If you are fitting a gate on the bridge to stop the infected, you could incorporate it in with the Southern Gate Building so that you can have them all as one building. It means if you are in the left tower (your base behind you) you’ll be able to look out along the road and the bridge at the same time. Which would give you extra protection (in the real world that is. You could also build a gate and gate house on the far side of the bridge which they would have to get through first. For added security you could also build a brick wall all the way around the perimeter (say two or three wall high, then stick the spikes all the way around the bottom. It would be a fortress 🏰 and look amazing
Wow, I had that same problem with the mineral extractor in the desert returning standard iron and stone - I think I set up mine in the exact same place as you did. So weird! It's also funny to hear you talking about liking the apartments when the first couple of times you looted them you said you hated them and would never return 🤣
It respawns at midnight so DAY 91 you'll be good to go. Also, thanks for showing me that oil shale can be mined automatically, when I set up my units I only got the iron ore so I mined it myself. Have to try a new spot and see if I can get shale.
Your videos are always enjoyable Kage! Just a thought but what do you think about a dedicated building for log/plank storage like a sawmill or something? I was thinking about making one on my play through and I always enjoy having your videos for inspiration, your building style is alway fantastic!

I like the mixture of looting and building it breaks up the content so it doesn't become repetitive.
@Kage848, you don't need to put the sandstone in chests, they have their own storage crate like stones and coal
