I used to box as a hobby and to lose weight. I got really cocky and was just itching for a fight. Well I got what I wanted and was humbled real quick. It's easy to keep proper form and technique when a punching bag don't punch back. In a real situation that adrenaline rush gonna make u forget all that unless u really built like that. My daughter was diagnosed with Covid and pneumonia the day after Christmas. She is better but now I’m sick. Best thing I was taught about self defense is always go down fighting and never leave home without protection! I carry mace on my lanyard and a box cutter and my pewpew is never far away! Never give up And always go for their most vulnerable spots: eyes, nose, nuts, knee. If they hit your eyes/nose it can make them water and they have trouble seeing you. Nuts well we all know that one, knees actually are very easy to take out from the side, break their knee and you can run to safety.

Having learned martial arts myself for more than half of my life, jiu jitsu, kickboxing, Kung fu and tae kwon do, I know what can work and what won't. But we also need to remember also, that no matter how good you are or think you are, even my highest level trainers say, if you can run or get away, do so! These are for extreme, very last resort times, and even then, there's always a good chance of the effective moves not working and you coming off worse than if you'd just legged it! As someone who took Karte classes growing up I can confrim this. My instructors always said if you can "Run" don't fight if thiers a chance to run, just run. Some of the styles he teaching could be consider martial arts but, thier to unprofessional looking and his stances are so weak the attcker would overpower him easily just but the footwrok being wrong! He says for girls, use your nails to scratch at the eyes and face if you're up close to someone who is just attacking without weapons. He also had a guy went around with him who would put people in those situations, only enough to physically restrain them into a submissive position to see if they knew what they were going to do. And most importantly, an ACTUAL way people try to come after you. Like for instance, for a girl, he'd lay you on the floor and the guy would hold you down and try to get into your pants (without actually unzipping or being gross), then teaches you what to do if he's holding your arms above your head and you have nowhere to go. Now that's a more realistic situation to be training for, versus Barney huggers out here....

Wow. This, and so many "qualified" people like him give a bad name to actual self defense trainers! Having learned martial arts myself for more than half of my life, jiu jitsu, kickboxing, Kung fu and tae kwon do, I know what can work and what won't. But we also need to remember also, that no matter how good you are or think you are, even my highest level trainers say, if you can run or get away, do so! These are for extreme, very last resort times, and even then, there's always a good chance of the effective moves not working and you coming off worse than if you'd just legged it! There's no shame in preventing ending up paralysed, hospitalised or worse. Funny video for sure though! Lol

As someone who took Karte classes growing up I can confrim this. My instructors always said if you can "Run" don't fight if thiers a chance to run, just run. Some of the styles he teaching could be consider martial arts but, thier to unprofessional looking and his stances are so weak the attcker would overpower him easily just but the footwrok being wrong! 14:07 so idk where this other dude was, but I watched this one guy on youtube who teaches self-defense, and he had it right. He says for girls, use your nails to scratch at the eyes and face if you're up close to someone who is just attacking without weapons. He also had a guy went around with him who would put people in those situations, only enough to physically restrain them into a submissive position to see if they knew what they were going to do. And most importantly, an ACTUAL way people try to come after you. Like for instance, for a girl, he'd lay you on the floor and the guy would hold you down and try to get into your pants (without actually unzipping or being gross), then teaches you what to do if he's holding your arms above your head and you have nowhere to go. Now that's a more realistic situation to be training for, versus Barney huggers out here....
