Thanks for the linear presentation of the ideas. I will always love the sims & They will always be the first! Yet, I don’t trust EA and I can’t wait to support a new game with the beautiful Unreal Engine.
I honestly am so happy you came to this conclusion, because I also once had to come to this conclusion about the Sims 3. I loved Sims 2 so much and Sims 3 ruined the Sims for me, to the point that I quit. But it’s not about which game is better, it’s a subjective personal preference. And even if you don’t understand why someone else likes or dislikes something, it’s a game and not worth being mean to each other over it. I agree with you that it’s not really about comparing the games that is the problem. Instead, it’s how the players treat each other and instead of having a conversation, it’s just getting into arguments and treating other players badly over their opinions.
Inzoi is a beautiful game, and I want every life stimulation game to succeed. I don't want to compare them, because every life stimulation game offers something different. I like what Inzoi offers, but I don't want to play it!
If we can't compare any other Simulation games to the Sims, what else to we look for a reference point? The Sims is the only one life Sim game for 24 years, and we have no direct competition until recently. I do wish people just agree to disagree with things and move on. Having different opinions is NOT a personal attack and no matter which camp your in, the video game is NOT your friend. Stop defending a video game like your life depends on it lol.
Interesting idea that a large part of the negativity out there is due to players making the game part of their identity or choosing to display their identity through the game, then not recognizing that criticism of the GAME does not mean criticism of THEM. I guess I never thought of it like that. It explains a lot of the irrational toxicity around this franchise.

Comparison makes sense. Sims is the only life sim to reference. Just like you can compare 2 different shooting games to each other
💯
