      Je leurs en ai envoyé .... i also am unsure about using leurs/leurs in DOP-IOP context :( do they change pluriality or stay the same ignoring the sujet's number?

      I am so sorry I didn't see your reply for some reasons!
      So leur before a verb is always singular.
      It would take a S in front of a noun so when translated to THEIR
      I will make a video about that in the next few months :)

    Dylane I am posing to appreciate your good teaching skills. When I am looking for something and I realize you don't have a lesson for it, that's such a disappointment.
    You make it easier to understand. Although french has so many tricks and turns, you make the journey easier.

    After learning several languages such as Turkish, Arabic, ancient Hebrew, and a few others, and with Ukrainian and Russian as my mother tongues, I am learning French now and I am surprised by its level of complexity. I thought Russian and Koine Greek were the hardest but this is just something unbelievable. It is so complicated. Thank you for explaining. I hope I’ll manage to master it one day.😓

    I started to learn French after I bought a ruin in SW France years ago, the position of the y and en has always been problematic. This is the clearest explanation I’ve found .

    About three-quarters of the way through the video, Dylane explains when to use "la" etc. instead of "en." That part of the video, though short, is very helpful.

      Sometimes you understand the rule but it takes time to use it naturally, don't give up but don't focus too much on it either. It will come ;)

      Answering in case someone else has the same question :)
      Y always goes before the auxiliary and the verb. In case of two verbs following each other (but not a compound tense), y will be placed before the second verb :)

    taking a deep breath and filling up my coffee mug now to watch this . . . in theory not a hard topic and maybe 2/3rds of the time I don't have a problem, but sometimes I see y or en and think "why," as there is no obvious indicator! ok, allons-y. ¡Vamos allá!

      I think it's the abstract things with y that were confusing me: je m'y intéresse (à la peinture), because it's not a place, just goes with the à. Je comprends mieux maintenant!

      Yes you can say : Est-ce que tu en as ?
      But only if you are already talking about eggs in the conversation 🙂

    10:26 "J'ai seulement de l'eau" I believe de usually means of or from and when its placed in front of a noun it means some, so why is de used to say I only have water?

      Sometimes translation don't match perfectly 😉 I have never heard "I only have some water" but maybe I am wrong
