Coming from the ea211 1.4 fitting a dump valve just makes you lose the bottom end pull, I lost .2 seconds off my 0-60 (dragy) after installing one and gained it back after refitting stock charge pipe
@@ot2nie yeah I would they sound amazing but unfortunately that’s how it went for me it may be different on dsg models as you won’t drop boost on the up shift but certainly a massive difference in feel on the bottom end pull and launching

The small hose you block off, from the boost pipe to the intake - what function does this have? And it looks like you're just creating a small filter, correct?
Ik heb gehoord dat bij 2 ton de standaard turbo van de 1.4TSI kapot kan gaan, weet jij of dit klopt? Lees ook iets dat de 140pk turbo met code B beter is dan de 150pk turbo maar ik vind er erg weinig over en is geen bekend probleem
2 ton? De turbo kan echt veel eerder kapot gaan bij verkeerd gebruik en vooral door die startstop.. Over die andere turbo heb ik geen idee, nog nooit iets over gehoord..

Thanks! Voor de standaard turbo is het puur voor het geluid. Nu met de upgrade turbo kan je in theorie meer lucht met minder moeite aanzuigen, dus gunstig voor de turbo. Woensdag gaan we zien of het ook echt uitmaakt😉😉
Ever had the "warning 12v battery: workshop"? Mine has it since yday and if i do the internal check on the car it shows 90% good. Got any clue on this?
Did you do that check before or after driving? Best is to do it first thing in the morning before starting it up. I’ve read somewhere it could also be a fuse, so check your fusebox. If that’s good, replace the 12v
@@thomasbundgaard7804 well you can glue it i guess 😜 My advice would be to leave it stock, if you want to keep the stock look. There is no alternative as is, other than creating some sort of attachment points on the intake pipe.
@@drewsss they come with an engine cover, but the mounting points easily break and if 1/3 breaks, it’s better to leave the cover off to prevent it flying off at some point.. Don’t know about other countries though..
Met de intake pipe en verzendinf was ie net onder de €500. Lijkt idd erg op de K&N! Ik dacht dat ze bij deze 5-10 pk claimde, maar het staat op hun site😉

@@ot2nie Ik doelde op de andere zijde, die af fabriek gesloten is, niet d.m.v. een klepje. Daar boren sommige gaten in, wij hebben het hele vlak eruit gesneden. Vanaf 5:18 te zien rechtsonder.

@@ot2nie Minuutje werk joh. Effe met de dremel de boel open slopen. :D Bij de Golf 7R bijv. maakt het een verschil van 10 a 15pk he. Een 7R die een downpipe heeft met een std airbox, die bottleneckt bij 390pk ongeveer. Als je die intake mod uitvoert, dan kom je op of boven de 400pk uit. Isch gratisch pk's hehe. @@MrRiden82 It fits the E-tron yes, but performance now would not matter, since my setup is far from most setups. Running low boost on an upgrade now and going to 1.5 bar next tuesday so a performance comparison unfortunately won't be reliable..
Why? This is also a full system and why is one better? because Forge states 10 hp and mst only 5 hp? that's not reliable.. This MST box has a ram air inlet, where the Forge one only uses the stock inlet, can't imagine that's better..
@@kam2070 Have you watched my video? For this intake to work, you need to open up the second inlet, therefore providing a direct flow into the filter.. Much better than the bends and corners from the stock setup..
Hello. This is regarding the apple car play…. Hoping I get a response…I managed to get the audio working fine now. Both speakers work. But another issue is if I use car Bluetooth setting - I cant listen to CarPlay text messages. But all other functions work If I use CarPlay Bluetooth - I can listen to CarPlay text messages, but steering wheel buttons don’t work when I want to change music…..

Ook een strakke GTE met 300pk 5.5 sec naar de 100 (claimt hij iig) Zal je zo de link even toe sturen , kan je ook zien hoe blauwe gordels staan. Hij heeft nog wat meer blauwe details gebruikt wat wel strak staat
Nice! I had open kit on my old tuned Audi A3, it was loud without that cover🤣 But it did a lot👏🏼 I think it was 0.1s faster🙈 My car had stage 1, resonator delete, a small gearbox tune. MST said it sould gain 5-9hp and upto 15nm with open kit. I think I will fit this to my Passat too, I have that on my mod list, but will buy the closed one cause open is wayy to loud inside😅 Maybe do it when I get tuning

If sucks in hot engine air, its kind of pointless to mount a different air filter. Higher IAT = less power You can also mod the intake, if you want a bit more intake noises and a small power gain. You could also remove the snowgrill laying under the airfilter, but since you are from Norway I would leave it there.
@@ThenameisOskar yes correct, not worth on regular cars. Just trying. I’m living in south, so the climate is ok. But winter time is kinda a problem, dusty, its cold, this is meant for higher rpms. But with my A3, I always drove far distances, high rpms and was quite active👍🏼 So there was some benefits, the car was a bit slow in low rpms only (1200-2200rpm), but on light intersections or hills I always set my car to S mode or manuall for better wear👍🏼 Will see if I do the same for the Passat, I need the closed one at least, never open filter again in Norway.

It's not a light.
When the enginer revs, it twists back. That's sunlight reflex on the plastic cover :)

Why didn’t you fit the engine cover? Can’t it be made to fit?
The engine cover is hooked to the stock intake tube, it doesn’t fit with this kit..

Jawel, flosdraad en een föhn krijg je het eraf ;-)
Erna met stickerverwijderaar de restjes eraf peuteren.

Je kan ze eraf halen, zwart plastidippen en weer terug erop zetten. Let op, sommige logo’s zijn niet eraf te klikken maar vereist wat schroefwerk

Nope, but the turbo upgrade itself made the exhaust a bit louder.
The intake now makes a nice growling noise when taking off and flooring it ;-)

De RS heeft een 2.0 motor en deze kit is specifiek voor de 1.4😉

Too loud for me and i hate pod filters in the engine bay, but that's personal preference lol

Is beter zelfs, niet zozeer vanwege het hogere octaan, maar wel vanwege het lagere ethanolgehalte: tot 5% in euro98 t.o.v. tot 10% in euro95

About €330 for the intake and €120 for the turbo pipe depending on where you buy it..

This MST box has a ram air inlet, where the Forge one only uses the stock inlet, can't imagine that's better..
