Thank you for sharing this information Kramer! I really appreciate and enjoy watching you teach.! I love the strings you build and sell. It’s refreshing to the younger generation take pride in their craft. Thank you and God bless your family and crew.!👍🏼
I have been working on building my own bows first one broke second one was going for 50 pound wound up with 9.2 pound lol.but I made a bow and flimish twist string. Thank you for all of your encouraging videos.
I'm compiling supplies to build my own home compound bow maintenance station. I've got materials to make a crude/effective bow press, I've got enough lumber leftovers to make a string jig and a twisting jig. I work with steel often, I can make serving spool jigs from sheet steel(BTW, that serving spinner with the drill is genius, and I will likely be copying that concept once I get things moving with the basics). Eventually I'm going to make a medieval style crossbow(I do the blacksmithing thing too), and figured this would be a great way to prepare for that project, as it's going to need a beast string made for it custom. I enjoyed your video, and I hope all goes well with your product testing and such with Patreon
I've got one of them you made me last month. And I've ordered from a couple other places before I ordered my first string from you. They're still in my carrying case
Awesome Video! Thanks. I had a thought for your "jig within a jig"... at a couple of bolts in the light side of the jig to balance it. May be worth a shot.... Thanks again
Man I'm lovn ur vids! I'm a like a fish, gotta keep moving. I'm a mechanic by trade but have a love for archery and I enjoy do all the maintenance and set ups on my bows. This is a great video sir, keep swimming my friend! Fyi I would be honored to do any testing for you guys.
I use the red spool (China) serving material on my reverse draw Ballista Bat pistol crossbow string and from my experience that stuff has held up very well. It takes a very sharp knife to cut it.
Cool I like your little red you made to speed things up . I’m can’t find them for sale anywhere. I appreciate watching your videos. Michael are Cartwright, a.k.a. wild man Monk
Thanks for the video . Got a 20 dollar serving jig. I am struggling with knowing how much tension to put on it or in other words how tight to serve the center serving ?
DTRX: Here is my advice since no one answered. Just keep it snug be smooth and don't worry about getting supper tight because that is not good either. Technique and wrapping the correct direction is more important. Many serving tools will click if you are excessively tight. I don't know why.
Great video. I’m a very small time, basically hobby grade string maker and I also have a Bear paw serving tool you call “the bomb”. Of all my serving tools It’s my very least favorite because to me it seems to have a very inconsistent tension as the serving pays out off the spool, it’s perfect when it’s in the center and gets tight as it gets towards the edge of the spool. Have you done anything to improve your Bear paw’s performance or maybe I have a bad one?
I am sure your method serves you well but if I use your method and I spin the jig quickly the way you do the serving separates , so I keep my jig fairly tight, wrap slowly, and it comes out perfect every time, Aren't you supposed to serve the string from left to right?
Hey Jim, I am so sorry about that! If you would like a bowstring you can go to shatterproofarchery.com If you have any questions let me know at contact@shatterproofarchery.com
Kramer try to remember the people that you’re talking to making this kind of video people are coming to watch this because they have no idea what they’re doing slow down a little bit. Way too fast in the beginning

You fully served a bow string in 2 and a half minutes. You really mastered it.

Your presentation on your videos have really improved over time.
I agree
Thank you so much! I have been working on it, and that you notice it means so much to me!
Just a great video. Excellent information. Thank you
it helps if you tie a loop in the end of the string so you can pull it through.
Awesome video..!
Question... if you don't have the bow, how do you know where to start the serving on the string?
Thanks..
What is meant by an endless loop bowstring?
You've done that a time or two haha. Great Video
Fantastic!
So did you start on the top loop side or the bottom loop side??????
Is the top loop on your left side???
You should add an equal amount of weight to the other side of that drill jig, to lower/eliminate the bouncing.
Wow 😮

I came across your stings on amazon. Ordered a 56". I will be putting tie on nocks. What string should i use? Should i order the poly grip? Thanks
I’ve tried to buy a bow string a few times but you never answered my request

How long does it take you to complete a set of string and cables? And how long do you let your strings stretch for?
Awesome!
There is no way that that survey is gonna hold me in the year's certain jiggles that lose that you can do that with it
tried the burn thing it did not workthe serving still came apart
Whoa. Now this video is what I was looking for. Excellent. 👍😎🏹🇨🇦
I wish this video dripped last week, just ordered Amazon serving Monday and it’s no good

He's a little past hobbyist.
This was disappointing way too fast. I was expecting better from you, Kramer.
