The best idea I heard was to put Trump into a town hall of people that disagree with him. Put him on TV getting laughed at, throwing hissy fits and getting angry at actual questions.
I would actually tune in to watch that. CNN wants my attention and ratings? Actually represent the American people, reason and truth. It may be a bad idea politically and morally, but if all you care about is money, platforming him makes perfect sense. Very well put. At this point, it's impossible to conceive anyone being on the fence about Trump. It's for mainstream liberals, who absolutely cannot ever get enough of hate watching Trump; watching him is a guilty pleasure because it validates all their suppositions about how good a person they are. Lastly, it's for Chris Licht, who took control as CEO of CNN in February of 2022 and immediately began taking the channel on a hard shift to the right, he's obsessed that his news station is "radioactive" to Republicans because that means there's no way he can appeal to (and derive money from) about 40% of the USA's population, and it's simply not acceptable to him to leave that much money on the table. So for his own desire to maximise profit share, Licht made the business decision to host the 'Town Hall' and encouraged Trump to "go out and have fun" before the event, because he knew that it would make money, and nothing is more important to him.
