I watched this live during the pregame show and thought the exact same thing. Waino is so amazing. I’m glad this is on the internet so people can see how great Waino is for years to come.
Being able to watch one of the great gamers of our generation give insight to his pitching routine is gold for us baseball fans. Thank you Waino, much respect to you, Yadi, and Tio Pujols from a Dodger fan.
Adam Wainwright is a professional. He seems like a very thoughtful guy. Glad to be a Cardinal fan! I still remember when we got him and Jason Marquis for JD Drew. That worked out well
Really appreciate this Adam. My son is an aspiring pitcher and this will definitely help him. You only keep what you have by giving it away. Thank you!
Amazing content! Spent two months in Missouri and I made sure to get to St. Louis to see the Red Birds as often as I could. Managed to catch them for three games and I have to say that Busch was an absolute treat!
i noticed all the little things he does right. Calling mike maddux sir, neating rolling up his pullover…. he is a class act and a true professional. The tiny details make him great
Cards are always a fun team to watch. Just can’t hate St Louis. Always seem like a class organization, always in the hunt or playoffs each season. Giants fan, always great to see SF vs StL in the playoffs.
My grandson and I were watching from Mississippi last night and the announcers were interviewing Pujols in between innings. Wainwright was doing his warm ups with Yadi and all 3 were in the same frame. I told my little 9 year old grandson your looking at 3 for sure Hall of Famers
@@seda_11 Molina isn't borderline. Newer metrics are showing he's the best defensive player in the history of baseball topping Ozzie Smith and Brooks Robinson. He's pretty much a lock for the HoF.

@@seda_11 To say Yadi is borderline is absurd! He is one of the greatest catchers of all time. Career .280 hitter with 9 gold gloves. He will probably be a 1st ballot HOFer.
@@Bigwheel414 If he's a first ballot HOFer it will be mostly on his name and legacy w/ the Cardinals. But I think HOF voters skew towards using bWAR over fWAR, and in that respect he's pretty close to guys like Jason Kendall and Jorge Posada who didn't make the cut. In fact both those guys with similar JAWs fell off the ballot in their first year.
4:45 I recall a conversation with a friend of mine around 2019, and I had mentioned about how nice it would be if MLB would break the silence when it comes to sideline chatter, mic'd up moments pre-game and overall having a better ability to hear what these big league players have to say during warm-up and so forth. Obviously both parties must be into it, but like Waino said, hopefully it opens peoples ears to a fresh aspect of the game like how the NFL does.
Mr. Wainwright, good luck with all you choose to do. Thank you for our new beautiful lives together now and forever. I love you forever and always. Mrs. Wainwright.
@@chiefsfan1381 agreed, I think he’s right on the cusp, but just not quite at Scherzer, Verlander, Kershaw level. But he’s been one of the best of his era for sure though.
This is amazing. Hats off to Adam doing this…. A lot of people will never understand how sacred a pre game routine is to their many rituals during their long season.
Why because it’s not 100 mph? Did you just ignore the fact that he has three variations of a fastball? 4-seam coming downhill straight, sinker with sudden drop at the plate at the exact same speed, and a 2-seam with arm side movement. I’d love to watch you struggle to square up that “meatball” in the box. Not to mention how funny it would be to watch you buckle time and again to the nasty curveball that literally gave him his nickname. I’m pretty sure he has a cutter too, which is practically a fastball that runs from a righty. That means it might even be four variations of a fastball that go every direction but up, plus a devastating curveball. I would bet a lot of money that you would get sat down 10 out of 10 AB’s you took against Waino.
lol... Big Man has been around a longtime with that Fastball.. Wainwright and Yadi play with hitters heads then mess em up with the 180 curve.. Best I've seen in my 61 years

Agree! It was terrible overall. What is it with playing a recording of the pitcher singing while he pitches in the game? The announcers got more excited about a Cards fly ball out than a Braves homer.
Waino is a class act. I love that he calls the pitching coach "Sir". Very humble.
I always like to think guys like Isringhausen and Chris Carpenter are in the back of his mind glaring at him if he doesn't. LOL

“Cardinales” is Spanish for Cardinals. MLB teams did this to honor Hispanic Heritage Month.
