10:51 I remember this botch, was so serious they put it into the "Don't try this at home" showreel twice, the incident itself and the following moments while referees where around Angle sitting on the chair.
The Jake The Snake guitar botch fell on the prop guy. I remember reading that the prop guy was supposed to get a real guitar, but a cheap one made of thin cheap wood, but instead got one that was reinforced with like fiberglass or something. Jake said something like he was pulling out fibreglass splinters for days.
I mean it’s just glorified acting. They had to do something or else the event would have been a bust and ratings drop. When ratings drop the money drops and when money drops characters leave.
@@lexdro1476 Yep, his damn McMahon pride wouldn't let up so he kept saying, "Kurt, fucking do it again! Throw me through!". But there was also the problem that Kurt had broken his tailbone earlier in the match and as a result, he couldn't get any leverage in his belly-to-belly suplexes.
@@lexdro1476 It wasn't Shane's fault. Whoever ordered the glass ordered the wrong version. It was supposed to be sugar glass but they were afraid it would shatter under the pyro. They ultimately ordered plexiglass. The rest is history.
The right thing would have been to cut off the spot since it was actually too dangerous to try it again, but Shane asked to do it again, and Angle did what Shane requested, forgetting that Shane for sure had at least a concussion the first time he landed on his head (you can hear the fucking *bonk* sound when he did the first suplex on the glass and is painful to hear it again when you realize it), he obliged to the orders of someone that at least wasn't totally in his right mind. That said, it gave us something we still talk about today because was fucking awesome, if Shane didn't pursued a wrestling career would have been the main star of Jackass
Several classic foreign object shots in just interview segments. Guitar on Jake, coconut on Snuka, and Shawn superkicking Marty through the glass facade.
I never understood why whenever wrestlers put another wrestler through an announcer table, that they have to clear of all of the stuff on the table. It makes no sense.
Because getting a Pedigree, or a back body drop on electronics, is the equivalent of falling on a pit of jagged rocks. How does that^ NOT make sense to you???
Because they aren't actually trying to harm one another? Landing on desk fans and pencils and desk lights and monitors would really suck. Just ask Orton from WM 30. Not to mention, the cost of replacing the monitors/ personal devices would likely come outta their pockets...
I remember one in WCW where Randy Savage was supposed to give his opponent a chair shot, but all the chairs around were regular plastic chairs that didn’t fold. He was awkwardly walking around the outside of the ring trying to find a folding chair. It was hilarious.
yeah, lets risk this mans life for fan entertainment lol, he should have been pulled from the match instantly, and people wonder why kurt is so fucked these days
Helping him out?? The minute be was knocked out he should have been on his way to hospital! The fact that they had to shout instructions at him through the rest of the match should have been a clue how serious his injury was!!
I swear, I have SO MUCH respect for Shane McMahon. He could have just had an easy ride as the son of the boss, but the things he did were some of the craziest things I've seen in wrestling! That plexi glass match with Kurt being one, it was absolutely BRUTAL, but I remember him leaping off the jumbotron scaffold from about 50 feet in the air too. I don't know if that was the same match or a different one, but it was absolutely suicidal! There was also the time his opponent was on the mat, slumped against one of the turnbuckles, Shane placed a garbage bin on him, climbed to the top turnbuckle on _the opposite side of the ring_ and then leaped the ENTIRE length of the ring to drop kick the bin into his face! Absolute madness! He must have jumped a good 20 feet or more horizontally across the ring! I've never seen another wrestler even attempt that feat before or since! Yeah, he may have been the owners son, but he damn well _earned_ respect, and a place a wrestling folklore!

I was like 4 when I started watching and never knew wwe was scripted till I got my teens. Hell at 1 point I didn't wanna believe it was fake.
@@Jitsnapping904 im sure someone did when i was young, but the the time i was in middle school, everyone was aware it wasnt real, regardless i was still a fan of it
BABY U MAKE RAIIIIN BUT I GOT THE I GOT THE POWER U MAKE RAIN BUT I MAKE IT I MAKE IT SHOWER U SHALL KNOWW IM THE ONE WHOS IN CONTROL
@@Jitsnapping904 there is difference in scripted and fake
Fake are movies where there are only 20 percent risk involved mainly in action movies during stunts
Wrestling 80 percent risks are involved due to few finishers and stipulation matches and anytime match can be go wrong
That's why many wrestlers suffer injuries some even suffer career ending injuries
So it's 100 percent scripted rather than fake
Yeah now a days WWE is less risky but other wrestling are risky
Respect for the wrestlers for enduring so much pain and risks. 👍🙏💯
10:51 I remember this botch, was so serious they put it into the "Don't try this at home" showreel twice, the incident itself and the following moments while referees where around Angle sitting on the chair.
Man I’m glad that Jake roberts made it through his addictions a true legend of pro wrestling
Surprised the Hardcore Holly/table gash didn’t make the list.
Or the infamous ladder on Joey Mercury's face.
Damn those 2 incidents were painful to watch :/
Oh gosh my anus just cringed. That was so gruesome.
When he got up and I saw the gash, I was sure there would stop the match. And yet he still finished it. Hardcore indeed.
What about Sid's leg ? ;)
Yeah Brock winning money in the bank sucked but it did give us "Brock party".
That was a BoomCase by Mr. Simo. A friend of mine has a Boomcase, and they sound great! Here's the guy's website.

Jr: "BY GAWWWD THE LADDER DOESNT GIVE A DAMN"
The Jake The Snake guitar botch fell on the prop guy. I remember reading that the prop guy was supposed to get a real guitar, but a cheap one made of thin cheap wood, but instead got one that was reinforced with like fiberglass or something. Jake said something like he was pulling out fibreglass splinters for days.
These prop guys sound like morons.
They keep reinforcing things that should be made weaker.
I have new found respect for Stephanie. The fact that she was calling spots to help Kurt gives me chills.
I mean it’s just glorified acting. They had to do something or else the event would have been a bust and ratings drop. When ratings drop the money drops and when money drops characters leave.
Kurt almost killed Shane. 😑
It was shanes fault after the first time the window didnt break
@@lexdro1476 Yep, his damn McMahon pride wouldn't let up so he kept saying, "Kurt, fucking do it again! Throw me through!". But there was also the problem that Kurt had broken his tailbone earlier in the match and as a result, he couldn't get any leverage in his belly-to-belly suplexes.
@@lexdro1476
It wasn't Shane's fault.
Damn no one talking about how the announcement table is literally the strongest thing in WWE
Several classic foreign object shots in just interview segments. Guitar on Jake, coconut on Snuka, and Shawn superkicking Marty through the glass facade.
I like how he simultaneously mix the sound of keyboard tapping while conveying the script... Lol
0:25 fucking slayed me
"He's gonna bust it if it KILLS him!"
"I think it killed him."
"So what!?"
I never understood why whenever wrestlers put another wrestler through an announcer table, that they have to clear of all of the stuff on the table. It makes no sense.
They clear the table to remove the electronic monitors which deals a lot of pain so they remove the monitors
They move the electronics off the table because they can do a lot of damage believe it or not
Because getting a Pedigree, or a back body drop on electronics,
is the equivalent of falling on a pit of jagged rocks.
How does that^ NOT make sense to you???
Someone doesn't have common sense
Because they aren't actually trying to harm one another? Landing on desk fans and pencils and desk lights and monitors would really suck. Just ask Orton from WM 30. Not to mention, the cost of replacing the monitors/ personal devices would likely come outta their pockets...
WWE: Where "safety" means using a _real_ sledgehammer!
Vince: STOP THE MATCH!! DON'T PUT MY SON THROUGH ANOTHER GLASS WALL!!
Kurt: *Throws Shane through the glass wall*
Wrestlers make serious injuries look like inconveniences😂
I remember one in WCW where Randy Savage was supposed to give his opponent a chair shot, but all the chairs around were regular plastic chairs that didn’t fold. He was awkwardly walking around the outside of the ring trying to find a folding chair. It was hilarious.
I really hope there is a clip of that somewhere.
"That table didn't give a damn!"
Lmao
MAJOR props to Triple H and Stephanie for helping Kurt out after he was knocked out like that.
yeah, lets risk this mans life for fan entertainment lol, he should have been pulled from the match instantly, and people wonder why kurt is so fucked these days
Helping him out?? The minute be was knocked out he should have been on his way to hospital! The fact that they had to shout instructions at him through the rest of the match should have been a clue how serious his injury was!!
Shane McMahon deserves so much credit for his balls and willingness to do dangerous spots.
Triple H returned from his first quad injury on January 7th 2002. The quad tear happened May 2001.🤙
Yes sir.
May 7, 01 - which coincidentally is the first day of work I ever missed because of my severe spinal stenosis. I was honestly amazed that Hunter made it through the finish with that nasty injury

Dont care
Vince wanted the match stopped when Shane got hurt. But kept a PPV going after Owen Hart died infront of everyone. What a dirt bag. SMH.
True
The honky tonk incident was one I remember very well because I loved Jake the snake. But God damn that's so sad knowing it was the catalyst for his life's woes. Very refreshing he doesn't blame honky tonk but damn so sad.

Heyman:"So what?"
Heyman in a nut shell
"AND THE TABLE DIDN'T BREAK! THE TABLE DIDN'T GIVE A DAMN!!"
And thats why J.R is the goat 🤣
That Booker King in Burger King style sign killed me 😅😅😅
Honky Tonk Man is still the king of guiter that even Jeff Jarrett and Elias will never replace him 😆
That Angle v Shane match was a highlight of my childhood. I remember screaming "IT DIDN'T BREAK!" everytime.
That guitar shot on Jake Roberts was brutal.
That thud of Shane's head is just brutal.
What about the time hardcore holly hit the big boss man in the face with a glass mug
Ill raise you.. and bring up Abdullah the Butcher hitting Hannibal with a coffee pot. That was one of the most sadistic hits Ive ever seen. Hannibal was bleeding profusely!

- A table match doesn't say "Diva"
- It's a man's match.
Well lets paint pink the tables, add sparks and graffiti with girly color and style "Divas". Problem solved. It's a Divas Table match.

yah I think raw needs a lot of work but smackdown just needs to fix a few stuff they have the talent but they just have to book better my hope is after the draft both roster are equally as good and they can just put out the best product and start new feuds but ali as leader of retribution i'm down for
@@georgeyammine5523 SmackDown just need to Fix the Miz-Morrison-Otis Storyline.....most of the things are decent their.....but RAW needs help big time....the only things good their is the Rollins-Mysterio story-drama-matches and the McIntyre-Ortan WWE championship feud......
When that glass didnt break and that sound of Shane's head hitting the ground was a THUD!!! Every time I see it it takes me back to when I watched the 1st time live in my basement when I was younger!!!
I get a kick out of the *"SUGAR GLASS IS COMPLETELY SAFE AND CANT HURT ANYONE"* line. I have about three dozen stitches from a few stunts that say otherwise.
It is just as sharp as real glass it just breaks out more thoroughly and doesnt remain jagged in long pieces. The first rule is "Cover your face" when going through sugar glass.
It hurts and it cuts just fine
6:48 I agree with that statement. Mad respect for Stephanie and triple h for helping Kurt out after that nasty botch.
Triple H vs McMahon will always be one of my favorite matches, just because it was so brutal(as a kid) and so well played(as an adult) it's prime WWE.
CZW wrestlers who watched this video:
"Not bad."
"To avoid injuries with the fake rubber sledgehammer, he started using a real one instead."
Actually most wrestlers will tell you they hate the sugar glass because of the way it explodes when you hit it.
I will always love good old JR " The table didn't give a dame!!"😂😂😂 the best commentator ever!
Triple H tore his quad on the 21st May 2001 edition of WWF Raw is War not January 7th.
I was just about to type that lol
This guy might've been thinking of his return from that injury being on Jan. 7th, 2002 RAW. Btw i was there and i'm on camera during his return!
I was thinking the same thing.

I wonder why you haven't included the Ladder spot between MNM and the Hardy Boys. Poor Joey Mercury, man. THAT was an absolutely disgusting spot
Maybe because you expect it to be on the list
It was not an equipment botxh, though
@@AUM_-po9sc true, technically you could argue either way due to how the botch was. But still, it was gruesome af either way. No one can say Mercury never took his share of bumps and bruises, that's for sure lol
That was one hell of a streetfight that Kurt and Shane had though.
Watch Honky Tonk Man's reaction after hitting Jake the Snake with the guitar. It's obvious he was expecting it to be a relatively harmless balsa wood prop.
I imagine it would be hard for a surgeon to find injuries similar to Jake's in the puddle that would've been left after a 10 story fall.
King of the Ring 2001, the only pay per view and wrestling show I ever went to. Man that was special. I was sitting on the right side of the titan tron facing the ring (all the way in the back corner) Angle throwing Shane into the glass was brutal. That was a BRUTAL match.
What a match. Top 10 all time in my book.
Next installment: the monitor that finished Kairi Sane's WWE career
Best thing Vince Mcmahon ever had, was his son Shane. Dude gave his 1000% for the company. What a daredevil he was!
i havent always been a fan of Shane McMahon, but i give lots of respect to him in the fact that he's not afraid to roll up his sleeves and put on a hell of a match. two matches that i remember most are his match with Kurt Angle, and his Hell In A Cell match with Undertaker.
