What’s up guys and gals, I’m Kage848. I love to make videos for RUclips, mostly early access survival games like 7 Days to Die, Empyrion, Raft, Mist Survival, The Forest, and more! I also dabble in City Builders and strategy games like Civilization 5, Civilization 6, Dawn of Man, Stonehearth, Factorio and Rim World. I do at least two videos everyday of mainly tutorials, let’s plays and general gameplay footage. Thanks for watching my videos.
---------------------------------
This Early Access game is not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development.

SCAN EVERYTHING!!!! Bottom right the scanner icon will appear. If you already scanned it you get 1 iron.
The Scrapper tool can break iron, copper, coal, and silver nodes also, but it takes a bit longer. But no battery loss...
Fabric is used for medkits, and other things.
Your base should be much further away from your starting point. It should be at the limit of the oxygen range so you have more range to explore as you expand.
I dont normally like this type of game, but this one has potential.
Good point. I was thinking about 66% of a tank, but it will be irrelevant very soon with upgrades.
As a note, you can build an airlock to replenish oxygen without need of a full habitat.
Also for corridors, each corridor holds 2 solar panels 1 each side. If you make a long corridor make sure it is corridor, short corridor, corridor allowing room for solar panels.
Power is universal.. so having a large station making and storing power will help later as your later stations can be built without the need for large amounts of solar panels all over the place.
You should read the logs. They don't just tell the story of what happened, they will tell you of new areas to go to that enable you to acquire advanced items for crafting.
Kage, I know you didn't like to read on screen, but I need to thank you for your ability to do so. I was yelling at the screen every time I was watching a certain other content creator call the scrapper a scraper.
Thanks for the content!
glad to see you finally jumped into this game. Scan everything including buildings just like subnautica. you can build corridors and use them for oxygen stations, as well as setup miners. please please do a complete playthru. if you play this as much as you do the infected everyone will be happy.
Hello greatings from Germany your videos are the most enjoyable and when have a bad time i watch you videos and i feel like when i was younger and had no problem please keep the good work up you are amazing😊
This reminds me more of Breathadge as well as elements of Subnautica.
Yay finally haha been waiting ages for you to do a new series this game rocks, the infected still my fav tho lol
use the scrapper to break those small rocks, instead of the drill, save the battery cells! And to access areas in the cave that block you. Scan everything, the plants, structures, and the lights too! Build many bases, near all areas, with storage boxes, so running out of oxygen never happens/ Storage boxes use no energy, wall mounted storage do!
yeah like Subnautica there's a scanner icon on the hud that pops up to tell you something is scannable too. that first area you were in had more prints you didn't get.
The scrapper is actually better at the start than the mining tool. Despite the game not telling you, you can use it to break up the smaller asteroids, and you don't want to mine the bigger ones at first anyway. Until you can recharge the batteries, it's better to try avoid using them up unnecessarily. Also, you can pin up to four recipes which makes it easy to track what you need to grab. Equipping automatically assign the hot keys for the next available slot. Use Control to stop when moving in space.
The question is how long it takes versus oxygen loss. Before your first canister upgrade it's certainly not worth it. After that, depends how far you are from an O2 source. Once you have a charger and a surplus of batteries waiting, it's better to mine the tool way.
at 16:53 you missed picking up the Fungu and use your scrapper to chop down the blue trees both of those resources are needed for building items.
The game you are playing reminds me of the game called Breathedge nice game but hard but not too hard , but as soon as you said that you needed a tool called the scraper I had to look back at it and I was wondering what game you were playing but this looks good too . Good luck in the game ill keep watching
This. Breathedge. Anything else...meh. :D
Ahh one of my favorite new survival games! [For the record there still is some free floating quartz in the starting area, but you have to pay attention.] Tanks? You're welcome! *Flees pun police.* Three things: You do collect the Fungu for crafting needs, you can scan the habitat rooms itself and you can use the scrapper on those trees you first saw in the dome. And you need the fabric to make first aid kits especially if you forget to slow down before opening doors (as well as fabric in some module rooms.) Not all stuff totally refunds mats without a recycler, be warned. Make a batt charger, a Base Fabricator then a Smelter, trust me. Then look into an advanced Fabricator but likely you'll be making a research station first. Follow the signals given.
Kage, in the Dome, you missed the Habitat (Rooms) you were in. You can scan them for additional room designs for the base. There are 2 different rooms, both of which are needed.
You also missed the Galgol (the Blue Fruits) which are harvested using the Scrapper. There's also the Fungu, which are the disk-shaped plates on the rock outside the Habitat inside the Dome. You'll need those eventually.
Fabric is used for Med Kits...
Kage, it's called a CORRIDOR Battery for a reason... ;) Also, when you go beyond the first piece of machinery, you'll probably find you need more than 1 Corridor Battery. I like to start with 3 Corridor Batteries on my Bases, to support the Basic Fabricator, the Upgrade Machine, the Tool Upgrader, and a Battery Charger. Also, construction of things IN the Machinery uses power, so you need at least a little more than the "absolute minimum". Solar Panels provide power for the Batteries, Batteries provide power for the base. It's a "capacitor based system".
Ore does reappear when you start a new session. If you Save and Quit, when you come back, things around the Starting Base will be available again, possibly in greater amounts, Galgol Fruit will reappear, as will the Fungu. Chests do NOT reappear, but I believe SOME nodes inside caves will respawn.
always check your power consumption, everything you build inside your base will take power except the floor storage boxes, make the wall mounted storage boxes as they hold more, also there are much bigger storage containers you will find blueprints for later in the game. if you explore out far enough there is a motherload of nickel floating in space in small asteroids. and for iridium it is found in the green gas that you will need to make a special suit for. Nanite is found by going thru the jump gate and exploring those regions. there is a lot to this game even with its initial launch and much more to come, you should show off the road map for the game which u can click in the game menu.
What a cool space game with all the space things you can do in space.
Kage stuff, episode 3.342: he wants to rotate a symmetrical object. 😁
Great video, I'd like to see more! 😁
This looks awesome. I love the way you build in these games. Take care JB
Great start. I hope this game stays in your rotation for now.
Loved the demo. Good to see full release. Looks great
@ 13:59 there is an icon onscreen that is grey and purple overlayed on your players hand this mean that there is something nearby that you SHOULD SCAN you are missing so much by not paying attention to your surroundings.
You missed "scanning" the battery charger in the "air dome" you first vivsited.
Reminds me of WarpedSpace and Subnautica 😲
I have been waitibg for this game for so long now it seems!
the foggyness you experienced was the transition from leaving the dome with oxygen.
Just picked this up but I'm playing Medieval Dynasty because of you so I'm torn now lol
Bring on more of this I'm loving it
You WERE rotating the base. It was a square object with limited sprite animations. And indicators that each side was expandable.
Figured you had an early key and was wondering why you haven't started this yet. I know you got a lot of games you're playing right now but you're my go to for playthroughs. I'm downloading this now, I'm actually really excited about this game and your play through.
The builder tool even looks like the builder tool from sub zero
It's funny that you didn't scan... the base! Those are scannable too.
You forgot to scan the habitat where you found the battery charger, objects also tell you where to put them like solar panels say to put on the sides and batteries on top of bottom
So disappointing that they do not use integrated storage.
It is so nice when developers figure out how to tie the storage units to the crafting instead of only using backpack storage!
Dammit I can’t have all these games coming out right before Christmas. I’ll have no money to buy the presents. I need to get.
You know what this game reminds me of? Breathedge. In fact its gameplay loop seems almost identical. It even has a scrapper arm and floating organic resources. In fact just from watching 5 minutes my first thought was a complete ripoff. That's how close they are. Anyways looks fun I loved Breathedge so maybe this will be fun too.
Breathedge is such a slog after a few hours, I'm all about games copying each other and making things better
@@abel5333 I'm not entirely against it either if it's an improvement and not a copy. It's technically a different game despite having the same kind of mechanics but then again, that's also like saying Sonic the Hedgehog is a Mario Brothers ripoff so I'm likely to give the game a try anyways. Looks interesting.
you can add an additional solar panel to one that is already made, like an extension of the previous one. instead of mounting it onto another corridor.
kage because of you, i bought the game, lets gooooooo
There is a cave underneath the shuttle that you can get some needed supplies from
What shuttle? The one where you start the game?
@@dcsobral Yes
I wouldn't call this subnautica in space I'd call this more Breathedge without the snark with a hint of subnautica
some building parts can be scanned you need to scan all three parts of the building under first dome you visited
I think you should have built your base a little further away - like you do in Planet Crafter - so you could travel base to base to top up oxygen. Not too late to do that from now on.
Im saying this while Astrometica is geting instaled on my PC - Kage what about other games that you just started making video series?
i built my starter bas more centralized. you are going to need more oxygen building near the starting point
most of the resources that float around in space does respawn
in subnautica u could use dead batterys to craft equipment which also filled them lol so multiple batterys was good idk if this works on this game but would be worth trying
I tried this earlier, it does indeed work. Might get changed later though but who knows haha.
@@zherkezhi2477 never got changed in subnautica.. i even reported it in early access below zero.. never got changed.. as theres only limited use for batterys lol
Subnautica in space is Breathedge.
You didn't scan the buildings.
You don't die. Immediately after your oxygen runs out you take damage and then die. So for a few seconds it is wasteful to use an oxygen tank.
fabric makes medkits
This game screams breathedge
exactly, blatant rip off
We need more survival games like subnautica on console as im a console player i have a gaming laptop i just never use it i prefer a home console or a handheld
You can pin the recipes, even multiple recipes.
Oh, finally I found someone pointing this out! It was driving me crazy seeing kage go back and forth to see if he had everything.
yes Plz more
I cant rember was there space monsters in this game or was the oxigen supply your sole enemy?
Reminds me of Breathedge but without the story.
So million dollar question kage, which is better? Astrometica or breathage?
You should build far.. close to everything kage..
Reminds me more about Planet Crafter instead of Subnautica ^^
how many times have you headbutt the hatch on the way in ? and yes it hurts takes chunks of your health😂😂 just bough this game
Use scrappper on the plants
This is literally just subnautica in space
Fabric is used in medkits
Is there enemy or weapon in this game? I don't want to fight a huge monster with a stupid knife again.
Strange I found subnautica boring lol but love this game 😂
Yeah, watching your thirst diminish makes me think grabbing ice might be a good idea. I mean, it's already down to 20% when you leave the area chock full of frozen water. Also, why does the 'Scrapper' look like the door locks from Alien: Isolation if it's just a hammer? LOL Your ship didn't appear to be damaged, is there some back story? I don't understand why you would need to scan things if you're in a perfectly functional base with a fabricator already there. Do they not have the internet in space? Can't you just look things up rather than stumble across random stuff that you can't build in spite of starting out in a perfectly functional base? Like your starting base is lit, it has lights. Why would you need to scan a light in order to learn to build one?
How can you make glass because it needs smelter and that won't go in starter base and you need power in built base to get smelter working catch 22
To add I watched the video to see how to get glass and what happened oh I did that off camera 😢
Aw man, game played great for about four hours and then suddenly my frame rate dropped to about 3ps. Tried reloading and it continued. Server may be getting overloaded suddenly. Hmmm, obviously unplayable in this state. Will wait a few minutes and try again.
The free demo is crap (downloaded on Dec 29). You can' t manufacture the scrapper - at least it is not an option for me to build yet. Also, you only have 60 seconds and not 100 seconds of air like you had. With the oxygen module you get up to 80 seconds and maybe an extra 35 seconds with each O2 tank you build. More importantly, after 16 hours of play, I can only find 1 piece of silver so I cant build lots of important things. Got lots of gold, iron, ice, quartz, organic, fabric, and coal, but no silver in any direction. This prevents you from building the required back pack, battery module, and much more. I've built and use 4 spare oxygen tanks. Then I went to the fullest extent one can fly with the jet pack before running out of air and dying. I just keep returning to menu and then reloading with my spare tanks and go in a diff direction until my max 220 seconds of air runs out (60 + 20 + (35x4)). Still no silver. A last few notes: 1) what is the repair tool for? I can't do anything with it - not even equip it; 2) I also cant get past the stuck door in the back of the initial emergency hab you spawn in. Why show it if you can't use it? 3) don't have the option to build the scanner tool; 4) my jetpack takes a very long time to reload - 3 - 4 times longer than your jet pack making it hardly worthwhile; and last, 5) I can't build a builder tool until I build a new hab with an airlock. Doesn't make any sense. This game seems too frustrating. Maybe I have to buy the full product to get these things to work, but this demo experience makes me doubt I want to spend this much time and frustration on an imaginary treasure hunt. I really loved Subnautica, but not this space version - at least not so far.
From the maker’s of Subnautica… oh wait, it’s a 1:1 rip-off.
A subnautica in space looks pretty boring so far. No galactic wild life floating around?
"Its very much like subnautica" well yeah. Because over 70% of the IP is copied from. They remask the assets and introduce a "new" game. This is how the chinese keep screw gamers.
it a small step for man but a giant step for a women!!!
Breathedge rip off it looks like
