤
This is how I make Black Salt

I just finished making black salt (keep in mind I’m still in the broom closet ) as I was grinding everything together it went EVERYWHERE!!! Everything was black! The floor, my altar, EVERYWHERE!! I laugh at it now but it was irritating and was scared because I didn’t want my grandmother to find out
The broom closet lol 🙂
It happened to me too and I'm in the same position as you are...
Next time just say you were doing art, charcoal pencils are a common drawing supply. You could even buy them and use them in your magic, and if anyone asks why you’ve got them- say you’re doing drawing :)
Same thing here. Didn't think the burning smell would be that bad and did it while my dad was out. But u can smell it! Currently trying to hide the smell in my room... He asked what the smell was, told him I burnt the tamales I heated up and keeping the room door close. Nervous af lol
@@savannahcaustrita8294 that is hilarious and awful at the same time, I once accidentally burned a crayon when I lit a candle it smelled so bad.
I bought a big jar of activated charcoal from the fish department at Wal-Mart
It's a lot easier than opening all those little capsules, just pay good attention while I have the lid off the jar
It would be a huge mess to clean up if I spilled any
I had no idea Walmart carried anything but the capsules. Tyvm! ❤
New subscriber thanks for sharing very informative I need to cleanse my energy and environment too many blockages enough is enough negative energy and evil eye needs to die forever ,I wish you abundance and prosperity may the universe b ss you God bless you
Thanks
Thank you lady for sharing many blessings to you
Ok that frankincense bottle is everything
Thank u for sharing u sweet witch blessings and light❤️😊☮️
I love this! I like to save all of my ashes, from incense and herbs to petitions and sigils that I burn in my cauldron, and use those as a base in my salt. I make a batch with herbs for protection, with intent for the black salt. I add salt, a pinch of graveyard dirt, and a pinch of egg shells. I also separately break up a few unburnt charcoal discs into my mortar and pestle and grind then into a powder. I do this both for the properties and so the salt will be black and not gray! If you add enough, it blackens right up. :)
Oooooooohhhh I LOVE that manicure!!!! Thank you for this video!!!
Great video! Very informative!
Goodness, so generous, and such a wonderful vibe, I am learning so much. Thank you!
Thank you 😊
The music is perfect...Witches should feel like detectives...Spiritual Detectives!
I came here from a previous video about how to make homemade Rice Krispies that requires black salt to puff up, now, I am afraid I need magical protection against evil.
😂
Lmao I hope you found a food safe black salt recipe. ❤
very interesting, never knew charcoal in itself is a cleanser... wow! I also add peganum seeds or dried leaves to my cleansing mix.. feels so healing in the aftermath!!!!
Oh Darling your energy is pristine, thank you for these videos. Learning is so much easier when taught by someone whose energy is smooth, calm and gentle, thank you x
I also make black salt like this but with a few different ingredients because I use my local herbs. Rue is a must. I have tons in my garden. I add dehydrated garlic as well if I am using it for cleansing. 💜 Thanks for the tips!
I like your recipe, but it's a little on the costly side for my budget. I make mine with dried orange peel, cinnamon, bay leaf, and fallen coniferous branches found around my city. I use pine resin in lieu of frankincense, as I'm broke. The smell is absolutely INTOXICATING as the spruce, pine, cedar and fir twigs/tips mingle with the warming spice scents.., well, let's just say it's DIVINE!
I'll have to try yours if I ever benefit from a windfall, as gems and imported resins are not in my current budget. Thanks for all the amazing content. I've been marathoning your candle series and would love to get more candle ideas from you, if possible? I'm a big fan and your brown, green, purple, white, black and grey candles especially. As a solitary eclectic witch and wand maker, I like to feel grounded, protected, purified, and capable of using the guidance of my ancestors as I whittle away at my stash... and before bed, I fill my room with the heady scent of chamomile and lavender
I like every detail with the herbs ; especially the intention piece of paper to burn on top of the salt !!!!
Those are some super cute bottles 👍❤💯🐈⬛🧙♀️🖤
I make some of the black salt and i put in some black pepper corn it really smell awesome pepper corn is also protection an few drops of sage anone red chilli in it oh boy so awesome it protects u
Thanks a lot for sharing this video 🙏❤️ in my country we heat salt together with herbs for a long time until it’s black. And we mix and cast spells while it’s heating. We don’t use charcoal, though I can see it’s a great idea! Thank you again 🥰
Thank you❤ I appreciate you!!
Frankincense's price is very cheap in India. I use them a lot in protection magic.😊
Love it makes me feel great to know that I’ve been doing it right natural 🧙🏾
I just came across this and really appreciate your time and guidance 🙏 😁👍 I'm just learning & still in the broom closet. Blessed be💜

When this is used does it make the glass on your 7 day candles black? I didn't burn the charcoal. I made it and used it.

Thank you so much-needed
Hello, Ive seen people use the ashes from their incense to make black salt. So is it ok if I make black salt with incense ashes instead of charcoal? Thanks, loved the video!
Its very much ok! It doesnt need to be dark black to do the same thing.i dont know about you but i personally have a fire pit outside my family uses and i take the leftover burned wood from there thats black and keep it for my black salt.
It is absolutely okay! Black salt doesn't have to be black. It's just prettier if it is. What I like to do to make it darker, is I'll break up an unburnt charcoal tablet in my mortar and pestle, and ground it into a powder. Add that to your incense ashes if you want it blacker, then you get the properties of the charcoal too. If you don't want that mess, it's totally cool!
I find not burning my charcoal disk works better for me. Or I break up a charcoal piece used for bbq's. I liked watching your video to see what you use. Thank yiu for taking your time to make this. Have a blessed day!
I enjoy your videos and appreciate your knowledge in the crafts 😊

Thank you for sharing your ideas , you clearly explained it . I loved it so much 🌈🌠⭐🌺💕
if it rains it goes off???? i will scatter it around my property but it rains. i did rock salt before but rain wash it off. than i tried black salt for making them go away it didn't work. i will try this again for protection and i will make some necklace for my dogs? i'll try it to blow to some neighbors but it's hard to get near their homes.
This is both beautiful and informative! Thank you!

13:13
I know black salt absorbs negative energies, but can I store it for later use in a bottle? Or will it still absorb too much negative energy
hey heads up those instant-light charcoal disks are full of chemical accelerants and heavy metals and should be lit in a well ventilated area and held far away from your face. Also if any of y'all are using those things for your hookah sessions, stop. I know they are convenient but might as well be smoking cigarettes dipped in kerosene and lead paint.
Thankyou thankyou thankyou
I just grind an unburned charcoal briquette to my salt instead of the capsules
So crazy I literally have everything 🧿🧿🎱🎱🧚🏾♂️🧚🏾♂️
Ty for sharing this 💓 blessed be
When is the best moon phase for protection magick?
I add anything black. Poppy seeds, black pepper, blessing seeds, cloves.....
I love your video............
Hello can you show us how to make powders plz
Rue i need to buy i have rose Mary. Ohh need mugwort

Can you use ashes from any incense, or only incense burned in appreciation and praise, but not petitioning? How long did you let the crystals rest in the salt before taking them out? I'm thinking it should be a while, maybe overnight.
Can you use charcoal from charcoal pencils? I have a bunch of them
Yep. :)
Beautiful! 🖤
Excellent.... ❤️
