Hey guys I see you running handheld radios on hunts, any recommendations for brand or type and what kind of range you getting? my dad getting older and looking for something to communicate with in the woods. Thanks and way to stick with it
Ryan thanks for watching! We do use radios to communicate when they are allowed. Most of the time its just the GMRS/FRS (UHF) channels. Lots of options on Amazon. Most of the advertised "distances" that the claim are drastically reduced when you get in the mountains. On a good day they reach a mile. InReach is another great option when you need to communicate farther and phones dont work.

Thanks John! Sometimes the wind can really help with that noisy brush and rocks, some time it kills you.
