    Two cool facts about Albert's homers this year:
    1) Only four were hit before the All-Star break. Two of those were in the same game, and one of those was off a position player.
    2) The Cardinals have only lost one game this season in which Albert hit a home run; his second, back in April.

    • @NemosNightmare
      @NemosNightmare Год назад +4

      @@ubernate860 ok so this is a serious debate among the men in my family. Bonds, McGuire and Sosa all cheated, no doubt about it. But to say that it didn't count is up for debate. At the time they supposedly started using steroids they were not illegal. The league banned PEDs in 1991 but didn't even begin to test for them until 2003. So basically they were legal until 2003, because they were not enforcing the law they had made.
      The other side of the argument is what do steroids do, they make you STRONGER. They do nothing for hand eye coordination, ability to make contact,
      Pitch detection, etc. The tools needed to be a great hitter were there, they just added an extra 40-50 feet onto the ball every time they hit it.
      Again this is a hot topic debate, opinions sway wildly to either side depending on the arguments made for or against. Please feel free to join in and help prove or disprove the point!!!

    It's the fact that when it comes off his bat, something that looks like a line drive to left field ends up being like, 458 ft.

    I would like to offer my Congratulations to the one and only Albert Pujols on reaching 700 career Home Runs joining Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, and Babe Ruth in the 700 Home Run Club and soon gonna be in the Hall of Fame. And I hope he and his Cardinals teammates can make his journey to the World Series in Albert's final season! Good luck to Albert and his team and make their 11-year World Series Championship drought come true!

    I was thinking that nobody mention that he played in a era with probably the best pitchers in MLB history. He faced Greg Maddux, Roger Clemens, Clayton Kershaw, CC Sabathia, Justin Verlander, Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson. Just to name a few

    God I wish He'd come back next year...12 away from passing Ruth...That be historic achievement...He could definitely do that....How far past Ruth not sure...But if he smacks 30 homers, he's just 31 away from Bonds 🤯

    That swing. The man finishes one-hand, holding probably a 32oz bat vertical.
