I have just binge watched your garden railway series after you mentioned it in your latest New Junction video. It looks like a lot of fun. I will definitely keep an eye out for your next garden railway video.
Firstly congratulations on the new born, you'll be great parents. Great to see the garden railway progress so much in such a short time, love that 37 😍. Looking forward to seeing new junction back up and running in the garage. Great video as ever, look forward to the next one. Keep up the great work as ever and see you on your next video Cheers James
Absolutely awesome video Richard loved every minute of it. The railway is coming along nicely and I love those new building u had made , very realistic!! Congratulations on your new addition
Brilliant Richard. First of congrats on the new born you will be a fantastic Dad. Great to see the railway again and some trains running on it. Automation that's going to be pretty fun. The station is coming together nicely and 00neal has done a fantastic job on those buildings and that station building is Amazing!. Can't wit to see new New Junction being built that's exciting!. - Nicholas.
Hey RIchard! Great to see what is going on at home... besides weddings and additions to the family. :D Awesome view of a Garden layout and nice additions for the station.
Congratulations on the birth of your child Richard. I know my friend will be looking into that DCC Concepts control system, he seems to want his railway to look after itself while he goes to the pub. and as for me, well, I love Lulu. Regards, David.
Looking great 🤞 we don’t get any bird poo on it and 🤞 nothing to bad has happend to it from the storm but must not complain the garden railway looks fab
Blimey Rich, I was beginning to wonder if Lulu had accidentally buried you in the garden and forgotten about you 😜 Great to see some progress and always interesting to see maintenance in progress on a garden set up! That solder paste looks rather interesting I must say 🤔 The station building is awesome, but I can’t help think it would be better on an over bridge as it is quite deep (a bit like a Great Central station with an island platform) 🤷🏻♂️ That shuttle is a great idea too…another reason to lure me into the dark side of DCC…eventually… 😅 Cheers mate, give Lulu a treat from us! 👍🍀 🖤
The hobby is moving on at pace, as is your garden railway. Excellent camera footage and editing. You have a lovely manner and superb presentation skills. I real pleasure to watch - thank you for sharing.
Great video sir! The 'O Gauge' garden railway is coming on a treat. The 3D Resin-printed station building is fantastic. Wizard work and hats off to OO Neal for the finish. All the best with the Garden Railway! Congratulations on your New addition and I hope all is well. Best wishes to you and yours, sir. Cheers!
How cool is it to have access to a shop like DCC concepts! I live in one of the top 10 metro areas in the U.S. and my city does not have a single hobby store anywhere in the city anymore, not even one of the bad chain stores. I have to drive hours to get to the nearest reasonable hobby store. It's also nice to see someone taking masks and distancing seriously, thanks showing that.
What a week for updates. Dean park, everard junction and now new junction. Congratulations on new junction jnr👏🏻👏🏻 gardens coming along nicely. Looking forward to the 00 gsuge update next.
Congratulations on the new addition to the family. You could buy or make a small jig to hold the wire in place. I have seen them for sale online. The first one i saw reminded me of a fly tying stand for fishing. I can imagine a small tool tray with feet to keep it off the track. Inside the tray you could mount an iron holder next to articulated arms with clips to hold both ends of the wire in place. I think that would speed up the process quite a bit. Very nice yard and beautiful dog.
First of all, congratulations on the new born. Secondly excellent video and progress is coming on well. Thirdly I did send a request/message to you on FB. Take care for now. Anita. XX
The garden railway is coming along nicely. Those buildings that OONeal has made for you look great. I have a 3d printer now and it has printed a load of new models and accessories for me to paint. I am look for a DC shuttle unit for my branchline so that i can run trains and not worry about the branch apart from where it crosses the main lines. Good luck with the rest of the garden layout. Martin. (Thailand)
This is the same method of wiring that I've employed, although I tin both the wire and the rail with standard wire solder before soldering the two together. I did this back in june I think, although I use droppers through the ends of the boards where there's a lifting section, using RCA plugs to connect the lifting section wiring to the main track wiring. I haven't yet pinned any of my track down yet, aside from the first lifting section and the bits immediately either side of it. And of course I'll have to wait for warmer weather to make sure the gaps are correct, don't want buckled rails as soon as spring hits. After seeing this was uploaded last night, I actually went out and ran my 0 gauge today. I tried my dapol 57xx, but one crankpin was missing, so that's sidelined yet again (it's my newest of the 3 locos I have, and have barely run it more than simply running in). I ran my 08 with my latest wagons (2 parkside 21t hoppers, a parkside GWR van wagon, and a dapol 14t tanker), then loaded up all of my wagons behind it to see how well it works. It hauls them well going forwards, but in reverse I get loads of derailments. Note to self, don't run such long rakes until the whole thing is a loop...
Awesome video Richard garden railway looks absolutely fantastic looking forward to seeing your next one. Hope you and the wife and the new arrival are all well. Was nice to meet you again at the gets weekend 👍. Now when is the new oo gauge new junction going to be shown and shared with your fellow RUclipsrs and Facebook group members.

Hi Richard great that your progressing so well with the layout, just a little tip i have found useful try putting some solder on to rail first then melt your jumper wire into the solder on the track. Can;t wait for your next update Regards Alan

Hi Richard, nice work, you raise some good points. Also you might want to spray WD40 on the fishplates as they will wear out prematurely with current through them. WD40 helps maintain a sliding expansion gap too. Best practice for DCC dictates a BUS with droppers, but in the garden, even if sleeved with brass tubes and, prior treatment of wood preservative etc, drilling holes in the wooden board's ain't great. Thus jumpers are the next best thing - the debate re stranded or solid wire etc still rages. If using jumpers then stay alive decoders and meticulous track cleaning is required as nickel silver, over a distance and over time isn't the best conductor, it can be done though as long as one is careful re voltage drop etc. Or one can plump for RC instead 🤔🤔🤔😉😉😉👍 Lovely and huge garden, you could get a lot of railway in there!👍👍👍😊😊😊😆😆 Interesting about the shuttle too - DCCC are very good at uptaking such facilities, others less so. How will you be operating the head shunt on dcc? All the videos Iv seen on block sections dont explain the coaches/wagons occuping the station block section when it comes to backing back onto the front of the train. As far as I can tell the section would be occupied so the dcc wont allow a locomotive to re enter the section having changed ends.

Does it not bother you that you don’t have a continuous loop? Or is that intentional?
This has been a really inspiring and excellently produced series of videos! I’m in the process of starting a g scale garden layout and this has really spurred me on!
A full loop would be better but beggers can't be choosers 😁

Making babies! Tsk, never mind your subscribers, eh.😅 Only joking - many congratulations and I hope you’re all doing well.🙂👍🏻 Nice to see a new update regarding the garden railway, of which it’s all coming along nicely. Here’s to the next one (when you’re not changing nappies). All the best.
Nappies are a lot easier than making videos haha
@@NewJunction Of that I have no doubt.😁Your time and hard work is appreciated Richard.👍🏻
