It gives me chills. I can't wait for this album to come out! Although the previous album I enjoyed, this, this brings me back to when I first started listen. I'm eagerly awaiting :)
I just cant stop listening to Kamelot. For the last 2-3 years, my Kamelot-only playlist has been running for atleast a few hours, every day. I flipping cry myself through every song when I see them live, and I just friggen cant bloody wait to listen to this record. Long live Khan! Long live Tommy! Long live Kamelot!!!
The first song released from an album is generally done so as a preview for the overall tone of the album as a whole. If that's the case here, then I cannot wait for this album to drop. No seriously, I can't wait. Give it to me now.
i still remember the first time i listened to this song.... the shiver up my spine as the high notes rang out in that amazing melody. the lyrics began and my heart jumped. what i got out of this was a cry of both sadness and determination to be happy again. to be whole to regain a level of spiritual completeness. this song still one of my favorites, especially in the ever growing musical market. more than a year afterward, this song is one of the best i have ever come across
Kamelot is the most beautiful melody in the universe. I love you now and forever KAMELOT and your music, and your souls.Beautiful lyrics. You inspire me endlessly
Hear my promise of blistering light Sowing the rose of obsidian My dear I promise Death comes to all In a heartbeat only silence Let's play with the fire that runs in our veins Trust in the might of a miracle Now winter has come a And I'll stand in the snow I don't feel the cold And it's all that I will ever need to believe One day I know We will meet again In the shade of a life to die for Watching the world Through the eyes of a child In elysium Will I know you then? (Will I know you then?) Now bring down your fortress And swallow your pride Don't break in your moments of ignorance Existence will capture a spark of life Just a fragment But it's all that I will ever need to revive One day I know We will meet again In the shade of a life to die for Watching the world Through the eyes of a child In elysium Will I find you there in that darkness Of the shadow that comes over all Dear friend will I know you then Will I know you then at all One day we will meet (One day we will meet in the shade of a life) In the shade of a life to die for (Watching the world) Watching the world Through the eyes of a child Will I know you then? One day I know We will meet again In the shade of a life to die for Watching the world Through the eyes of a child In elysium Will I know you then? Will I know you then?
The masters of symphonic-power strike again with an insane masterpiece.. I've been a fan for 16 years and watching their progress so far, I couldn't ask for anything more than this. Lyrics that make you shiver from Thomas as always. I am so thankful that this band is still out there and keeps getting better.
A perfect mix of melody & heaviness, melancholy & epicness! I am sure that this will be one of the best albums of the band! A kind of new"The Fourth Legacy",a beginning for some new golden era.
Thank you Kamelot for being my light, counselors and support in these dark times I am in. Thank you. Though, I couldn't really thank you enough. Love you Kamelot, love you from the bottom of my heart. Love you. Always yours. Xo, Nerissa.
Silverthorn was the start of a new era for Kamelot in many ways. A lot of critics and metal enthusiasts liked the album, but thought that Tommy was basically being used just as a replacement for Khan. While I can't argue with that position, Veil of Elysium just shows how good he is at doing just that. I noted in a post on the Sacrimony vid (if I recall correctly) that Tommy was pretty distinct from Khan's style in Silverthorn, preferring soaring vocals and never lingering in the lower and more menacing notes that The Black Halo was known for. Both can belt out high notes, but both vocalists have their own unique feel. Here, I feel Tommy does a great job replicating the style Khan was known for, and might indicate that Haven is the TRUE return to older Kamelot's style.
Oh My God... i have no words, just... it made me remember of the old Kamelot, some shades of epic songs, some from ghost opera album, and it's totally great, amazing song! i can't wait for the album to release! long life to Kamelot! and the whole band! and to the ones who have left the band in the way! Greetings from Chile dear friends!
Yes please, more of this :) I like that it combines the symphonic elements of Silverthorn with a more theatrical tone that we've seen in previous Kamelot albums (and with Seventh Wonder). It sounds like Tommy's been given more scope now he's proven himself a worthy successor to Roy, which really shows off his range and depth. I can't wait to hear the rest!
I don't know why I feel such heartache when I listen to this... perhaps it's a longing for someone who would wait an eternity to find me again, someone who would put their life on the line for me... someone who would love me. Alas, it's doubtful that anyone on this Earth cares about me in this way, I'll probably wander lost and alone in Elysium.
LostSouls you're not the only one it speaks to. Out of all their songs this one is my favorite. I'm a heavy believer in reincarnation...makes me think of the people I may have known in past lives and wrether I would recognize them in this life. It also describes how I think of people in this life who I am closest to
I was really worried when Khan left. Then Silverthorn came out and assuaged my fears. Now Haven has blown all those lingering worries out the window. Kamelot is as good as ever!
Saw Kamelot play this last month for their opening song, their show overall was absolutely amazing. Like omg, I want to go to another one of their shows.
Well, Liar Liar was certainly a strong introduction for sure. You ever go back and listen to their classics, namely Epica and Black Halo in their entirety? Both are concept albums and Black Halo is actually the sequel to Epica. And Epica was so great that a band named themselves after it. Yes, Epica the band named themselves for Epica the album, because they loved it so much.
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINA FUCKING LEEEEEEE!!!!!! Tommy finally sings with his real voice!!! Thank god heavens and hell above and below! I missed that seventh wonder style! His real voice that I adore
Now THIS is how to follow up an amazing album! Kamelot going from strength to strength and I'm so glad that they've got Tommy along for the ride. Such an amazing vocal performance and that chorus! So catchy! I'm not sure my body is ready for this album but I'll try and handle the awesomeness!
Do you know that moment when you like something so much that you can't find words to describe it? Well, I feel that way right now! Seems like Tommy will finally use all the potential of his voice in this album, which is something good, because I heard him kinda limited in Silverthorn, hope it'll be different here, but for now it is! The band is making a combination of works in here, but adding something new, as always: Part of the sound in this song reminds me of their first works, while, on the other hand, I could hear more theatrical elements here, like on Ghost Opera, and it seems darker than Silverthorn, it reminds me of Poetry for the Poisoned. Okey, I let myself go again... I can see now, with security, that Haven will be one of the best works of 2015. I can't wait to May! Amazing job, guys!
At first I wasnt fussed about Roy Khan leaving the band but listening to this I see Kamelot is in good hands with Tommy Karevik...keep up the good work boys
I have been following this band since the Dominion album and I almost have all of their album. I am so glad that they released a new album ( the only album that I dont have yet ), so glad that I wept. seriously.
I don´t like lyrics videos, but i have to admit that this one is awesome!!!! they took the risk and own it!! Can´t wait to hear more of this new album.
Omg! Thomas, Casey, Tommy, Sean, Oliver.......You have done it. I love the anthemic guitar melodies. Casey you are always on top of your game. Sean you are the animal on the bass. btw......still lovin the bass that Doug bought from you. I wanna cry hearing this song. I am jumping for joy. I wanna run up n down the halls at my job screaming Kamelot. I preordered this and I cant wait for it to arrive in my mailbox. What an amazing bunch of guys you are. So very talented and such great people in general. Nobody can do what you guys do. You are the best there is. Thank you for being that band that i turn to for everything.
La canción más bonita que he escuchado, cada vez kamelot me gusta más. Tengo muchas expectativas para el siguiente álbum y aunque un poco tarde os recomiendo que la escucheis
I think this will be the most beautiful album of symphonic metal in 2015
Even with Roy gone, Kamelot still feels like Kamelot. A true achievement!
He sounds like a Disney singer started a progressive metal band. And i love it 😂

Pierre Gren Can not agree more
It's songs like this that remind you metal will never die
Tommy Karevik... I swear, he could be singing to polka music and I would pay money for it.
Can they do anything wrong? NOPE THEY CAN'T BECAUSE THEY ARE FUCKING KAMELOT AND THEY ARE AMAZING!
i get shivers every time i listen to this song. This album is just...gold. It's one of their bests, and this song is pure epicness.
This track was a instant classic for me from this superb band.Long Life to Kamelot!!!!!!!
It's now 2024 and this still gives me shivers. this album is still on the top of my playlists 🔥
I had a near death experience and when I asked an angel said they don't play Kamelot in heaven.
In other news my sin count is doing marvelous.
The first song released from an album is generally done so as a preview for the overall tone of the album as a whole. If that's the case here, then I cannot wait for this album to drop.

Me paso exactamente lo mismo! Somos almas gemelas!
Kamelot is the most beautiful melody in the universe. I love you now and forever KAMELOT and your music, and your souls.Beautiful lyrics. You inspire me endlessly
Antonia Ivanova Es perfecta en toda su magnitud musical y artistica.
sounds like the classic Kamelot!! love it XD
Hear my promise of blistering light
Sowing the rose of obsidian
My dear I promise
Death comes to all
In a heartbeat only silence
Let's play with the fire that runs in our veins
Trust in the might of a miracle
Now winter has come a
And I'll stand in the snow
I don't feel the cold
And it's all that I will ever need to believe
One day I know
We will meet again
In the shade of a life to die for
Watching the world
Through the eyes of a child
In elysium
Will I know you then?
(Will I know you then?)
Now bring down your fortress
And swallow your pride
Don't break in your moments of ignorance
Existence will capture a spark of life
Just a fragment
But it's all that I will ever need to revive
One day I know
We will meet again
In the shade of a life to die for
Watching the world
Through the eyes of a child
In elysium
Will I find you there in that darkness
Of the shadow that comes over all
Dear friend will I know you then
Will I know you then at all
One day we will meet
(One day we will meet in the shade of a life)
In the shade of a life to die for
(Watching the world)
Watching the world
Through the eyes of a child
Will I know you then?
One day I know
We will meet again
In the shade of a life to die for
Watching the world
Through the eyes of a child
In elysium
Will I know you then?
Will I know you then?
Haven will be one the albums of the year, without hesitation.
Since the departure of Roy I could not feel the beautiful meaning of darkness in their songs , but now .. I can feel it again , long live Kamelot .
Exactly my thoughts!
Ive been missing Roy but when im hearing this i feel like Kamelot is back on track!
Ricardo Albuquerque you know... i believed the same until i tried better to understand and i realize that the style was never lost
My thoughts?
Take all my money. All of it. Take me too. I don't care, this music is too damn good.

Kamelot has the most unique, beautiful sound of any band and I LOVE IT! Still part of KamNation

So fucking powerful! They are better than ever. This really sounds like the old Kameot. Truly a masterpiece.
Classic Kamelot are back! And bless Tommy and his godly voice!
Oh My God... i have no words, just... it made me remember of the old Kamelot, some shades of epic songs, some from ghost opera album, and it's totally great, amazing song! i can't wait for the album to release! long life to Kamelot! and the whole band! and to the ones who have left the band in the way! Catchy, melodic, heavy. Kamelot as we all love it.
MAN, I AM ADDICTED TO THIS SONG!!!!!!!! I generally love Kamelot and i am addicted to a lot of their songs, but these days, this is on my no.1!!
Yes please, more of this :)

2018 and I'm still amazed Tommy did a great job Kamelot lives on
Excellent stuff, cannot wait for the full album to come out, just mindblowing!

LostSouls Hope you find thst someone one day.

Is it me or the chorus is really similar to that of "Sacrimony"? the track is beautiful tho, Tommy sounds awesome : )
That old feeling i got first time i heard Kamelot is back with a vengeance, a die hard metal guy has tears in his eyes. Kamelot are back
years specting for songs like this from them.... THIS IS THE OLD KAMELOT IN SELF
Best concert I've been to in a long time. If you guys have a chance to see them DO IT!
Play again... and again... and again... and again...
KAMELOT Foreverrr!!
Loved Kamelot since Halo...now Haven...you gentlemen and lady guests vocalists can do no wrong. Thank you again.
So amazing. I knew they wouldn't disappoint. I'm psyched for this album and to see them again in May.
I only found out about kamelot recently, a friend of mine showed me Liar Liar and I've been in love ever since
same here. But I discovered liar liar myself haha
Same here
OMG! Same with me. My boyfriend showed me also Liar Liar an now I also love Kamelot!! ♥
I know this is late.. but welcome aboard.
My favorite Kamelot song of all time, ever!
When are you going to let us down?
NEVER!!!
You're the best. You're KAMELOT!!!
Napalm at its finest. Best label ever!
Truly beautiful and truly metal, w/ lyrics intelligent & interesting; could stand alone as purely poetry. And it just kicks ass.
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINA FUCKING LEEEEEEE!!!!!! Tommy finally sings with his real voice!!! Thank god heavens and hell above and below! I missed that seventh wonder style! His real voice that I adore

I've watched plenty of lyric videos but this one is exceptional. Great work.
Sooo much EPICNESS 😍
Both in its fast and slow acoustic version, a timesless beauty. I myself keep on listening to it 7 years now...

My god, Kamelot knows how to write lyrics. So freaking beautiful and inspiring...
Been a fan for some time...Tommy is doing a great job. I've never been disappointed by the albums, always great metal. Cheers!
Good Lord, this is off-the-charts remarkable. It's like a Seventh Wonder + Kamelot mash up. It's uncompromisingly extraordinary.
I have been following this band since the Dominion album and I almost have all of their album. I am so glad that they released a new album ( the only album that I dont have yet ), so glad that I wept. seriously.
This is why I love Kamelot! Silverthorn was okay as a bridge but now they have truly reborn as a new Kamelot
This is a sound I've been missing from Kamelot for a long time. I hope it's indicative of the rest of the material on the new album!
I first listened Insomnia and loved the song. But Veils... OMG... it really blew my mind!
