Whats your #1 revenge game?
Favre vs Green Bay.
T.O. return to philly. A renewal to the cowboys eagles rivalry in Philadelphia. Late dh. 2006. Joe and Troy commentating. Need I say more?
As a Jets fan... Jets vs Pats divisional round 2010 playoffs.. not really a revenge game in what we think of a revenge game to be (Player getting revenge against former team). but the Jets got revenge on the Pats from their previous game.
As a NFL watcher, Jon Gruden vs Raiders Superbowl win.
@@MP-yc2ou “CAN’T WAIT”
Super Bowl XVI. Bill Walsh got his pro start with Paul Brown's Bengals.
What about Chad Pennington? Released by the Jets to make room for Favre, signs with Dolphins, Miami beats Jets in Week 17 to clinch the AFC East and eliminate the Jets from the playoffs
Dude is underrated!! I loved watching him play!
You know what happened 😒 this list is full of gold jacket members
Favre was hurt
Jets were 8-3 Farve got hurt but played out the season to keep his stupid streak alive
Farve was injured
Honorable mention to Bob Lee against the Vikings in 1979. Long-time QB on the Vikings for a decade, and the Vikings cut him in unceremonious fashion, with Bud Grant not even acknowledging him, and with Grant saying that if Lee was on the team, he would've screwed up the Vikings' QB situation.
Lee signed with the Rams later that year, and against the Vikings, when Vince Ferragamo got benched, Lee threw for 161 yards in the 2nd half and posted a passer rating of 85.7 (significantly above the league-wide average), and guided the Rams to an OT victory that eliminated the Vikings from playoff contention
Jon Gruden versus the Raiders should be #1 because it came on the grandest stage of all with the ultimate prize at stake. The Super Bowl.
That’s actually the lamest since the coach that replaced him didn’t change anything
Montana vs 49ers is the best imo. And this is coming from a Patriots fan who watched last nights game
This is a man with no ego
Yes
Montana the previous GOAT
Brady has now officially beaten every nfl team with last night's win
You totally left off Marcus Allen vs my Raiders basically from 1993 to 1995 and I appreciate you for that Throwback. Marcus had 17 for 85 and a TD as the Chefs beat us without Montana in '93, 33 for 132 in the winner goes to the playoffs/last game in LA for the Raiders 1994 season finale, and a 21 for 124 and a TD performance in the '95 win in Oakland (part of the Raiders six straight L's to end that first season back...an omen). The kicker is...all three of those games were in LA or Oakland. Raider turf. Dude literally saved himself for those Raider games and took the last 4 years of his time in LA out on Al and us.
Us philly fans loved T.O. when he was in philly, but when he went to Dallas it truly broke my heart and i never forgave him after that.
Nigga y’all got rid of him 😂😂 how is that his fault
You do know Cunningham and Akers played for Dallas too, right?
@@alexdeghost2729 yeah but it isn't just that, T.O. disrespected our staff before he left for Dallas.
Brady v Belichick being no.1 has more to do so with storyline/narrative than the actual game
How many other quarterbacks can put up 19 points on the patriots???? Guess YOU can’t appreciate greatness!!! Sad…
@@notyouraveragetomato3094 chill
@@notyouraveragetomato3094 Your jaw hurt? 😂
No shit, that's what makes it a good revenge game
I think Desean Jackson playing against the Eagles with Washington could be an honorable mention.
He even mocked them with the fly Eagles fly celebration after scoring a touchdown!
I guess by that same token mcnabb returning to philly should be there
As a Washington fan, I can see how this is a mention. But T.O. going to Dallas is straight disrespectful, he also mocked the Eagles. I had the luxury of always hating him 😂🤣 (except when he was in San Fran, dancing on the star).
Seem like a lot of the good revenge games are scheduled for week 4. Anyone else notice that even Paul brown back in 1970 😳
For me it’s Brady vs Belichick. I wasn’t old enough to remember Young vs Montana though I know how huge that was at the time.
Marcus Allen vs the Raiders should be here. The disdain between him and Al Davis was legendary that he actually chose to play for a division rival just to spite the man and boy did he ever prove Davis wrong!
Imagine someone told you 5 years ago Tom Brady would play a revenge game in Foxborough against the Patriots 🤯
Brady vs Belichick was clearly the best after what I saw last night
If Brady had like 3 TDs, I would definitely put the Brady return to New England as number 1.
My number 1 revenge game would happen to be the Patriots Chargers in the 2006 AFC Divisional Game. Reason for that was because of the late Marty Schottenheimer and the Chargers the year before who whooped the Patriots in their home stadium said the Patriots were done.
That Randy Moss one was just insane.
Why did you put manning vs colts in the title but just not include that
Moss went to the right team. He had a HOF WR and great offensive coach to learn from.
So did the cowboys and would’ve won a Super Bowl with them. Vikings have suffered more heartbreak since the 98 NFC championship.
We needed this before yesterday’s game. Thanks nonetheless!
Honorable mention to Jim Everett as Chargers starter against the Ditka coached Saints in ‘97. Everett was cut for Heath Shuler and was told (by Ditka) that he was being cut by phone while he was driving from SoCal to New Orleans. The look to Ditka on the Saints sideline after Jim threw the game winner to TE Freddie Jones was EPIC!!!
Thanks for doing this, I really enjoyed it. Thought Montana/Young would be #1. Like someone else mentioned I think you should have had Marcus Allen against the Raiders on the list somewhere. Otherwise this was pretty good. Keep pumping the nostalgia fuel boss. Cheers.
An honorable mention would be Dan Marino finally getting a rematch against Montana in the 1994 Wild Card game against Kansas City. They had last played in the 1984 Super Bowl. It was also the last game of Montana's career.
Literally Brady took revenge on every team that skipped him
I was on acid watching that pats game 🤣
We had to remake this video just because Tom Brady put up a historical 19 points and started blowing into the air so nick folk would miss his kick
And playing like a shit and win, the brady carrer in a nutshell, play like a dog shit and lets make a defense line save your ass.
Cant believe y’all l left off Peyton Manning’s return to Indy and him beating the Colts that same year in the playoffs
First he didn’t play the colts in the playoffs that year. 2012 they lost to Ravens. Also I think it’s hard to call it revenge when he was let go after a near career ending neck surgery. Peyton never had any bad will with the colts
@@jrad410 2014 season
Peyton Manning lost to the Colts in the 2014 Divisional, but beat them in Week 1 earlier that year; both games in Denver. He was 0-2 in Indy as Broncos QB.
Cedric Benson vs Bears in 2009.
189 rushing yards.
Career high and most rushing yards vs a former team in NFL history.
Was he a legend tho?
@@nelsonbohanon2190 That makes absolutely no difference.
The revenge would have been if the Bears had won. Cedric was a lazy fuck in Chicago. He showed no heart so he deserved to be cut.
An honorable mention goes to a couple of 2005 games with two former coaches who had been unfairly fired by Dan Snyder. Norv Turner and Marty Shottenheimer were the first two head coaches in the now infamous Snyder regime in Washington. Both were fired in rather humiliating ways. Turner was fired from the Redskins in 2000 with three games left when they still had a winning record and in playoff contention while Shottenheimer was fired after 2001 when after just one season he turned around an 0-5 start to an 8-8 finish, that was done because Snyder was unwilling to let Marty have fun control of the organzation which he promised when he hired him the previous offseason. Well in 2005, both coaches got revenge on Snyder and the Redskins in back to back weeks. Turner, who coached the Raiders in 2005, got a 16-13 win in week 11. And the following week in Shottenheimer and his Chargers got an overtime win. Both games were in Washington.
Cowboys vs Demarco Murray is my personal favorite… held him to like 2 yards or something crazy like that 😂
BRETT FAVRE ON VIKINGS WAS AWESOME!!!
To everyone except the Packers
It always good to see Revenge games
And then Deion gave him the hands. What. A. Legend.
I know lots of general nfl fans probably don’t care but as a ravens fan last years wild card victory over the titans was an amazing revenge game for us
Can we talk about how clean that jump was on 6:08?
Tom Brady Is My Favorite Quarterback NFL Throwback.
Great Job!
Brady vs Pats are the best Imo.
Best believe I started Steve Smith against Carolina that year lol
Steve Young did not have the last laugh on Joe Montana. Montana had been there done that 4 different times 😂 I’m a cowboys fan.
Great timing
How is Brady vs pats a “revenge game” he chose to leave in free agency, he wasn’t cut or traded like Montana
I Would Not Call It a Revenge Game Either As a Eagles Fan!
Literally for the narrative, it wasn’t revenge it was a happy ending between both teams as the Patriots are well on their way to dominance and the Buccs are looking rough imo
@@iProphetGG True and Can U Imagine a Super Bowl Between New England and Tampa Bay?
@@vinceniederman A SB between these two teams the Pats win the way both teams are playing rn. If Lombardi Lenny plays then maybe the buccs win, but otherwise I think the Pats would take it.
@@vinceniederman On a side note I would hate that for Mac Jones, he needs to lose in the playoffs for both development and so if he fails to reach a SB next year he isn’t bashed on, which ig is still development
Yesterday’s Bucs-Patriots game was the most boring revenge game I ever seen!
At least it was close. Give me boring and close over an exciting blowout.
It wasn't revenge though.
I mean the Pats are a boring team soooo
@@Speedyreedy1218 you serious?!
Not really boring. It was overhyped by the media which caused our expectation to be high, but it ended up being a bit boring because of our expectation being high, as aforementioned
For me, the top revenge game was the 2002/2003 NFC championship game where the Buccaneers went against the Eagles for the 3rd time to win, and use the very last game played at Veteran's Stadium to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl.
Baring that, the other game would be a meeting of the Bucs vs. the St. Louis Rams in 2000, where they whomped them to get payback for the "Botch Bowl" in the 1999 NFC Championship (where a bad ref call stole the Bucs' chances of going to the Super Bowl that year).
McNab playing against the eagles and desean Jackson versus every team he's played for lol
Say what you want. Had Montana still been the 9ers QB in the Early 90s. They certainly would've won some of those conference championships they lost.
Art Modell is hopefully on fire right now.
I’m suprised Terrell Owens isn’t on every single slot
Paul Brown is a savage:
He gets let go by Art Modell and then decides to create another team and become its head coach AND GM AND use the same colors as his old team to stick it to the original team that was named after him 💀💀.
I would have included Super Bowl XVI, Bill Walsh's revenge over Paul Brown and the Bengals organization.
Same Thing Since Cincinnati Passed On Bill Before He Went To San Francisco!
@@vinceniederman Brown actually tried to torpedo Walsh's coaching chances with other teams.
@@jtdavis62 Wow That’s Crazy About Paul Brown!
Stafford vs lions the road to the super bowl was anazing
Steve Smith Sr make sure the Panthers made a BIG mistake cutting him. After the that game with the Ravens!!!
Favre vs the Packers is too high. Had he retired after 2009 I’d agree with the spot. But he came back in 2010 and got beat badly twice by them. So the Packers got the last laugh.
Not really. The spot is fitting where he’s at
I mean, Favre and the Packers are cool now, so the only last laugh is both parties laughing it off.
@@Buttington_Headerson Rodgers Vs Favre
i would really call tom bradys revenge game a revenge game, mainly because he was the one that wanted to go to another team and experience free agency
He wanted to leave because Belichick was pushing him out the door, long before that.
Deandre Hopkins and JJ Watt are gonna be on this list one day.
So where was manning vs colts it was in the title for click bait 😂
Yeah wtf I was skimming it looking for it
I liked the 2003 Bills vs Patriots (Bookend Games), Wk 1 The Bills absolutely Destroyed and Embarrassed the Patriots 31-0...Wk 17 The Patriots returned the favor to The Bills 31-0 perserving the shutout with an interception in the endzone!!! That was fun...Well the second one was fun, that first one had me Cussing like a Drunken Sailor!!!
Coming soon: Aaron Rodgers eventful return to Lambeau field
You mean Rodgers vs McCarthy this year
Agree .... This will probably be Rodgers last year with G.B. , especially if they don't have a successful year. Although I do believe that they can make it to the playoffs , but I'm not really sold on a super bowl push.
If Aaron Rodgers goes to the Giants next year, he'll get a chance to face the Packers.
Send him to Minnesota
@@TheMuss919 they wouldn't want him in Minnesota. He's old and only has a little bit left in his career . Plus he's been their #1 rival for years
Greatest Revenge Game In NFL History Los Angeles Rams Beat Los Angeles Raiders In 1988 🏈☺
Honestly, I watched that Brady vs Belichick Brady was flat outplayed by a rookie QB. I always say the worst job in the NFL is being the kicker. If it wasn't for a missed field goal, Belichick wins that one and that spoke volumes to me. With six rings, Brady went home and got outplayed by a rookie QB. That it's at #1 not a shocker. Brady claiming another victory, despite the facts, also not a shocker.
As a Pats fan, I think personally we should have won the Brady belichick game. Not necessarily because I am early, but I truly believe that Mac played better than Brady in that particular game
Salty
Number 4
😊😢😁
Priceless
Y so serious 😈🃏🥃
Honorable mention: Carson Palmer returning to Cincinnati but lose to the Bengals
No Peyton manning return to Indy??
Having Brady on this list makes sense. One,, he has this pitch for vengeance, and really, BB deserved it! Packers, regarding Favre, also. Not mentioned of course, but I love the fact that Tannehill clobbered the Dolphins in 2021 ( I know, I know...it was all on Derrick Henry...right.)
Don't forget Washington getting revenge against Philly for the Body Game in 1990 by beating them in the playoffs that same season.
#1 is Not a Revenge Game and Tom Played a Little Off That Night Vs New England!
Matthew 6:33 but seek ye first the kingdom of God
Failed to mention the Packers smoking Favre twice in 2010 on our way to a super bowl victory.
Rodgers Beat Favre
Dallas definitely Got Mossed!!!
Montana vs the 49ers is the best
Man I figured Peyton manning vs the colts would be on the list
so Marcus Allen vs Al Davis died smh disgraceful????
2 years in the making
?
Just imagine if inside of the Vikings farve signed with the bears instead oh that would of been an interesting one
Deion Sanders vs Falcons!
so I take it this was made #1 before the game?
Largent and harden
Tom Brady vs Patriots was not a revenge game lmao. No real Patriots fan or even Belichick dislike Tom Brady and the fans literally game him a standing ovation when he returned.
This was interesting..............
Proverbs 29:8
Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.
Manning vs Indy?
Will never forgive the Panthers for releasing Smitty! 13 years old finding out that sports is a business for the first time.💔
And here I thought it was going to be Ryan Fitzpatrick's top 10 revenge games tru out his career 😂
Y so serious 😈🃏🥃
Jake Browning vs Vikings 2023
What about Rex Ryan vs the Jets? 🤣🤣
#1 should've deff been 4s revenge vs GB
Didn't Montana's Chiefs play(and beat) Young's 49'ers in 1993 also?
They didn’t play in 1993
@@ChiefBlue4298 Ahh my bad.
@@GregzVR it’s alright
Fun fact billl ttill has more rings
Rison and Sanders would be ejected today for that slap fight.
When the Cowboys won't draft you because of drama that's when you know it's bad
lol we held Randy Moss to only 3 catches!! But you gave up three touchdowns and 163 yards. SHusH he had only 3 catches
Let's be real about Owen's Vs. Eagles... he was playing for Dallas who had that shitbum Drew Bledsoe at qb. Trust me, I'm a Patriots fan, we all wanted Drew out of NE when Brady took over. He sucks.
Rip gruden
No mention of Peyton Manning vs Colts? Big fail
John 6:35
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
#1 is Montana Vs the 49ers, come on lol
Brady vs belicheck isn't a revenge games as Brady left the Patriots On Good Terms Brady left on his own terms
Pats Bucs SB. Pats win!!
Yep but then Brett Favre threw that interception and the Vikings lose out again. And then the last Packer Viking game for Favre was when he got his ass beaten both on the field and on the scoreboard 🤣
I think the Packers true revenge against Favre was winning the Super Bowl in 2010
Pronounced Terrell wrong
