So it was serviced and is back at the original dealer. They won’t go any lower them 35k. Is that a good price? They’re asking 35,900. Manager said they couldn’t do better because it’s priced right. This guys numbers are very skewed. At a shop oil changes will be ~150ish. Brakes you will need to replace pads rotors and sensors EVERYTIME. German rotors use a soft metal that warps and cant be resurfaced. Expect to pay over $800 for all 4. Dumbass blaming a shop for ruining his alignment when his control arms were shot. They can align it all day but if your components are broken it wont matter. Do not use this video as a realistic view of ownership.

    • @NoClutchGarage
      @NoClutchGarage  4 года назад +4

      Are you really serious right now? I have NEVER paid over $85 for an oil change EVER! Anytime I’ve done my pads I also do my sensors however I don’t change my rotors every time because it makes absolutely no sense to do that and I’ve had no warping issues. My control arms got shot after my first alignment and after I found out about the tire wear issue. Plus, the wear issue was in the rear because of a bad alignment where we found out it had too much camber and the control arm that was shot was my front left 🤦🏻‍♂️ IN ANY CASE this was a video about MY experience in the first year and in no way am I implying that everyone should expect this but this was MY experience. Thanks for watching!

      @@NoClutchGarage You are delusional kid and like I said this is a very very poor video to base ownership numbers off of. Im letting other people know to not expect this at all. No offense this video is BAD and gives people the wrong impression. BMWs are very expensive ownership even when you hack your maintenance like this. A battery alone will be double the cost of a normal car battery plus you need to pay to get your computer reset after installation or the battery will fail prematurely. Nothing is cheap, nothing is easy, nothing is normal. Not trying to bash you for making videos nor for the way you take care of your car. Im just shedding light for those who may consider what you have said when deciding whether or not to buy this car.

      The thing is, yes BMWs are relatively expensive to maintain, but I also don’t expect the average driver to get into one of these and expect Honda prices. I had very bad luck my first year of ownership with the suspension and tire stuff. Idk why he would say I’m delusional when I’m literally the owner of the car and know how much I’ve spent on it lol. In any case, the B58 platform is much more reliable than previous engines and thus maintenance is cheaper, however major repairs are still expensive and that IS something the average owner should take into account.
