Saw her perform at the NC State University student union in the 70's with the Hot Band. Ricky Scaggs, Rodney Crowell, Glen Hardin and Emory Gordy and I think Hank Devito. I sat 10 feet in front of her. Needless to say, it was absolutely mind blowing. She still is.
I don't get how it is possible for someone to be so talented. In the 70's, she was amazing, more talented than anyone the same age as her now. But she was probably about 60 in this video. You wouldn't even be able to tell how old she is if you weren't watching. Her talent is timeless

Don't get me wrong, I love Emmylou and I think she would agree with what I'm about to say. Linda Ronstadt was out touring and making records back in the 70's and she has a kick ass voice. Totally different than Emmylou's but if you give Linda a close listen, she has a truly amazing voice. And that voice was taken away too soon. I saw Linda Ronstadt in concert when I was in college, 1980. I've seen Emmylou in concert 5 times from 2000-last month 2022. At 75 Emmylou can still sing and bring an audience along with her for the evening. And she always gives Gram honors at her concerts with a song or two. God Bless Emmylou, her voice just calms me down and makes me happy!
What in the world are you talking about???? It's called grey hair!! It happens naturally when you get OLD. For some of us it happens earlier - like Emmylou and me. Are you just trying to act stupid? No one can dye their hair this color. It's hollow inside. Look at the texture of it change over the years too.
after seeing her like a dozen times, and hearing her do this song for years, this is a rather snoozy performance of sin city. missing chorus etc, too slow. even the band looks like they need to do a line. wheels came out ok. : ) (ive heard a lot of people cover sin city and i dont like any of them, however gram's version is ok. his version of wheels is the shitz with the fuzz guitar~this version could benefit from some pshchedelia)
