Between what you demonstrated and the effects not used in the game you've shown, seems like Friede Phase 3 was a repackage of what they had in mind for the Princes. Cool to see.
I guess we wiil never know what Yorshka was supposed to do, but her role in retail was underwhelming. Thank you for all these vids, it was really interesting journey)
The saddest part is that in DS1, Priscilla was going to have a more important role in the story, probably similar to the maiden in black in DeS. Yorshka might have been an attempt to redo that scrapped concept, only to be scrapped again.
Maybe Yorshka was like Gael in Ringed city where she point the player the way forward? Or Yorshka might have been an invinsible NPC that talks to you through out the grand archives? And those spot are the trigger spots and those are just placeholders.
It's obvious the epitaphs played some pivotal role in achieving some hidden secret, beyond the lore it seems praying at each one would have triggered the move to Dragon's bridge which makes me think the figure they are referencing is Nameless king, or whoever he was in prior versions of the story Perhaps you had to change the time of day via Archdragon's peak (or whatever was after it) to start the eclipse, which would activate the 3rd phase of the Twins, as it seems that "examine" event you had started a 3rd phase, that was simply completely broken (or unfinished as it were) perhaps if the right circumstances are right that event triggers automatically and is simply a player activated one because it was never changed.
Thanks so much for making this series, it was really entertaining to watch how ds3 was planned to be in this point of development. Can't wait to see the next video
I think a way to fix the problem with twin princes deleted phase 3 is to just place a copy of lothric head in lorian sticking out and cover them in Aldrich's goo and just recolor Lorians sword from Orange to Purple
Hey, not only do I have a praise for the wonderful series you created, but questions as well. I used to love daydreaming what was supposed to be Ds3 after learning what was cut from /dsg/ threads. Thank you for the insight. My questions are: Why do you not have the gamescon version? (is it impossible to get a hands on, too rare, or cost a lot of money?)/ I understand that you are implementing the alpha enemies to their location for the mod, but all the missing map, do you plan on restoring those as well?/ and lastly, kinda hesitant to ask but its been on my mind, if this is the last Back to Alpha, how far along is the mod to completion/ alpha release (if any)? Do you have dates in mind and if not, a percentage at least?
I don't have the gamescom build for the fact that whoever has that version doesn't want to share it with me, these things you don't buy, you literally receive from someone, Fromsoftware and Bandai don't give a shit who has these things, but they would be extremely useful to edit a lot of ingame stuff, apart from rebuilding and bringing back to retail many mechanics cut. About maps I think only Gods Grave is a problem, I could rebuild the whole map 1:1, but no without this build, I have to have the assets that are inside the gamescom to know the minimum possible dimensions of the map, the map is a complete void because there is no asset in retail, in NT there are 3 assets, it is difficult to work this way and deliver something to the community, what I could do is use some existing map for Gods Grave, but it is not the best idea. Well as I have been focusing in remaking from scratch all the lighting, let's say that I must have reached 80% of it, this is the hard part because there are hundreds of fine adjustments, putting things in map is easy as objects and assets, once I finish this I will be able to think in an Alpha. I already talked to my bosses, and they will help me test some things, until the end of the year I plan to at least present a map for them to test.
@@abyss1ne17 Holy hell you mad lad 😂 BEST OF LUCK TO YOU! As for the gamescon, im not sure if youve exhausted all options but I hope youre onto something for acquiring it. Never knew slugs were supposed to have arms. Im completely sold and will be a patron once i get my self together. Thanks for the wonderful content
@@AnonymouslyBlack It would be wonderful to have that, so many things would be possible to be remade, hahahhh, the slugs would have a lot of arms as well as many other enemies.
Awesome video as always. I wonder what were those slugs about? There were a lot of them in the Archieves, they had these hands and there was even a version that burst onto a pile of hollows or something like that.
10:33 I'm not so sure that makes more sense. How could the pilgrims have gotten past the Dancer, let alone climbed the ladder, or the other ladders in the Grand Archives? I could maybe see a pile of corpses of pilgrims outside the Grand Archives entrance with some still alive pilgrims wandering around, but any further than that might be silly. I like the greater presence of winged knights, but black knights deciding to protect Lothric of their own volition and existing next to the gargoyles and the Bloodborne enemies feels a little weird. The series is really over? I'll miss this. I'll be on the look out for Project Eclipse or whatever else you upload man.
there was a staircase made of stone and very wide in that room, this exists in the gamescom, it was not that staircase that you automatically receive the Basin of Vows and put this. Dark Souls 3 was created to close the series, to be the last, but after some interviews they started to say that it was a new future, probably people at Bandai didn't like that they killed this golden goose and a lot changed in the development.
It's cool seeing the maps this way and what it once was. It's weird that Yorhska is just around a lot (I guess there's only one thing to do. Stick her on Pricilla's rig and make her a boss fight /s),. Wish someone could get you that gamescon version of DS3. If I can ask, why would someone have it anyways? (idk what a "gamescon" version is, like a beta or alpha that some people got?)
the version presented at the Gamescom is a beta version of Dark Souls 3 that can have High wall or Highwall and undead settlement and numerous assets from the development period, they leave these versions only the maps for the public test, but they also left numerous assets very useful. Why would anyone have it? Probably someone copied it from the pcs during gamescom 2015, who did it I have no idea, but there are people with it, it would be very useful to me the assets.
Great video as per usual man I'm super excited For this project. Let's say you released this project and some time later the gamescom build came out, would you go back through this series/incorporate it into your mod? Do you have any idea what yorshkas original role might have been? Seems odd that this character who is tied to a chair in a random spot in irithyll is in the castle with a walk path...
Yeah, Yorshkka need a revamp, it's something that deserves to be changed. I'll be producing and at the same time in parallel planning alternatives, I still plan to find Gods Grave assets first, I really need the gamescom build.
I'm not exactly going to use Firelink Shrine, that was one of the countless crazy prototypes they came up with, probably involving time travel, I'm going to create the Dreg Heap that was leaked in screenshots years ago by TheKnow, that game has to have an end to the series. =]

This makes sense too since you can fuse their souls for a unique weapon
