What is a MOBA?
Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas, or MOBAs for short, originated as a sub-genre of the RTS (Real-Time Strategy) genre. Because of this, in most MOBA games, the player takes control of a single character from the isometric (top-down) view akin to most RTS games. Typically, in MOBA games, a player takes control of a single character on one of two teams. Those players choose characters that all have their own abilities, or “kits”. To win, the players must use a combination of abilities, teamwork, and strategy to not only best their opponent, but destroy the opponents main structures. A bonus to the genre is that most MOBAs are free games, which is definitely a contributing factor of the their massive success. The genre has many titles, the largest of which being Defense of the Ancients (DoTA) and DoTA 2, League of Legends (LoL), and most recently SMITE!
What is SMITE?
SMITE is one of the more recent free MOBA games to enter the fray. In SMITE you don’t just choose a character, you choose a god. You’ll instantly feel an attachment to characters like Thor and Zeus because even if you don’t know the lore behind them, you’ve at least heard their names before! What makes SMITE so immersive is Hi-Rez Studios’ inclusion of historical lore into the gods’ abilities, kits, and play styles. Thor and Loki aren’t just characters from Marvel comics and movies. They’re also a part of Norse mythology and you can take control of them in SMITE!
What makes SMITE different?
SMITE takes all of the strategy of the top MOBA games and adds another layer of difficulty by putting you into the action! Unlike most MOBA games, SMITE offers players the chance to experience the MOBA genre they know and love from a third-person perspective. This unique perspective allows for an extremely immersive experience unlike any other game in the genre. While this doesn’t sound like such a big change, once you play it you’ll understand! All of these things added together is what has gaming websites everywhere continually rating SMITE as one of the best MOBA games available!

It really is because he desired a higher position than the god of storms and seeing his siblings get higher up than him drove him into a jealous rage, befitting of his title. Unfortunately, that brought Amaterasu into hiding, and he had to repent for it, so yeah he did bring it upon himself for being jealous and greedy.

Looking back at Susano'o's lore, I'm pretty sure you took some artistic licenses there. In the original story, he offers his aid in return for Kushinada-hime, their final daughter's hand in marriage. He then turns her into a comb and hides her in his hair and has her parents prepare "eightfold sake" and place it in eight containers, each separate from the others behind their own gate (I remember something about a fence or wall, but I can't put my finger on the detail at the moment). Yamata no Orochi came for their final daughter and drank the sake. The sake made each head drunk and fall asleep. There was no trap so much as he put them to sleep before performing a coup-de-grace (pardon my French). Also, the father of Kushinada-hime was an Earthly Deity. Your version makes him out as more of a hero than he is stated in myth and legend to be. Still, it's a character in a game, so I guess Artistic License gives you the right to change a few details.

Dork Flum I know why they do it, but at the same time, I feel that they don't need to. Remember that these religions were worshiped (and indeed, still are worshiped) for millenia. There are reasons these gods and goddesses were held in reverie already, so they should not have to change the elements of their myths so heavily to make enjoyable characters. And besides, changing it from using sake to put the heads asleep and then deliver a finishing blow - a more painless death - to catching them while they drank and slaying them then, while they could still feel it and saw it coming...doesn't that sound more cruel than the original? If anything, I'd say their version of Susanoo's lore is even less redeemable with that in mind.
It might sound more cruel but there's a mental stigma a lot of people have for killing your enemy in their sleep. It's the fact in this version that orochi was in a position to see it coming and potentially react and defend itself that it is considered less cowardly and negative.
In reality it's not but in the world of fiction nothing makes a character look worse than resorting to killing an enemy in their sleep.
I suppose you have a point. I still feel that it is less cruel to put the enemy to sleep with something that also numbs their sense of pain, thus meaning they do not have to suffer, but that may just be me over-analyzing it.
His passive is a basically Ra's, increase speed when use an ability

Remember when everyone was excited about this high skill cap character? And remember when everyone gradually realized autocancelling with him isn’t necessary after they changed how hydras worked? Tragic.

Flames of Diaster Solaris Yup! Its what the abilities names in the naruto series are based on, In fact the father of the those 3 is named Izanagi and his sister Izanami. If I recall thats one of the abilities Itachi used on kabuto :)
So basically:
1 is a Wild Storm/Berserker Barrage/Nemesis Dash that can be used to auto attack cancel.
2 is upgraded Nemesis 2
3 is Hun Batz teleport
4 is a circular Kukulkan Ultimate.
And on top of all of his mobility (dash, teleport) and disruption, he gets additional movespeed as a passive after he dumps his kit...
WHY?!?! He has some of the best aspects of other gods kits without any of their downsides. Hi-Rez keeps forgetting gods with mobility and CC don't need more mobility and CC. Was Serquet (jump/dash, madness/stun/throw) not enough of a lesson for you?
Just because a God has a new playstyle does not mean they're OP. It's all about understanding how they work and how to counter them. If there are problems then hi-res will nerf or buff them.

Susanoo should've had the ability turn someone into a comb, then wear them as he put on their clothes. Either that, or he should've had an intoxicate ability. Much more interesting parts of his lore.
Also, there better be a cross-dessing skin for him at some point, after all it's in his lore.

I find it odd the lady in the video pronounces Susano-o properly but they write is as Susano in the video everywhere.
Can we discuss how the person showing off always instantly used his third storm kata strike, then walked back into melee range? Why dash off if you don't want to be away from someone? They also never said if we can use abilities between storm katas or just auto attack.

+NekoJubei I think the god after Fafnir is the guardian. Being developed by Ajax, I think Tsukuyomi is the next guardian, who is Japanese.

While it is boring to watch a ymir stun, wall, and aoe go to waste, it is soooo satisfying to watch your blink stun be used properly and whiping out the entire enemy team. You feel like 'yeah, I did that, they couldn;'t have done that without me'. For instance, an Ares pull that gets more than two people makes you fistpump the air haha
But if your team is bad, you'll be generally just kinda managing people, then dying, and wondering why with three people focusing you, why your team wasn't engaging.
