I always knew that I would not send my kid to public school. She's 11 now and has always gone to a private school that aligns with our values. We did NOT really have enough money to afford the cost but for me it was the highest priority so we sacrificed other things to make it happen. Then in 2016 the bought-off idiots in the California legislature forced us to choose between our kid being able to go to school and our rights as parents in deciding what medical treatment she should receive. We left CA. I love the idea of home school but didn't feel it was right for us at the time. Now I see a lot more of what you guys are doing with home school groups and I think it's really cool.
