I just got my 55X30 flexispot desk with bamboo desktop based on your video. I had been looking at the Uplift. My only comment is that assembly took longer than you mentioned-a lot longer. I spent 30 minutes unboxing, getting the screws into cups, removing all the packing materials, etc. Four of the predrilled desktop holes did not line up with the holes in the frame. But it's very nice, the motors are smooth and it is rock stable on my carpeted floor. Thanks for the video.
so flexispot sent you both uplift and their desk? kinda insane their marketing is crazy. i feel like you can't trust any of their content on youtube, reddit etc. its all biased somehow
the fact they sent the uplift with the T-legs, not the C-legs is immediately sus. Uplift even offers the C-leg feet at 2 different lengths, one option longer than the E7. That would have likely greatly affected stability, but maybe Uplift didn't offer that when this was filmed a year ago.
#workstations - I'm strapped for money so I'm thinking of buying one of these frames and the desktop from somewhere else. If I did that, which frame would you say is better equipped for handling a third-party desktop? Like, people keep mentioning holes not being in the correct places anyway, so it sounds like it might be fine, but I'd like to know your opinion. Also, I wish they had sent you the Uplift with the C-legs so it would have been a true comparison.
#workstations Thanks, Tim - very helpful review :) I'd be interested in a review of the new FlexiSpot E7 Pro vs Upstand. E7P now a C frame with taller max height (50.6") - do they still have superior stability? they've raised their prices, retail pretty much on par with Upstand but they have rolling discounts to compete/try to increase market share. One major difference to me is choice of desktop materials - FS very limited, US has a great variety, perhaps worth paying a bit more to get what you want? Cheers!
Love my Uplift desk. I didn't find it that bad to put together, BUT... I do agree that the drilling/screwing in holes for accessories seemed unnecessary and I didn't like it very much. Like my keypad for raising/lowering isn't tight on the desk because the holes weren't great and I didn't want to do further drilling
Yesssss totally agree! i think in comparison, it felt like more of a hassel but it's an amazing option overall! I found the same thing about the keypad and thought it was just me, but there's a small gap preventing the keypad to be a tight fit to the desk! Thanks for watching Richmond!
As someone that is order ING the flexispot i can tell you the built quality on the uplift is way better quality, thicker, and the legs that house the mother and where it does the L shape are braced and better soldered and create a v shape Pattern where as the flexispot is soldered directly on the motor mount! Which will translate as a more stable desk on the uplift side and it is why i Will pay extra 170$ and buy the 4 leg version of the flexispot!

Thank you for this video. May be a good idea to fix your audio tho, it was mostly blasting in my left ear only #workstations

Flexispot sent both desks for review for free? 🤔

#workstations which desk do prefer? The flexispot?
I can't find the white top you have in the video on the Flexispot website...
Hey James! The one I have is a chipboard--> 60 x 24! I don't think the white is available in smaller sizes from what I'm seeing~ hope that helps!
Are these "T" leg or "C" leg desks?
The E7 was C leg and the Uplift was T leg, but Uplift now has C legs as an option for the same price.

NO WAY!!! i never looked back once i had one hahah! hope this one helps give some insight into two of them!
@@TimChuon me included. Someone at work talked about uplift desk and how they wanted to look into them. TODAY. 🤯
