Yes I'm well aware that the Cover screen is 6.3 INCHES and not millimeters. It's still just slightly wider. 🤷🏻♂
Im a fan of the slim cover screen and hope they never get rid of it. It WOULD be cool to see them come out with an Ultra version that IS wider (and for the love of god put the S Pen INSIDE it already am i right?)

You will love this phone. I changed a year ago to the fold 4 and it's a fun phone to use, especially when using RUclips and watching movies.

@@TheTekEffect I had the opposite experience with the fold 4 it worked good the first 6 months then glitches n stuff n now I ended up trading it in for the 14 pm and been with this phone for a year 😅

I pre-ordered the 6 in navy. I’m upgrading from the IPhone 12. I’m so excited for it to come!!! Such a beautiful phone and imo I feel the navy is the best color. Never had a foldable phone so this is going to be a new experience.

Traded my 12 pro max for the fold 3, 3 years Ago and it was the best decision I ever made. To this day people are still amazed and ask what phone this is when im using it and 3 years later there's still features I'm learning and love about this phone

Just preodered from the fold 4. I wasnt going to, but I made the mistake of going to a Best Buy and holding one... the weight of the phone itself had me, its very noticeable. The wider front screen which alot of people are giving crap for, i actually liked it very much. Guys, go hold one...

I agree with you in regards to the toxic upgrade culture. People are expecting something Ground-breaking EVERY year. The magic is in the refinements year over year until the phone is almost perfect. I'm upgrading from the fold 3 and can't wait. If you want something to blow your mind every year then neither Apple or Samsung can help you. you just need to wait more until the combined amount of upgrades is to your liking
Same upgrading from my fold 3. Was hoping for a bigger screen but from 3 to the 6 there is definitely an upgrade and the 900 dollars trade in value is pretty good

These foldables aren't reliable save your money and opt for a regular s24
The inner screen isn't the same size. It's now 2.7mm bigger.

Compared them in person... its wider! There is a noticeable difference.
It feels and looks wider when its in your hand as opposed to what the measurements are on paper. Not thrilled about the same midrange cameras but i ordered a white 1tb anyway.
They really are not mid range cameras. Get real now. They are same cameras as s24 and s24 plus and they are definently not mid range...rolls eyes

LOL phones like the Samsung A series is mid range! Pixel a series. I just held it and was blown away by the in hand feel this year. I totally agree with you on that stuff

@@redstang70 I have the S24 Ultra and the Fold 5. If I took pictures with each of them and showed you side by side, you probably wouldn't know which was which.
I've seen many reviewers post videos saying that the outer screen is 6.3 versus 6.2 on the Fold 5, so the screen is 1mm wider... This is incorrect. Yes, the screen is 1mm bigger, but the aspect ratio changed and the display is shorter and wider. Samsung said the usable width of the outer display is close to 3mm wider. It's not quite what many were hoping for, but it's much more significant than people are making it sound.
I do agree with you that the aspect ratio makes a difference. Just not a big enough of a difference in my opinion. Still prefer the OnePlus Open's wider screen.

Still on my Fold 3. Amazed at how incremental 4,5 and 6 have been. Almost better to buy a 2 year old phone and save $1500 to get 90% of functionality
Lol I had a fold 3 myself and went to the 4 when it came out. I can assure you just the jump from the 3 to 4 was worth it. Stop listening to people who are not everyday fold users. I pre-ordered the 6.

The Fold 3 to Fold 4 is an upgrade because they changed the camera's. The Fold4 to Fold5 is an upgrade for the hinge. The Fold5 to Fold6 definitely isn't an upgrade. The only difference is slightly a wider cover screen which isn't worth the price difference.

I have pre ordered, i got silver with silver buds, i am upgrading from fold2, the fold2 has served me well and with $600 trade in i had to do it
in my country they give $600 for fold4 512 :/

yea we are at the age of skip a year. Which is what i did fold 4 to fold 6. I did have the fold 3 and then got the 4 because of the the larger front screen. But here i believe the 5 was not much of an upgrade. The 6 me and my next upgrade would probably be the 8 unless the 7 has built in spen slot
Just god my self a Fold 5 on the cheap. €264 down payment, with my new carrier contract.
Also looked at pre ordering the Fold 6 with my new carrier contract. Had to pay over a €1000 down payment.
So the Fold 5 was a no brainer. Though I do like the boxier design of the Fold 6

Agreed most phone upgrades for the last 5 or 6 years at least are small upgrades every year. Massive upgrades and changes are very rare today. That's why I stopped the yearly upgrades years ago and now upgrade about every 2 because I notice my phone and battery going downhill after that.
Might be refined enough finally for me to make the jump from iPhone. Was hoping you would be able store the s pen in it this year though. Nice KISS shirt also!
I finally am going for the fold. I love the new design.
Ordered a pink one today. If samsung keeps offering trade in deals. I will continue to upgrade. Yes higher retail but lower with trade in total. I paid higher last year for the 5. Yes I believe it's time for samsung to make a drastic change on the next one.
I'm on board with Samsung for the software, the trade deals, and the narrow display (it's controversial but I personally like it). I am not on board enough to upgrade every single year though, that sounds expensive and sounds more or less pointless.
Aside from the Fold 1 to 2, was there ever a year-over-year improvement that was significant by itself?
I'm upgrading from the 4 to 6 because the 4's had the most reported cases of failure and I'm a little afraid of it, want off that ship before it sinks, but I think the sweetspot for time to upgrade in order for it to feel significant is 3 gens at a time.

I am waiting for my fold 6 navy. I have been using the foldables since fold2 and honestly I cannot depart the larger screen form factor. Once you get used to it, you cannot go back to bar-type phone no more.
I like flip phones because I like using small phones and making them bigger when wanted. But with the fold having a big screen in the front what’s the point of using the inner display ? Besides as a tablet if someone already has a tablet ?

I agree with your closing comments. I've been a Note, then S Ultra user for years and years. My S23U screen recently got cracked and I was getting ready to order a S24U last week, but then I was like, Ya know what, I'm gna wait a few days and see what this new fold looks like." And even though it's not a lot different from the 5, for some reason I just felt now was the time to jump into the foldable world. I can't wait for it to get here as it'll be my first!
My Fold 4 has either a battery or MOBO issue where it'll lose audio and has issues restarting. But physically, it's almost perfect. So I'll be happy to trade it in for the Fold 6.Pre-ordered the Crafted Black.
I changed from my fold 3 to the S24 Ultra.....low key, like the lowest key wish I had of waited....
I held the navy blue F6 in my hand, and it's gorgeous. The outter screen is like an S24 Ultra Lite.
The inner screen feels fantastic (fold 3 I was terrified to get dirt on it).
It is reasonable to expect Samsung to listen to feedback from customers regarding making the S-pen work on the front screen of the Fold 6.
My Boyfriend ordered the navy blue (from the Z Fold 4) and for me, the pink one (from the Z Fold 5)!!!!!!!

@@larocc1 depends on what your reasons for switching are. The Open is better in many ways. I’m specifically doing it for future trade-in value, better / more accessory availability, and for better ergonomics in the hand.

As with apple, this is an iterative update. As phones exceeds $1000 you tend not to upgrade each year. So it´s more interesting to see the differences jumping two or three generations and that´s where it will be noticeable.
I will be jumping from a FLIP 3 to this. That phone sold me on that foldable is not a gimmick. Now I will find out what formfactor works best for me.
And I doubt that I will notice a performance difference or that I will care how square the corners are or that I will have more AI. Or even that the cameras are better.
I dont see why reviewers don't say what it really is. Just the same phone as last year with minor updates....end of video. Samsung is super lazy

I don’t get what people expect. They release a phone every year. Not much can be improved on in a year. The S line is basically the same, not to much of a difference from the 23 to 24. The phone tech boom has slowed down over the years and only miner upgrades/ fine tuning is being done. Not to mush more you can do with phones at the moment.
Going from the Fold 3 to this so im hoping it will be great in comparison.
I went in to The store to play with it today, I was surprised. I'm coming from a fold 2, and damn...substantial difference. Every year I skip an upgrade due to how similar it felt, last year tempted me but this fold 6 made me tell the lady to put in an order within 20seconds.
Might get one. Idk yet. FOR SURE. Gonna get watch 6 classic since 7 lineup has no rotation dial. And buds 3 pro for sure. My dad needs a phone so either ill give him my 24 plus and get the fold6. Or idk
People always compare to last year's phone... Most people aren't upgrading after 1 year.... I went from the fold 3 to the 6... The difference is MASSIVE

I'm excited for this! I'm upgrading from a Fold 3, so this will be a nice big jump forward for me! I'm hoping that I'll get it the end of this week too; Samsung hasn't said anything new on their site for my order, but someone else on RUclips pointed out that if you have My Choice for UPS (which is what Samsung is shipping these through), you can log in and see any upcoming shipments to your address and according to that, I have shipment from Samsung scheduled for delivery on the 19th!
I have the fold 3. Going from a 3 to a 5 is more expensive than going from a 3 to a 6 because of the special promotions they have on the 6😊

Do what u got to do. But upgrade the damn cameras... There is no logical reason for the most expensive phone in their lineup not to have the best cameras.

Don't discount the cover screen without giving it a try. Its second to NONE with ease of one handed use when folded, and a perfect small tablet when unfolded. I agree they should make a variant that is wider, but the cover screen we have now will not go anywhere

I clapped when you mentioned the toxic upgrade culture. I've started to notice that in different forums and it's draining. I appreciate incremental updates as much as I do, evolutionary ones. My Fold 6 is on it's way.
oh my god, normally we over here in holland we only had the fold as the only foldable option in this form factor but i now see that also the Oneplus open is available here.

as all the other ones exist i really thought the fold 6 would finaly be good but no, apparantly they're addicted to doing it very badly.
It is soooo much lighter then fold 3. Feels good in hand. But very disappointed there is no Spen slot. The flip 6 also looks very nice in person.
I actually am going back to S24U from the F5. They didn't do anything in the F6 that makes the price as high as it is. The Flip 6 is actually an upgrade from the Flip 5 (slightly bigger battery/better camera)
I'm trading in my iPhone for this, and I returned my new iPad and am selling my MacBook. With the Z Fold and a Galaxy Book 360 Pro, I have a phone that doubles as a tablet, and a laptop that doubles as an even larger tablet, cutting out my need for an e-reader, or a larger tablet (which I use extensively for scientific diagrams and handwriting notes).
This may not be a big upgrade for people who already have a Z Fold, but coming from an iPhone, this is a big improvement for me. Plus, the boxier aesthetic is much better than the older design, IMO.
I haven't looked into the folds and flips before. Cool that you don't have to open it to use some of the functions. I think that crease would bother me, at least for a while. I'd probably get used to it, but I don't think I'd ever not notice it. I have a Galaxy tab S5, and I actually turned off the fingerprint sensor because it was too cumbersome to get a good read on it in the case. I do like seeing that you can use the different halves of the phone for different things, I never knew that. As for the price difference, part of it will be due to improvements, part will be to the increased cost of components and energy rates.
As long as that crease exists, I will never own one.
I really want a fold, but I love the apple ecosystem, and its easy with my whole family with using native apps to share everything. Apple needs a fold.
I got one, never had a fold, waited until they fixed the folding and they have. Also, my service gave me a year free with a new line.
If they made a phone that is exactly half of the Fold6 (that is, only the front screen), it would make my day: I've had enough of big and wide phones, as they are cumbersome to carry in the pockets, but companies seem to go for that form factor...
And the price... ough...
It's not that upgrades on the previous phone have to be upgraded drastically but when you've got 3 generations of 1 device all more or less having the same specs AND you put the price up.... it's a but ridiculous
6.2 to 6.3 for the front screen is a useless stat. We need to know the width.

I've been a fold owner since 2019 and I always say that anyone who's never own a fold device, knows zelch about foldables. They are mini iPads that are multitasking kings, and they're extremely versatile. They're conversation starters with some of the nicest looking chicks who don't give one chit if you have the 1 or the 5, nor do they care about snapdragon specs, camera mega pixels gibberish like that. When you pull out a fold, you're pulling out the device people will automatically assume you have money. I've also come to the conclusion that phone reviews are redundant, the comments are pretentious and after spending $4000 on two fold devices, I'm not giving Samsung another dime for a few years. A fool and his money are soon parted.....hard pass..
I've seen nothing that makes me regret moving from my Fold 4 to the S24 Ultra 1TB.. I had over a year with the fold and couldn't see the point
I bought my Fold 4 as soon as it released. I upgraded from the Fold 3. When the Fold 5 was released, I was very disappointed as nothing really changed. Now, with the release of the Fold 6, I am VERY disappointed. Barely any changes, and none that are actually significant. I've been itching to upgrade, but once again I won't. I wish competitors had better software, I'd switch instantly. They're all better overall though.

I loved my fold & flip 5, but over time they both became laggy. When using apps like 'instagram' or using the boomerang feature it was very delayed. My iPhone never had these issues 🫤 maybe app developers cater more towards iPhone performance?

I want this for the AI sketching. I did run in to a lot of issues when using a demo model when adding sketches to existing photos. I kept getting an error complaining about the location of my drawing

Got a question. On the snapchat app. Is there still a night mode? Where it enhances the picture at night when you take the picture like the fold 4? And does it finally have doul camera mode on snapchat?

if it would have no crease and if the selfie camera would have been in the corner instead of under the display, i would have definitely considered purchasing it.
The day Samsung will make it wide ,little shorter and with built-in S-pen and better camera, only than I'll consider buying it. Galaxy S is the best till then.

The fold 6 needed a bigger front screen, bigger battery , the dark corning non reflective glass, s pen outer screen, this was good but incremental and I might wait until fold 7 or fold 6 slim. The software is excellent but the hardware needs work . I might get the tab s10 or pro 360 laptop instead

Not at all for me. I prefer the more rigid corners though.
Yes they are sharp you will need level 5 cut resistant gloves to type on this thing.
Trading in my ZF5 for ZF6. Total after tax $543. No brainer.

The S pen doesn't scratch the screen if you press to hard.. because I seen the fold 4 get marks with finger nails

We didn't ask for something revolutionary, we just asked for a normal aspect ratio on the outer screen.
The Vivo X3 Pro and the Honor Magic V3 are 10 times better than the Fold 4s (6).
