    Happy Thanksgiving. Terrific video and fantastic time spent with your son. I am so grateful that I was there when both my boys shot their first whitetail. Many thanks to our spouses who allow us to spend this time together with our kids. Great video and an even better message. Thank you.

    Great video Randy. Your hunts really appeal to the average hunter and I really appreciate the realness. My question is was this in a limited draw area, or gen elk tag?

    • @Fresh_Tracks

      This was a limited draw area. Thanks for watching. Glad you like what we produce.

    Hello Randy I really love your videos man there awesome!! but I haven’t seen anything new lately Other than the info on how to apply for other states was wondering if I missed something or if I need to go somewhere else to watch them??

    • @Fresh_Tracks
      @Fresh_Tracks  6 лет назад +1

      That is because winter/spring is application season for those who hunt the west. We have been on the road the last three weeks. Just loaded a WY whitetail hunt today. More hunts to come, but this time of year is when we do a lot of instructional videos. Thanks for watching.

    Randy, I know you take guest hunters (normally people you know), but do you ever take others with to show them? I love hunting, but honestly I am not good at reading new areas. Any pointers you can give? What about areas when the public land is sparse and heavily pressured? I'm from Northern MN so am used to whitetail, and I love stalking especially in the snow. The Marine Corps brought me to VA where I have stayed since I got out but I've found hunting here challenging. Your video's have inspired me to hunt some of the mountains out here, but its difficult since VA doesn't allow Sunday hunting on public lands. Any advice / pointers you can give would be greatly appreciated.
    PS sorry for the book :D

    • @Fresh_Tracks
      @Fresh_Tracks  7 лет назад +2

      I do not take others. I get the request many, many times. Just not practical. Thanks for your service. The best place to start would be our forum, www.HuntTalk.com. Lots of advice and good people willing to share on that forum.

    Randy, Is it easier for a non resident to get drawn for a limited hunt in the Custer national forest on a bow hunt? I actually met a local in the airport that told me about this area and came across your video researching it. Three of us would like to put in this year for this area and I don't want the bad experience I had with an outfitter in northeastern Montana this past season.

    • @Fresh_Tracks
      @Fresh_Tracks  7 лет назад +1

      Yes, the limited entry bow hunt is much easier to draw than the rifle hunt. Good luck.

    Randy what type off rifle caliber you used? I love your videos . I want to do this to but never done it I don't know where to start.

      This was a .300 Win Mag. I use Howa rifles.

    Randy, with all the great equipment you have, you need a better axe, a classic old school hunters axe or forest axe. Carry on ( I'll watch the rest of the video now.)
