It’s interesting because some of the items I love, I’ve had for over ten years and they’re still going!
I used to have a full dresser and three full hampers and clothes on the ground at all times and now that’s all in the past 😎

Your clothing really represents and looks nice on you. I think my favorite clothing item I own personally is actually my nightgown. It’s pretty and comfortable and is a welcome signal to me that I’m done with the day.
This is honestly so impressive. Clothing is where I struggle with minimalism 😅

I love the two rust coloured dresses so much! I know it's just a Target brand but I'm always seeing American RUclipsrs wear things from there that I love!

Loved this video! My wardrobe is pretty minimal but the one area I struggle is dresses for events. I tend to like to wear a new dress whenever I go to a wedding or something which results in a lot of dresses I only have worn once or twice 🙈 definitely a mindset I want to change!
Have you considered thrifting your dresses for new events and then either re-selling or re-thrifting them once no longer needed? Also there are usually local charities that collect possible prom dresses for kids in need that you could donate them to. I personally have a go-to summer dress, winter dress, and evening dress that I don't mind re-wearing

I just counted-and we have the same number of pieces! I have more bags, bottoms, and dresses, and fewer tops and shoes. 🤗 Super fun!

I love this video so much! I've noticed that it can be challenging to be minimal with wardrobe when you live in a place with extreme seasons. I'm in New England and it feels like I have to keep track of 4 different closets!

Love your style, we have a similar body type so I also gravitate towards high waist vintage jeans and shorter tops.
Seeing your items definitely inspired me and gave me some great ideas even if we wear different colours. I gravitate a lot towards blue, navy and grey (and sometimes a pop of red or yellow) and rarely wear black, brown or beige.
Since I work from home, I think I own a huge amount of pj's and leggings 😂😂. Pj's are some of my favourite items so I'm always curious to see what other people's look like. But I totally support not sharing them with the world on RUclips, it's nice and healthy to have your own personal life with some boundaries.

I just got a maxi dress from ThredUp that I can't wait to wear. I sold my old maxi to a friend (one-in-one-out). I have a minimal wardrobe as well and my black t-shirts are my work horses. I love having a small wardrobe.

I have so many clothes, i have sorted through most of them. but i still have about 250 tops. It includes sweaters, short and long sleeve shirts etc. Pants/ leggings at least 40 pairs combined, 20 coats which include all seasons,shoes/boots about 25 total, and shorts/rompers/jumpsuits around 45 total. I am trying so hard to get less clothing. I have always had lots of clothes.
I'm definitely a cardigan kind of girl LOL I'm a little lost when they're all in the wash 😅 also love dresses and skirts when the weather permits them 🌻🌼🌷

I’m a new subscriber, your wardrobe is very inspiring (that you have such a well curated one with mix and match pieces but also the types of pieces you have, I love neutrals with occasional patterns too!) my wardrobe is probably more minimal, but I wouldn’t say true minimalist because half of it I don’t wear! So I would probably do well to go through it and get rid of what I don’t truly like or doesn’t serve a purpose, and get some nicer pieces. However I think my most used piece will be my mid wash Topshop Mom jeans (and my Kanken rucksacks!) thanks for inspiring me 🙏🏻

neat!!! ouh, i like the white dress for summer, need to find one like that. ive also been creating my small capsule wardrobe and buying hippie boho dresses i can wear summer spring and colder times in canada too.defs helps to have a wardrobe you love full of timeless pieces , so good for the environment and easier to make decisions! :)
I'd like to see accessories. I'm one of those people that don't have a ton of clothes yet have more than I actually use. I'm been slowly upgrading to natural fibers, wool, alpaca, linen, etc.
I do have way too many t-shirts, but it's hard for me to get rid of them, some have sentimental value (like band/concert t-shirts) and others are just comfy and I wear as lounge or sleepwear.
I feel like my wardrobe is probably on the minimal-ish side when only looking at my everyday clothes, but because of me being a bit more into fashion, my shoes and accessories collections are a bit larger. Also, like you, I'm kind of a sucker for boots when it comes to footwear! I own 4 pairs and they all serve different purposes 😄
Urgh, I did this today.. except it wasn't even my whole wardrobe, it was only Spring/Summer!
I'm sure I have less than some people, but I certainly have more than I need.
I find i don't reach for pinks, bright colours too much... So that went, oddly my wardrobe looks a bit sad without that color! Just that is an adjustment!
I already did my Winter wardrobe.. that took longer than I expected, but I didn't want to rush too much as I got overwhelmed in the beginning!. Now the seasons changed it's time to address the other seasons clothing that I've been putting off! I replaced a few bits, but got rid of a couple of bags still.
Even after that I feel I have too much, but I'm weirdly confused by what to get rid of after the big purge.. I just have to do the same and take my time I guess. I'll get there. I think it will be good to come back to it at the end of Summer and see what I didn't reach for at all.

Once you start downsizing your wardrobe you really feel lighter. It is one of those things you cannot explain to others, but know for sure if people gave themselves the chance would love as well. BTW the clothes do not have to be boring and still be minimal.
How do you wash alpaca sweater from everlane? I bought it because of your recommendation but it shrunk after one wash 😓
I hand wash it or take it to the dry cleaners 🤍
I really enjoyed your video. And while I know that it's not about the numbers when it comes to minimalism, I really like to count and compare old inventories to the current state. This is my method of having a neutral look on changes and developments. Therefore I missed a list of all items with total numbers at the end. Would be interesting to see how balanced the different categories are etc. And I hope I'm not too curious here, but may I ask why you don't own skirts? Or is it just a coincidence?
Oh I love that! And nope, you didn’t miss any skirts. I don’t have any! Honestly, I have just always really struggled to find skirts that were flattering on my body type, so I generally avoid them. 😅
