Thank you so much for the Larry Walker clip. For whatever reason his first at-bat is the one that has always stuck with me as the classic example of Cardinals fans with their standing ovation not only coming to the plate as you saw, but he got another standing ovation AFTER he struck out in his first at bat. I've been waiting for years to see the clip, and am glad that you at least got the first half of the clip for us to see.
I am 60 years old, from Southeast Texas and ya'll obviously have a good idea which team has been the love of my life and I hope you can understand my pain from events which came to the light during this past year. It has been difficult for someone who treasures integrity and honesty. I have enormous enormous respect for St. Louis Cardinal fans, the Cardinal franchise, and it's proud past, from Stan " The Man" Musial to Mr. Bob Gibson, to those 80s teams with Ozzy and the Boys to Tony Larussa, to Albert Pujols, to Chris Carpenter, to Yadi Molina. Ya'll are a perfect example of why baseball is the greatest sport in the world, and it's fans( except those a**##**! in the Bronx ) are the greatest fans in the world. #respect #class
Cardinals fans are awesome. They indeed deserve to have stunning legend like Pujols, hometown/postseason hero Freese and long-living veterans like Waino and Yadi. Everytime watching these clips I feel baseball is fantastic not only because these players but also fans. Tip my hat!
Proud to be a Cardinals fan man. It was so much fun seeing Pujols back at Busch recently on the Dodgers and hitting his possibly final home run in Busch Stadium. I hope someone remakes this a little later on because the Cards fans appreciate their players a lot and I love that

that’s funny jon mabry was on 2nd base during holliday’s first AB as a Cardinal, and was the Cards hitting coach in the dugout during Holliday’s last AB
Holliday’s home run in his final at bat still gives me goosebumps. It’s just one of the raw, almost unexplainable moments that sports is so good at giving us. It makes no sense that he would come off the DL that day with a hand injury, go down 0-2 and then hit a bomb.
I took my mom to the 5th game of an NLDS against the pirates a few years ago, and the crowd gave a standing ovation to Adam Wainwright just for coming out to stretch before the game. Hardly sat down the whole night as he got the shutout.
In 2000 when Tony Gwynn was approaching 3000 hits, we gave him a standing O every AB. Barry Larkin once said he looked forward to coming to St. Louis because the fans appreciate good baseball regardless of the team.

David Mullens don’t forget how the cardinals hacked into the Astros scouting. Pure class and integrity right there
@@LdotE And the Astros cheated their way to a ring, but I forgot, that's classy right?
Cardinals fans are awesome.
They indeed deserve to have stunning legend like Pujols, hometown/postseason hero Freese and long-living veterans like Waino and Yadi.
Everytime watching these clips I feel baseball is fantastic not only because these players but also fans. Tip my hat!
Why can’t all fans be like this!
I am SO VERY PROUD and PRIVILEGED to be a St Louis Cardinals fan!!!!!!
I saw Jon Jay as a Springfield AA Cardinal. Always rooted for him. Same with Matt Adams.
Proud to be a Cardinals fan man. It was so much fun seeing Pujols back at Busch recently on the Dodgers and hitting his possibly final home run in Busch Stadium. I hope someone remakes this a little later on because the Cards fans appreciate their players a lot and I love that
Best fans in the world
Tears tears tears
Can't help it
GREAT GREAT MOMENTS FOR OUR CARDINALS GREATS
There was a Rangers fan sitting next to us at a WS game in ‘11. He shook everyone’s hand around him at the end of the game and said it was true what they say about Cardinals fans being the best.
I have an autographed baseball of Willie Mcgee. My brother got it for me. One of my most prized possessions. My little brother (not so little anymore) knew how much l love him and still do.
Best most respectful fan in baseball without a doubt.
Man it was awesome to see Waino, Yadi, and Pujols all have one last season
"How can you not be romantic about baseball?" - Billy Beane
Man when Matt Holliday left I’ve never had so many tears in my eyes
Cardinals fans are the classiest fans in all of baseball
Much respect...great fans!
I’m a Phillies fan… but the fact y’all cheered him on after he homered against y’all shows how much y’all love y’all’s players
Why I'm so glad I was born, raised, and still live in St. Louis!!!
Larry Walker was my favorite player as a kid. Gave me chills!
Juiced or not, McGwire had the wickedness swing in MLB
Just goes to show yadi and Adam have been the glue to this team
I was there!!! It was AMAZING!!!
Great fans. I still remember the standing ovation they gave Aníbal Sánchez in the NLCS after the No-Hitter was broken up. When the Cards come back to DC, I'll be sure to attend.
When I was there I almost cried
Hell, they gave the Astros a round of applause after they beat them in the 2005 NLCS. That was class
Those were good teams back then. I guess being from St Louis don't get why more teams\ fans don't do it. It sure seems to leave lasting impressions on players. We have been fortunate to grab quite a few on back end of careers for reasonable prices that give Cards solid yrs. Many of those players have choices, no trade clauses. Not saying only factor obviously
I'm a Cards fan, but, Cubs fans really embrace their team as well. Maybe not for fellow fans like Bartman though. I've never seen that much beer thrown at a fan in my life, lol!!
Best fans in baseball
I feel so blessed. I was at the stadium for Albert's first game back at Busch, his 300rd HR, AND McGwire's 61st (not his 62nd though).
Pujols is a legend.Cardinal fans love him so much he can hit homeruns against them an get a curtain call.Cardinal fans are amazing.I respect fans like that.
I love Willie. My goodness.
He is so humble. Wish more athletes would emulate the way Willie carried himself.
All of our hero as a kid. Willie was and still is the man!
Willie was one heck of a ballplayer
He never half-assed it that I can remember
Yadi is a class act.
that’s funny jon mabry was on 2nd base during holliday’s first AB as a Cardinal, and was the Cards hitting coach in the dugout during Holliday’s last AB
Uhhh no?
BEST FANS IN ALL MLB! BAR NONE.
Holliday’s home run in his final at bat still gives me goosebumps. It’s just one of the raw, almost unexplainable moments that sports is so good at giving us. It makes no sense that he would come off the DL that day with a hand injury, go down 0-2 and then hit a bomb.
I love watching STL Cardinals
I can hear Yadi now, "Enjoy the moment, Maquina, now we have to strike you out." lol
I took my mom to the 5th game of an NLDS against the pirates a few years ago, and the crowd gave a standing ovation to Adam Wainwright just for coming out to stretch before the game. Hardly sat down the whole night as he got the shutout.
Best. Team. In. Baseball. Cardinals Forever!!
I'm not sure, but I hope they treated Musial, Brock and Gibson the same way.
They're adored here. Brock and Gibson get standing ovations whenever they're at the park
@David Smaltz was just checking, David. The Yankees treated Roger Maris like crap for years, so I can't assume anything.
On opening day, the Cardinals Legends parade around the stadium wearing Red Jackets. I would say they are appreciated...
You kidding?
@@gabrielstevens41 rip bob and Lou both missed
In 2000 when Tony Gwynn was approaching 3000 hits, we gave him a standing O every AB. Barry Larkin once said he looked forward to coming to St. Louis because the fans appreciate good baseball regardless of the team.
