Doc and ilmango are amazing, but tangoTek is on another lever when it comes to decked out 1 and 2. He also needs to integrate hidden redstone, as it would ruin the atmosphere inside the game. I'm hoping to start a yt channel soon, do you have any ideas/tips and tricks for starting out? Love the content Sodio!
Glad you started the video saying what you did. Because the “Best Redstoner” question is one I saw a video about on Purplers channel. I think he did it well. But ultimately his answer was that there was no answer. There is no single Redstoner alive who is the best in every category of redstone. The best slimestoner (Pingu) is not the best door maker. But showcasing based on how they make their videos and how good they are is something else and something pretty great.
When it comes to talented members of the Minecraft technical community, one could honestly go on forever. There are so many that this video didn't mention too, like Purplers, CraftyMasterman _-(sigh-_- I'll mention him too I guess)- most of the Minecraft prison community (They're nearly unmatched when it comes to developing extremely unique tech and just breaking the game in general), basically everybody who's working on computing in Minecraft...
Honestly was curious if there were any I hadn't heard of before/wasn't subscribed to, and this definitely is a solid list. I did know all, but good to hear about those that are less active now, but still influential.
One Redstoner that isn't this legendary but I would still consider to be on this level is TheJoCraft, a German contributor to Redstone. He is fairly active on RUclips and hasn't just a great understanding of Redstone but also Datapacks, Texturepacks, commands and even building. One of his inventions I have not seen anywhere but I consider to be very useful is what he calls a CIMS, and its predecessors the DMS and IMS. CIMS is short for Circulares Item-Management-System or Circular Item Management System. It uses water on ice that can bring items to a location completely automatically. He uses this System in his Redstone World 2.0 where he uses this to connect his vast array of automatic farms and whatever. Its predecessors use Minecarts instead, and he used it in his Redstone World 1.0 (then known as DMS, Digitales Minecart-System or Digital Minecart System), Redstone Bunker and Redstone Cruiser (IMS, Intelligentes Minecart-System or Intelligent Minecart System) He has a vast understanding of redstone, commands, building, data and texture packs. His problem solving skills are magnificent.
Great video! Wouldn't put Docm77 on there since he doesn't design many farms nowadays, or Shulkercraft since he doesn't really design farms - just makes tutorials, even if the farm creator has already made one 🙄
