I was at the Expos' game for the Rick Monday home run in 1981 NL pennant race. Dodgers had a great team.

I was able to see this infield live in 1978 on a Monday Night game against the Montreal Expo's. LA won 4-0. I was 9 years old and my first MLB game until I finally was able attend a couple dozen during my 5 years stint in Seattle from 02 to 08...

i started following baseball as a little kid, right in the middle of this 8 year run, great times.. Garvey was my favorite sports hero as a kid, had his sports illustrated posters, baseball cards, remember when we had a book fair in elementary school, would always buy the Baseball stars book looking forward to the read up on Garvey

I too was a huge Dodgers fan directly in the center of their glorious run with the infield Garvey, Lopes, Russell & Cey. And Garvey was my favorite as well, the best player on one of the best teams in baseball for a decade!

1977-81 was extremely memorable watching the Dodgers face off against the NY Yankees 3 times in 5 years in the World Series, with LA eventually beating the Yanks in 1981, which became the 1st & only Championship for the group.
